- 416glendaa00Morning MudlarkingRobert was very well versed in the history and culture. He was informative and at the end most helpful in trolling through everyone’s finds. A fabulous couple of hours on the foreshore. Highly recommend
- Coloradocolemans00Great time!I have wanted to go mudlarking for quite some time and this did not disappoint. It was so much fun and our guide was very knowledgeable.
- Sherazadellie00A fabulous TourI went on the Charlie Chaplin Tour on a lovely sunny Autumn day. I enjoyed the afternoon immensely. Robert arrived in a Chaplin costume and led the tour taking us to different historical buildings which played a part in the early life of Charlie Chaplin. Outside each building, Robert gave an interesting talk, describing in graphic detail the traumatic childhood events which led to his final rise to fame in the USA. I hghly recommend this Tour leader as he has a wealth of historical knowledge, which he imparts in a friendly & humourous way. He also carries a mic so that his talks can be clearly heard by all.
- sandrinelU234OC00Experienced Tour guide and Interesting OutingI have done a few DAY TRIP BY COACH with CULTURE SEEKERS organised by ROB - I visited the COSTWOLDS - HERTFORSHIRE- EAST SUSSEX etc Everytime I had a wonderfull time - It was on time, the coach confortable and Rob was very attentive to everyone needs and was very caring to all. He is very knowledgeable and has some fun facts on the way. I have also done some TREASURE HUNT : really good fun and so well organised! I came solo and felt safe and welcome - I highly recommend this trips out of London and Tours in London. Rob, the organiser is full of anecdotes and very caring of his guests.
- colinhB2678UE00Beachcombing bonanzaAfter a quick guide on what to look out for, we spent 2-hours combing the Thames foreshore before Robert (our guide) gave all our finds some historical context. Would recommend this to anyone interested in London's history because the Thames has been a dumping ground for centuries and most of what has been tipped into it is still out there, just waiting to be discovered.
- NA76500Interesting and unique experienceWhat fun! I had a great time combing the Thames foreshore in search of washed up treasures. Highly recommend this unique way to get up close and personal with the Thames and things that found there way into it.
- AnnaCaterinaF100Treasure hunting on the river Thames!I absolutely loved it! I met new people, they were all super friendly and chatty. Robert (the organiser) at the beginning of the tour gave us some great tips on what to look for our search and at the end of our treasure hunting, as I call it, he looked at all the things we found giving us dates and information to understand better what we found. One of the participants found a clay pipe from the 1600! Amazing! I will definitely go back as it was such a great experience and even if I went by myself I found some really lovely people to connect with! I would definitely recommend you to give it a try!!
- Ianmorris198100Great morning searching for London's overlooked treasuresMe and my 9 year old Son had a great morning mudlarking. Our guide, Robert, was very helpful and knowledgeable. My son had a great time searching for bits of London's history, especially the clay pipes. Once we had finished, Robert was able to help us identify and date our finds. Look forward to doing it again
- I4241NXshelleyl00"Mud larking" on the Thames was a wonderful experience."Mud larking" on the Thames was a wonderful experience. Robert is extremely knowledgeable and can date an artifact with a quick glance. He kindly gave me some shards of pottery from the Tudor era as the bits I picked up from the shore weren't very old. I highly recommend this tour.
- colleensW5118BJ00Loved itWe had a great time and came home with some treasures. I appreciated that our guide could direct us and also date/explain our finds.
- Trip72336100Great experience, will be back.We had a great time mudlarking along the Thames. Robert was a great guide and knew loads about the various bits we found. Very interesting and relaxing experience and a friendly group of people. Was interesting finding a medieval piece of tile.
- wendyq29500Great Thames Beachcombing.Easy to communicate with online. Friendly welcome. Very informative. Everything provided gloves, bags. Leisurely pace no hurrying. Easy to approach and ask questions along the way. Just a shame we didn't walk either to the end of the shore or back to where we started. Brilliant enjoyable morning. Loved it
- CKSL00Day Trips by Coach to picturesque villages and townI have done a few day trips to visit different parts of UK and see scenic and historical villages with Robert. These trips always exceeded my expectations as they were well organised and fun. Robert gave interesting facts and highlights of each location and we were given time to roam around the little villages on our own. I'll definitely recommend these trips to everyone who loves to get out of the city and make friends.
- jenniferdZ5185CY00Trip to the Wiltshire VillagesReally well organised and enjoyable trip. Great to share an appreciation of history and nature with other members of the group too. Robert provided a lot of insight into the history of each village and provided us each with a helpful map, including instructions for if anyone got lost - always a good idea!
- shoppingorder00highly recommended!I have been active on many events, I love the variety, the fun they bring with them yet they are highly informative ...

I went on one of the Culture Seekers Chaplin Walks last Sunday and I can highly recommend it. I enjoyed every moment, from the start when the Tour Guide met the group dressed in a life-like Chaplin costume, to the end, when he invited us to enter a small contest to win a prize! In between, we walked short distances between different buildings in the Lambeth area of London where Chaplin spent his early years. At each stop, Robert gave a very interesting talk, recounting the history behind the building before us and bringing his often poignant tales to life with added humour.

Robert played the full part, fully dressed up as Charlie Chaplin , even with the stick . He had a folder with pictures of Charlie as a child to a grown man, so easy to visualise as he did a commentary on all the historic landmarks . Robert is so knowledgeable and even in the freezing cold and rain he carried on. He is very attentive making sure no one fell behind .

Very enjoyable, interesting, and well-presented info on Chaplin's life. I'm not even a huge Chaplin fan, and I still had a great time. Robert didn't spend much time on the darker sides of Chaplin (e.g. his love of teenage girls), but on the other hand, the parts of Chaplin's life Robert did focus on were inspiring.

This is the third walk I've been on with the Culture Seekers and it didn't disappoint. Robert is a great host, very organised and full of intersting facts about Charlie's early years, I especially enjoyed hearing about what life was like in a Victorian workhouse. The group are a friendly mix of people making for an enjoyable couple of hours

SO interesting because Robert is passionate about CC’s life story and brought it to life by the stories and places we visited. I loved this Tour. A walk in the nearby park afterwards and a coffee and cake finished the day off. Recommended

Excellent walk in every respect! Interesting, and oftentimes sad-stroke-shocking, story behind formative years of Charlie Chaplin that also brings London's Lambeth area at the turn of the 19/20th centuries back to life. If you want to know the stuff this world famous comedian was really made of or wondering what the life of less well-off people was like a hundred and something years ago, then you are in for a teat!
The tour is very well organised, captivating and will leave you wanting to see and know more. Definitely not a one to miss!

If you want to learn something new go with Robert. He’s so passionate about what he’s doing. Robert is an excellent story teller. Makes you surprised. With photos he shows during the tour you would understand more and gives a good image of the place.
