People of Colour - Avoid Golden Tours
People of Color - Please avoid Golden Tours. The company is repressing my review with intimidation as well. We reserved the 9 tickets to the bath, stonehenge and Windsor castl day tour, which included several members of my family including my son and 72 year old aunt. We were a party of 9 (1/3 of the bus) and encountered several issues. Firstly, our tour bus stranded us at Windsor Castle. It was raining and the instructions were not clear on where to meet. Despite our best efforts (senior citizens, young kids, slippery surface and other extenuating factors) to return on time, the bus departed without us, causing significant inconvenience and distress. There was no communication or warning of the bus departure. I saw the bus leave 15 min late in the morning waiting for bus passengers in London Victoria. Secondly, we had to wait for buying entry tickets when the description says entries to attractions are included in the chosen destinations. This led to additional time at Windsor and tickets being sold out at Bath. We weren’t informed and led to severe stress and dissatisfaction. This lack of consideration is unacceptable, especially considering that we were a large group. To compound the issue, we had to chase the bus down in two Ubers (£200) to Stonehenge. Upon arrival, the conductor showed no remorse or acknowledgment of the situation. This dismissive attitude added to our frustration and disappointment. In the end, we missed out seeing Stonehenge as well. Furthermore, we felt that the treatment we received was discriminatory. The conductor’s (Lisa, I think) behavior towards us was not only unprofessional but also felt racially biased. This is deeply concerning and unacceptable. Also, when my son wanted to use the restroom on the way back, she refused to stop the bus and asked my son to wait till we reach destination. He was under severe distress for 20 min. She refused to speak to us, had a curt and derogaoratory attitude to every brown person on the bus and was mingling only with the whites. We chose Golden Tours based on reputation for excellent service, but our experience has severely tarnished that perception. I had requested a thorough investigation into this matter and a reached out to the customer service 10 days ago. I havent heard a single reply yet. Please avoid golden tours. They are not worth a single penny.

        Great experience!
Excellent tour!! Our guide Tim was really knowledgeable, entertaining and responsive to questions!! I’ve heard other tours use pre recorded audio, but I highly recommend having a tour guide.

        100/10 best experience ever.
Absolutely outstanding service. Driver, staff & tour guides could not have gone any further to make your experience amazing. All staff have gone above & beyond. All with a smile. All trying to make sure that you have the best experience. Informative, funny & truly outstanding. We loved it. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. My only quibble....is the music in between the sites. 2 tunes....jolly ...but annoying. On the plus side, they keep going round my head, reminding me of a wonderful time. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

The best way to see York!
What a great way to see and experience the highlights of York. And what a bonus to have Rich B. as our driver/guide; he was informative, fun, highly knowledgeable and at the same time entertaining. He made you feel he was telling all those stories for the first time, which is quite an achievement. Very highly recommended!

        Very poor
We had a tour with Lucy (claimed to be a free lancer) and malcom (driver) I am writing this review specifically for Lucy. Being a very annoying guide all through the tour, she was continuously ranting loudly all the possible thing she knew about london and stonehenge. Did not let anyone have a decent peaceful sleep over the 2 hour long bus ride. Secondly, on reaching the locations, she left all of us on our own with no guidance whatsoever. Such a waste of money. I would have done these two places on my own instead of going on with her Beware if lucy is there cancel your tour

Best tour for value, entertainment, comprehensive
Have gone on quite a few Hop On, Hop Off tours in various cities with my family. So happy that we chose Golden tours for both value for a family of 7 but for the personalized tour with Emma and Tim. Some sections heard both the recordings and these 2, and my family and I much preferred Tim and Emma over the recordings. Learned so much and very entertaining!

Zozo, the “Best Tour Guide” in Europe 💓
Our London Day tour was absolutely fantastic, the best tour I ever had in a long time because of Zozo, our tour guide. He was very polite, very knowledgeable, very enthusiastic from beginning to end! He’s totally brilliant My 3 friends & I all enjoyed this tour so much. After London, we went on other 12 tours around the British Isles and cities in Belgium, we can’t help but wished Zozo was our tour guide.

Top notch experience. Live guide added extra layer to this sublime experience.
I did a similar tour with another company with headphones. But this tour was live. And that made this experience unbelievable and unforgettable. These anecdotes and small jokes make the difference. You get to see the highlights at your own pace and bus passes at regular intervals.

Family bus tour with the most friendly and helpful tour guide
It was so fun seeing all the big attractions of London and just take it all in. Our tour guide, Emma, was most informative and gave lots of tips for sightseeing, getting the best photos shots, and helping us plan our trip for the week. Loved every minute!

We have loved the Wonderlab exhibit in the past but it is looking a little tired and worn around the edges now, with not enough wooden steps for my 3 year old to participate in the exhibits.

But by far the worst part were the live demos with the demonstrators screaming down their microphones everywhere, at rock concert volumes. Really, really awful experience. We left with our ears ringing feeling totally shattered. Won’t be going back.

Booked after recommendation, wasn't disappointed. Lots to do and try, had a 10year old but for all ages. Exhibits and experiments fantastic delivered by a very enthusiastic team. A really good day out coup,ed with the science museum itself although I would say eat elsewhere as very expensive, £10.95 for a kids fish fingers and wedges, shocking!

We came back from this exhibition yesterday, we got a 2 for 1 through days out. It cost both of us £10. Loads of things to do for all ages. I would say the guy doing the chemistry demonstration was fantastic with the kids Patrick I think he was called.

I took my grandson aged 11 to the science museum and pre booked the Wonderlab at 1:30. After lunch we went up at about 1:00 and they let us in. We spent the next 3 hours just in there looking at and trying out the experiments of all different sciences. Especially great was a virtually continuous set of presentations. We went to Chemistry, Explosions, Rockets, Electricity and Light. All were entertaining and educational and the presenters were all excellent engaging the audience both adults and children. Highly recommended. After we continued around the rest of the museum.

My daughter (5) absolutely loved the games, the slides and the experiments. It really was very good fun. The live shows were engaging.

The only let down was the appallingly rude woman (American? Canadian?) at the entrance monitoring arrivals. She seemed to have a genuine disdain for everyone she spoke to and it did ruin the experience somewhat.

Beyond that though, definitely worth it.

I was here two days’ ago with my nieces and nephew, aged between 5 and 11. They really loved it and we were there for nearly 3 hours. We could have easily stayed longer and I found it all fascinating and great to see so many children enjoying themselves. We passed the Chemistry guy doing a presentation and he had a packed crowd and was so enthusiastic. All the staff were really hands-on and friendly. There were presentations in the auditorium and I saw the ‘maths’ one by a young guy called Dan (?), he was great and so good with the children who participated including my niece! Value for money and highly recommended.
