Aidan put us at ease right away, once I plucked up the courage to ask if he was waiting for us!
It was clear right from the start that he loved this, and was very knowledgeable, having lived through the era himself. He knew all the little hidey holes off the track, and had loads of stories of growing up near there, and going to these places as a kid.
It wasn't a route march either, as we were going at our pace, which is great as I have really bad knees.
I would really recommend this walking tour to anyone who loves this genre, well worth the money with everything we saw and heard.

Arranged a private tour with Aidan as couldn't make the time for the group tour. Communications were great and joining instructions really clear. Met Aidan on the day and the tour was awesome. He really captured the mood of the time and brought the whole scene to life with our various stops and accompanying pics. Found out so much i didn't know....don't want to give away any spoilers but if you're a punk fan this tour is essential to hear Aidan's slightly different version of events to the history books. Couldn't recommend enough.

Arrange to meet Aidan for a private tour on a hot September day as part of our city break....We have already done the joe Strummer tour with him 2 years ago (2019) and knew to expect a fantastic fact wealthy time and he didn't disappoint, for almost 3 hours he took us round Soho stopping at all the iconic punk based historic spots. His knowledge is astounding and even supplies some stories you wont hear anywhere else he got from his punk acquaintances.
Fantastic tour highly recommended to anybody with an interest in Punk music and is history.

A brilliant 2 hour walking tour through the various sights in London associated with the rise of punk in the UK in the 70s, narrated by Aidan. Aidan is extremely knowledgeable and gave us an in depth talk at each sight/venue we visited. Would highly recommend going on this tour if you want to know more about punk and the role that London played in its rise.

Two of us were in London for a few days and really fancied the punk tour of Soho offered by Aidan. Unfortunately our dates didn't tally with what was available but I contacted Aidan and organised a private tour. It cost a few more pounds each but gave us more time and loads of chat sharing
experiences and anecdotes.
Aidan's knowledge and enthusiasm is limitless. He shares photos of the time that really bring what he talks about alive and made us look at the buildings in Soho and Covent Garden differently.
Soho really is like a self-contained village of music history and Aidan is the one to dig below the surface and bring it alive. Highly, highly recommend it.

This was an excellent tour and Aidan had unlimited facts and stories to recount. My 14 year old punk fan was completely engaged and enjoyed sharing her own stories. Soho is a really interesting area to walk around and Aidan also mentioned sites relevant to other genres. It was interesting to see where iconic clubs used to be and picture how they were in the ‘70s. Looking forward to doing one of the other tours in the future!

Top experience! Aidan, the tour guide, is amazingly knowledgeable and has an excellent delivery manner. He made it all very interesting. Really nice guy. We learnt so many things - often about places we have walked past loads of times and not even noticed. Looking forward to going on more of his walking tours.

An absolutely fantastic tour - Aidan is so knowledgeable and knows what he’s talking about because he actually lived it and has even met some Pistols. For a millennial guest who has read a lot about the Pistols and the London scene there is nothing like experiencing it in person with such a great guide. Could not recommend this tour enough - do it or you’ll feel pretty vacant…

Undertook this tour with Aidan the guide in early April with my wife and five visiting Swedish tourists!
Advertised as a two hour walking tour it was nearer the 2h 20m when we finished.
The tour starts at Tottenham Court Rd tube station. A very easy and central starting point. It finishes outside the 100 Club on Oxford Rd.
I get the impression Aidan will tailor the tour to the knowledge of the group. In fairness I don't think you undertake this tour unless you have a basic knowledge of the late 70's scene. That said, other bits of the London music scene are included as you do the walk.
It helps that Aidan was part of the scene back in the 70's so is also talking from experience and not just relaying facts
I have visited London countless times over the years, but never actively sought out any of the iconic venues etc. Surprising really just how much of the scene was centered around Soho.
Aidan will use his ipad to illustrate the tour - which of course helps as a number of the venues no longer exist.
Even for someone who had a good knowledge and understanding of the scene, Aidan narrated many an anecdote and interesting fact i was unaware of.
Quite simply a great afternoon out with some like minded folk.
The Strummer walk will be a definite next time I visit London

Absolutely great tour despite the rain. Aidan is great guide, very knowledgeable & good crack. Even if your not an old school Punk Rock anorak like me I'd still recommend this tour, so many interesting aspects that relate to the birth & progression of music & lots of snippets of Soho life & history. Thanks again 👍
