      Omg what a mess !
I actually feel embarrassed to be British after listening to this rubbish ! My god, if that's what we are telling tourists about our wonderful London history we're doomed. So much music and little commentary. 80% music - loud and annoying. The actual Limited commentary wasn't bad but so little of it. Add to that, the commentary played at times we were no where near the actual sites being spoken about and you can imagine the shambles this tour was. I'm a tour bus guide in Lincoln so maybe I just have high expectations of what a tour should be but this was absolutely dire ! On another note, buses are incredibly dirty. Oh dear, sorry to the tourists that think this is all London is about. Needs drastic improvement.

      London trip
We booked this as it was top of the searches on our devices - big mistake!! The bus trip itself was interesting in all the things it passed and London was beautiful on a sunny day. However, the commentary was simply awful!! If you wanted to find out about the female commentator snuggling up to her boyfriend in the tunnel under Waterloo Station or how her tighs were burning after climbing the Monument amongst other trivial stories that is fine, but it lacked any real information about the most amazing city with such history. Added to this, it did not give directions of where to look so much time was spent searching to find points of interest and inevitably they had been driven past by the time we found them! I appreciate it is difficult to time a recorded commentary in a busy city but more focussed information and less piped music would have made this much more enjoyable. We honestly thought we were listening to the childrens channel when the male commentator spent minutes talking about a trip to the theatre with his godfather! Secondly, we took the yellow route which advertised itself as having buses every 15 minutes. We waited 40 minutes at one stop and 30 at another. Every other open top bus company came through at least twice whilst we were waiting so this was definitely not a regular service and in the end we decided not to hop on hop off as we dreaded the wait on what was one of the hottest days of the year. On a positive note, the buses were comfortable, the ear buds clean and the drivers were all helpful and polite which is why I gave 2 stars as they were working hard and helping people on and off the buses with a smile. This has so much potential but needs some serious work on its commentary and timetabling!

      Very infrequent pickups!!
We waited at the Buckingham Palace stop for well over an hour. Other company’s buses came and went several times while we waited. Choose one of them.

      Great Tour
Amazing! Loved this tour bus and River cruise! Fahmida was very helpful in getting us on the right track. The River cruise staff was humorous and entertaining.

Too much music, not interesting commentary
Great if you prefer listening to music rather than commentary, after about 20 minutes, I started the clock and it turned out that of the remaining 47 minutes of our trip, only 17 was with commentary. That may be understandable if traffic is slow etc, but we passed by landmarks such as Downing Street and St. Pauls Cathedral without so much as a mention. What they did mention, was the office location of the female commentator, which I frankly could not care less about.

      Not really worth it
Staff wasnt present in some of the stops. Twice we were not given the accurate info which lead to us paying a cap 2 times on top of the very pricy bus-ticket. Not very easy to find out when last bus starts at what station. Allthough the driver told us to wait, last train of yellow line did not show up on time (13/7/24).Then app was not of big help. The audio-info is ok. It is a little play between to people, M/ f of 34 that live and work in London and tell about the city. They tried hard to make it entertaining. I missed basic infos about historie. The thing is that they dont point out clearly which direction to look ("on the right/ left you see" would have been helpfull). I missed a lot of things because of a lack of clear info. Heard 10 times on the same tour though, why black caps are black. They tend to repeat parts of the tour and interrupt it. Music is ok but too loud most of the time. Conclusion: Too expensive for not a lot of info and service.

Don’t choose this for your hop on hop off experience unless you like to wait
If you want a good hop on hop off experience, choose another company! We waited more than forty minutes for a bus at Tower Bridge … while the other companies were coming every ten minutes. When a bus finally did come, the audio commentary didn’t work. The river cruise, on the other hand, was excellent… with great live commentary

      HoHo bus
Bus route was good. Wr were able to see most of the top sights in London, except Buckingham Palace. We never had to wait long for a bus, Which was difgerent from other tour buses I’ve been on. Just be sure the bus stop sign includes the name Tootbus as a bus that stops there. They really need to change the recorded guide message. it's full of corny jokes and lacking in information about what you're seeing

Worst London tour experience I've been on
Of all my years doing the bus tours in London, this episode was the worst (the bus segment). The staff were unprofessional, unhelpful and gave us misinformation. A group of 5 of us started the tour at 1:32pm and did both blue and yellow line. We wanted to finish our tour with the city cruise. When we got back to Victoria station after 5pm on the blue line we were told to take the yellow line to get back to the city cruise pick up. That turned out to be false as the blue line would have gotten us there quicker. The elderly African driver on the yellow bus route was angry and kept shouting at us and told us we should go back on the blue bus route to get to the cruise. We explained to him that his colleagues told us we should take his bus to get there. He stormed off the bus to confront his colleagues about it, then we were reluctantly told to stay on the blue route as they don't have anymore drivers- this angered the driver even more. We were driven past the Picadilly stop where they changed drivers and wasted more time. We asked the new driver if we could still catch the city cruise and he said we should forget about it as its too late. This meant we got to the London Eye stop at 7pm feeling dejected as we really wanted to do the cruise. Luckily, one of my friend suggested we should still go to the pick up point to see if we could get on the cruise and we managed to get on the very last cruise of the day. The cruise was a much better experience as the staff we welcoming and professional and the tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable. Overall a bad experience for my friends who were visiting the 🇬🇧 for the 1st time. Will stick with the Big Bus tour for next time as I am guaranteed a better experience.

      Excellent choice
The trip was outstanding. I reserved a seat online. Their infrastructure is excellent: there were many places to get off and on; uniformed people at stops to answer questions and even various different routes that one could take. Perfect for adults and kids. Good price/value.

Toot buses time and location are dissapointing
Toot buses from the beginning were 30 minutes late. We exited the blue line to catch the yellow, after being told buses arrive every 15 mins. An hour later a bus arrived. We saw the attractions exited to catch the boat cruise and again were told the next boat was in an hour. Ended up taking an Uber boat ride for an additional 9 pds. Afterward we walked to London Tower, then walked to the bus stop indicated on the Toot map to wait for an additional hour, only to be turned away because we were not in the exact spot. Spot markings were inaccurate and the frequency of buses was dismal. We never did get on the Toot bus, had to find a ride back to the hotel with one Toots competitors who were gracious enough to pick up three desperate women.

      Awesome!
I was stuck on my own in London for a day and wanted to see a lot of the city. But I wasn't comfortable navigating solo, so I hopped on the Tootbus! Booking was really easy on my phone, and I downloaded the app too so I could keep track of where I was on the route (they also provide paper maps, which was helpful when my phone battery got low). I got to see SO MUCH of London, things I was not expecting to see on my own! And the voice over was a nice addition (although I would have preferred more actual history and less personal commentary from the hosts). An awesome experience! Was able to get off at my leisure as well, the flexibility was great! And all for a fairly affordable price too. Would use again!

      Absolutely worthless
There’s many choices, don’t pick this one. You’ll be confused about where you are all the time. They didn’t follow the tour, didn’t drop us off at the stop for our river cruise so we had to walk a mile, didn’t care to announce where we were and the app with the sound guide kept skipping because the bus was driving past the landmarks like a mad man, so we had no idea where we were at any point. The information that was available at times, wasn’t that interesting so I think it was a total waste of money. Thank goodness the skipper on the river cruise boat made up some of it. I strongly recommend picking a different one, there are many choices. Also good to keep in mind; we were in London in June and thought we would beat the crowds. But we didn’t. The city is packed with people around this time.

Fantastic London Tour with Exceptional Staff and Taylor Swift Music
My experience was absolutely fantastic! The tour lasted about an hour and a half, with a little extra time due to traffic. It was a superb way to enjoy the main buildings of London. We were lucky with the weather, so we could enjoy our drinks in the London Bus Bar, the personalized Taylor Swift one, which, if you're a fan, made the experience even better. The best part was how nice and attentive the staff were. Their great energy and treatment made exploring London incredibly enjoyable. Highly recommended

Disappointing. It started off on the wrong foot when our tour bus went to the wrong bus stop! We'd been told that the normal bus stop on Charles II Street was closed, so we were told to go to a stop on Haymarket instead... but despite this, the bus still went to Charles II. By the time we and several other families who'd been waiting at Haymarket got to the other bus stop, other people had already boarded so the top deck was nearly full. We got lucky and were able to get a seat on the top deck (albeit under the covered section rather than the open air bit), but several families had to go downstairs - really disappointing as we were all waiting at the Haymarket stop in plenty of time to get a good seat. Once the tour started I'm afraid I wasn't impressed with the guide either. He started by rambling on about a bloke called Peter who apparently normally does the Kid's Tours, "but Peter's not here, so I'm stuck doing this tour today". Not a great first impression! Our guide didn't seem familiar with the route so his commentary didn't flow well - several times he pointed something out as the bus had already passed it and he repeated himself a few times too. He only seemed to talk to the people in the open top section of the bus, so because he didn't say "on your left" and "on your right", those of us seated behind him or downstairs had to guess what he was pointing at. To top it all off, the commentary didn't seem particularly tailored to children either - he pointed out the M&M's shop and talked about Hamley's toy shop (twice...) but other than that it seemed quite standard tour guide patter. He didn't engage the children very well at all. The 3 stars I've given this tour are 1) for the very quick apology I received from Tootbus when I complained, 2) the offer of a free family ticket to use in the next 12 months, and 3) because I felt really sorry for the poor Tootbus rep who had been waiting with us at the 'wrong' bus stop, also expecting to be picked up there!

What a fantastic tour for kids! We were very lucky to have the brilliant Alex as our tour guide and Steve the driver. Alex was an absolute credit to Tootbus! He was thoroughly engaging and enthusiastic, my 6yo son loved him and had so much fun answering his questions and looking out for the landmarks Alex was telling us about. The tour is just long enough for kids so as not to lose their interest yet takes in some really good sights along the way. Absolutely worth the money, we would do it again for sure and we will recommend the Tootbus Kids Tour to friends and family visiting London.
Thank you to Alex from Gabriel, he had the best time!

Disorganised muddle sums up the start of our tour. We had pre booked the 3pm kids tour. We allowed plenty of time to get to the location we had been provided with for the start of the tour and arrived 15 minutes in advanced as directed. We then dutifully waited with other families who had pre booked. We were slightly concerned as there was absolutely no signage and no representative to meet us and confirm arrangements. With less than 5 minutes before the start time a bus arrived. However it was not our bus. Instead another family received information which wasn’t provided to us and started to head back up to the top of Haymarket.

Finally a To-ot rep turned up and informed me that we were in the wrong location. Rather than an apology for the confusion arising from the poor communication I was informed that the correct details had been published on the website. However, this wasn’t much use to me, I had followed the links and directions sent in the confirmation email - the links had not been update and I had not received any email advising me to recheck the details on the website. My son and I had to run up Haymarket to ensure we didn’t miss the bus as we only had 2 minutes before the departure time. My elderly and immobile father then had to rush up Haymarket in order to get to the bus on time - this after we had allowed plenty of time for a gentle and relaxed walk.

To put it bluntly I was disgusted with the attitude of this employee and the lack of apology for the considerable inconvenience that we (and more importantly my immobile father) had been put to.

The tour itself was good and my son enjoyed it. However I will be reluctant to recommend a company that appears so disorganised and has so little consideration for elderly customers.

We (2 adults and 2 children) attended the kids tour. We happened to bump into a friendly tootbus employee near to Leicester square who accompanied us to Charles II St and meant we got there a bit earlier than we expected but meant we were able to get on the bus quicker and get a seat on the top deck. The bus was busy and my son was very happy to be on top of the open top bus.

Peter the tour guide, really engaged the children, asking lots of questions, asking them to spot things, pointing out all the sights and giving them fun facts.

I'd definitely recommend it to families, the duration was about right for young children and they got to see the main sights of London.

Plastic ponchos provided if you need them.

Really enjoyed the kids tour today with my 10 year old son, who also loved it. The highlight of the tour was Tim, the avuncular and entertaining guide, whose capacity for historical detail, random trivia and dad jokes was astonishing.

The bus itself was lovely, having never seen London from the top deck of an open topped bus, it really has to be done to appreciate London’s visitor highlights.

The journey was a reasonable time, especially for younger children but we could have - and will - stayed on for much longer.

It was the price that originally attracted me, feeling far more reasonable than most of the tours I’d looked at and having done it I’d say it was excellent value.

Would thoroughly recommend. When we’re back in the Summer we’ll be trying one of their other tours.

Went with our two boys , 4 and 9. Bus driver was very nice and let us on early too. We sat upstairs in the front which had the best view and felt safer for the little one. Tour guide was very clear and the information was interesting and suitable for children as well as adults. 45 minutes was perfect for a young family to get to see the main parts of London City in a short space of time without tonnes of walking. The little booklet was perfect for the kids, especially the 9 year old. The easter chocolate at the end was a nice touch too. Thanks so much!

We booked this tour to give the kids in our group (6, 5 and 4 yrs) an introduction to London. When you book, you are given clear instructions on where to meet. We were met by the guide and a colleague who welcomed us, checked tickets and kept us informed on the whereabouts of the bus very efficiently. The bus was about 10/15 mins late but there is only so much you can do about the traffic! Everyone got a seat upstairs and when we got going, our guide (Jez) shared lots of interesting information that really engaged everyone on board. 45 mins was just the right length for the kids, who also appreciated the free activity book they were given.

I did this tour with my 6 and 8 year old and it was really good. 45 minutes is just right and we got to see all the main sights. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and child-friendly in the way he spoke and it was pitched just right. It’s first come first serve for the top deck and they start a queue with whoever gets there and shows tickets first so it’s wise to be there around 20 minutes early to be able to get a top deck seat. Recommended.

I’d been searching for a while for a London bus tour to do with my children (aged 7 and 3) and so welcomed the recommendation from a friend to book the Tootbus Kids Tour.

Our driver was great and Jez the MC was brilliant - entertaining but not obtrusive at all. 45 minutes felt like the perfect amount of time and it’s an ideal route for a tour with kids, with highlight sights and interesting facts throughout, which kept us all engaged. The little activity books for the kids are also a really nice touch. A bonus too that we couldn’t have wished for nicer weather to be on an open top bus!
