Stop: 3 hours - Admission included
You may think that visiting a museum with your kids can be an overwhelming and boring experience, and that can be true if you don't do it in the right way. With our child-oriented tours, we want to make sure that all the family will get the best out of this experience, learning about history and having fun at the same time! You will meet your guide and the Small Group (max 12 ppl) just outside the museum and from there you will start a marvellous discovery of the British Museum, one of the largest museums in the world, covering an area of over 92,000 square meters (990,000 square feet). The highlights of the tour are the Ancient Egyptian, the Greek and the Sutton Hoo sections. Your guide, an expert in tours with families with children, will guide you through the numerous rooms of the museum selecting the most interesting and famous pieces ever discovered, such as the Rosetta Stone, the Egyptian mummies, the sculpture of Ramesses II, the Eligine Marbles, the Sutton Hoo Helmet and many more findings and artifacts! With anecdotes and stories, the guide will fascinate you and your children and will capture your attention by bringing history to life and telling you interesting facts about Pharaohs, the lifestyle of Gods and Goddesses, how the mummies where made and about the mystery of the Sutton Hoo site. By the end of the tour you will feel like you a have a better understanding of the history of humanity, and kids and adults alike will be extremely enthusiastic about the visit! This Small Group tour will be a fantastic way to discover this must-see museum in the company of other families with children, guided by a professional who is passionate about history and art.

I was a little nervous about taking my kids, 15 and 7, to the British Museum. Neither has a lot of experience with the history, and I was afraid they would get bored or overwhelmed. Roberta, our guide, made the trip through the museum a perfect mix of history and fun for them.
