WW2 presented with a clear narrative thread!
I thought our tour guide gave us all a linked history of WW2 in London with skill and dexterity I will look at the Battle of Britain monument with renewed understanding and respect. The tour lasted 90 minutes but he gave me much to think about which is value for money in my view!!!

    Tour of change of guards
Had Richard as the tour guide. He was knowledgeable and it was fun to have him. He was well informed and that gave us the opportunity to see King Charles pass by in his motorcade.

    Great Tour with Sir Lee
Our guide Lee was great. Easy to locate him at meeting site, very knowledgeable and fun sense of humor. I'd also like to mention how accommodating this company was with helping to reschedule tour date due to an unexpected change with another tour. Jolly good 👍

Such a fun & informative tour!!
Nathan is a terrific guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves sharing his information. All five of us (with ages ranging from 12 through 50) thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Nathan kept a lively pace at all times but never felt rushed, spoke in a clear, strong voice, and tied timelines together in a very engaging way. I highly recommend taking this tour with Nathan.

Urban Saunters - WW2 tour - highly recommend
My husband and I recently participated in a London walking tour focusing on WW2 and finishing with the Churchill War Rooms. I highly recommend this tour; it was both informative and entertaining. Our tour guide Francis was professional and courteous, and his witty conversation and ease with his surroundings made the experience truly memorable. His knowledge, relatability, and kindness made this tour one of the highlights of our trip!

Getting to see Buckingham Palace without the crowds is definitely worth the early wake up!
The Early Morning Royal Westminster Guided Walking Tour was a fantastic experience overall! Our guide, Nathan, was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He went above and beyond our expectations. Getting to see the sights without the usual crowds of people was a real treat and definitely worth the early wake up. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting London!

Churchill War Room & downtown London
Amber was amazing, friendly, and so knowledgeable about everything Churchill and English history. Plenty of insights, a little singing entertainment, and fun to be around. She'd pause to explain monuments and sites that I had little familiarity with despite multiple past visits. The group of 8 was the perfect size to navigate the crowded London streets. This was probably my favorite Viator tour yet. Thank you Amber.

My tour guide, Rozie, was INCREDIBLE! She was so knowledgeable and funny and made the tour so much fun for everyone. She had a hilarious noise (a high pitched “cacaw”) to keep us together and we had such a good view of everything. If you get the chance to do this tour and you get Rozie, you’ll have the best time while also learning about the history of the guards and the palace(s).

Ah yes, when you hear this sound in the wilds of London, you know you’ve bagged yourself the incredible tour guide, Rozie. Absolutely thrilled you enjoyed your experience so much. Thanks ever so much for leaving this review and of course, choosing to saunter with us. Cacaw!

Amber our tour guide was great! She not only took us to see the old and new color guard but she also gave us a lot of background on the change of the guard, the regiments, and the homes in the area. She also gave us the spots to stand to get a great view. At the end she took our pictures and gave us a great recommendation of where to eat( cafe concerto and it did not disappoint). Great tour guide. By the way she has us interact in a play so we would remember the story and what t was great for us who are not that into history. Loved her!

Loved this tour because we were always on the move to see all kinds of guard change pageantry rather than standing in one spot foe 2 hours. Our guide Francis was the best; knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour included a lot of brisk walking!. Burn off your breakfast! Highly recommend!

Nathan was very engaging, had lots of stories and anecdotes as well as historic facts and pointed out significant buildings and monuments.

Our guide Robert was amazing. He explained the history and meaning behind the changing clearly and with humor. We had a young child in the group and he was sure to engage with him with humor and kindness.
This is not the tour for people who want to spend time at the gates of Buckingham Palace watching the guard rather this is a tour that follows the new and old guard from starting point to finish. We learned a lot and had a great time would definitely recommend.

So happy to hear that wonderful Robert was good times, for all ages. And yes, we agree, standing at the gates of Buckingham Palace doesn’t actually enable you to see as much (and you have to get there so early to even get a good spot most of the time) - we prefer to have our crew get closer to the action!L as it’s happening! We really appreciate these kind words. Thanks for choosing to saunter with US.

We had Nathan as our guide. He was brilliant. He was knowledgeable, funny and really knew how to give us the best experience possible. He knew all the little fun stories to tell us to make the history more human and all the best places to be to see as much of the changing of the guards as possible. Great guide - try to get Nathan- the BEST.

You hit the nail on the head of why this guy, our Nathan, is just so good. He takes history, and makes it human, with a bit of wit and some surprises along the way. Thanks for these extremely kind words – we'll pass them on. We really appreciate you choosing to saunter with US.

This tour was amazing! Our Guide, Francis, was eloquent, clearly understandable with a great sense of humor, and very knowledgeable about everything we saw. He was a Policeman (a "Bobby) as a career and had many great anecdotes to tell us as well including meeting Queen Elizabeth. He knew exactly where we should be for the best photos of the changing guards and marching bands and had us move to the best locations throughout the tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the Guards, the Royal Family members, and the many residences along St. James Park.

That's the thing about the Urban Saunters tour guides... they are so much more than 'just' guides. No scripts. Just true knowledge gleaned from their daily experiences as Londoners and in their diverse and fascinating careers. Our resident ex-Bobby is one such case - pleased to have another member of the Francis fan club. Thanks for choosing to saunter with US.

The woman who led our group was excellent. She led us walking at a reasonable pace and situated us in the best spots so we could view several activities of the guards : from marching, playing bagpipes and other instruments, going to the barracks, horse patrol and ending up in front of Buckingham Palace. It was a very memorable experience! There is some decent walking involved, with steps and encountering loads of other tourists but we were upfront and close! So very cool.

What a splendid tour we had today on our walking tour of the changing of the guards today in London!
Francis (our tour guide) had such thorough knowledge about this process. He was able to position our group to have absolutely the best views while educating us to completely understand what was happening and why.
From the beginning to end our guide made this tour fun and informative, while ensuring we had the absolute best views and photo opportunities.
Every minute was filled with fun facts and real stories about the Royal family and the history relating to this royal experience and tradition.
I highly recommend this walking tour.
This tour provided all the interesting and fun ingredients. I highly encourage all to sign up for this fabulous experience.
