About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hollygF3824RR0 contributionsTerrific start to our visit to London! This was my second time seeing the Changing of the Guards...last time with a different tour company. Charlotte did a terrific job of getting us up close and positioned for the perfect photo ops along the Mall and outside of Buckingham Palace. She even timed our visit just right, so we had the opportunity to also see the Horse Guards Parade. The tour of Westminster City was very informative and Charlotte was extremely friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend this tour to learn more about the history of this incredible city!Written 31 January 2025
- Whitneywl0 contributionsAlways go with LivToursLivTours never disappoints! The Borough Market Food Tour was delicious, fun, and educational. I loved learning about how all the global influences come together in British Food. Luke was a great guide. I highly recommend.Written 22 January 2025
- JMP15Boston_MA0 contributionsPerfect mix of history, sightseeing and photo opportunities! We met up with Charlotte on a misty January morning and her personality brightened the day from the very first minute she greeted us! Our tour group could have been 6 people, but we were lucky enough to have her all to ourselves. I really enjoy stories about the people, life, and times before us, but not necessarily a history lesson overwhelmed with facts and figures. Charlotte's presentation of information was perfect, as she told us about each site we were seeing on our walk in an entertaining, relatable and accessible manner. She also had the perfect balance of relaying information and allowing us moments to ourselves to take it all in, ask her questions, and just "be" in the moment. She found the perfect points along the route of Changing the Guard for us to see (and understand) what was taking place, why things sometimes change, and what to expect. I think if we had tried to go to the Changing of the Guard on our own, we likely would have enjoyed it, but thought "what's the big deal" and definitely would not have seen or understood all the little details that go into the event. We had previously passed Big Ben and Westminster Abbey earlier in our trip, but again, we didn't have the history or context that truly brought these landmarks to light until we toured with Charlotte. I highly recommend this tour for families of all ages, especially with Charlotte, as she is patient and adaptable. I imagine she can easily adjust her sharing of information to all ages and levels of interest.Written 11 January 2025

- Jessicareed090 contributionsFamily-friendly way to explore cityEven though it wasn’t the best weather and we didn’t get to see the Changing of the Guard, we really enjoyed our tour with Luke. He had great perspectives as a half American who grew up in London. It was a ton of walking but my 70yo mom and 10yo daughter had no trouble and the time passed quickly enjoying the morning! He had timely facts related to Christmas decorations, and made sure we made some side stops at places for photos like decorated trees.Written 4 December 2024

- marianthi0 contributionsGreat historical tourOur family of five had a wonderful morning tour with Charlotte. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and engaging - and even kept the attention of our three boys (ages 18, 15 and 11). She was lovely and made our tour fun and exciting. She also helped provide restaurant recommendations and tips on visiting other sites and attractions while in London.Written 4 August 2024
- 100onlypositive0 contributionsExcellent tour with Luca ! 👌My tour guide was Luca! He was absolutely amazing. I do have a knowledge in the art world and been around many world museums with did guide, but what made Luca so special to me - because he is so passionate and extremely knowledgeable about his vocation and he generously shared all the knowledge he had. Being an Italian he deepened his knowledge in the museum archives of the most important olds master biographies, modern and contemporary art. I was blown away by small details he knew about all the artists I asked about and the arts on the view at the museum. Thank you so much. Left a huge positive impression after visiting the Tate Modern!Written 17 July 2024
- Z3648NOkime0 contributionsWW2 museums with my familyI wanted to visit museums related to WW2 and I knew it might not be the thing my teenagers most wanted to do. But they all said after that Pepe was a great guide and I think he made it interesting even for them. We got a lot more out of the museums than we would have without him. It was a great tour.Written 16 July 2024

On our recent trip to London we took our family on a fantastic tour through the British Museum with LivTours! After using LivTours in Italy last summer we were excited to sign up again in the UK and this was definitely one of the best. We were traveling with our two daughters ages 10 & 15 and our expert guide, Ivo, did an amazing job of making the entire tour incredibly interesting and relatable as we took a “tour of the world through the known history”. Ivo is incredibly knowledgeable, he expertly navigated us through a huge museum and was one of the highlights of our trip to England. There is just so much to see at the British Museum and with limited time, having a guided tour was critical. Thanks Ivo and thanks to the Liv team for another terrific experience!

We had arranged a private tour of the British Museum for our family of four with LivTours. Ivo, our tour guide, was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about history in general and the museum. He took us through multiple eras/civilizations, and showed us important artifacts from each period. There is too much to see in just two hours, but Ivo did a terrific job showcasing the British Museum in that condensed time frame. Can’t recommend him and this tour enough!!

We were on a private Kids tour of the British museum with Ivo. Ivo was very professional and knew in depth knowledge of the areas we went to. He was very easy going, easy to talk to, welcomed and answered all our questions. It was clear that he had a passion for history and had a detailed understanding of the significance of the items we looked at in relation to time and place in history. He also recommended other sources of information if we wanted to learn more about what we looked at. The most impressive thing I found was how attentive he was to my five year old daughter and made sure she was included on the whole journey from start to finish. Very polite and very professional. Would do it all over again.

We went on the Guided Tour for Families at the British Museum with Eleisha. It was such a wonderful experience. We met her around 9:45am for our 10am entry to the museum. There was already a long line waiting for the museum to open, but thanks to Ellie, we had a spot right at the front. On this museum tour, we explored the highlights of the world-famous collection of ancient treasures of the British Museum including the: Rosetta Stone, Egyptian mummies, Greek and Roman Statues, Easter Island Head, Lewis Chessman, Sutton Hoo and Parthenon Marbles. Ellie told stories about the history and kept the kids fully engaged as we explored the museum. We all really enjoyed and learned so much on this tour!

As my wife is not quite the history buff that I try to be, she was indulging me for this tour. Luca knew exactly where to go for the highlights and was able to talk about any and everything that we saw even if it was not on his “highlights” agenda. It certainly made the morning interesting for both of us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend Luca to anyone who is even thinking about this tour!
