This is the best way to visit the portrait gallery! Charlotte was very pleasant and informative. She is an excellent story teller which helped keep my 10 year olds attention the entire 2 hours. We all learned a lot, so much more than trying to visit on our own. After the tour, we still had time to explore a bit on our own. What a wonderful afternoon spent at the National Portrait Gallery with our guide, Charlotte. Such a great idea to create a tour which invites people to walk around the building, ‘meeting’ famous faces from British history who made their mark through the centuries - some of whom had never previously been on our radar. We learned so much from Charlotte from Rebel Tours, who was so knowledgeable and engaging about these ‘Rogues and Rebels’. And while being educated, we also gazed upon some beautiful artwork. Would recommend taking this two-hour tour.

This tour is one-of-a-kind in a good way. You can't go wrong by booking it. Our guide Ellie gave us a lot of not so well-known facts that provided a deep inside of the history and former living of Covent Garden and Seven Dials. There is much more to it than just the stores and restaurants tourist normally see. Don't want to reveal details here. PLS. see for yourself. Really, it's worth it: funny, entertaining and a learning experience at the same time.

Had some time to pass in London, so booked this as it looked a bit different to the traditional historical tours. Really recommend it. Ellie was excellent, very knowledgeable and authentic. As well as Covent Gardens, we got into the lovely St Paul's Actors Church and explored Seven Dials which I was completely unaware of. There is an additional gin element to the tour, which I didn't do. Great value and a lovely way to spend two hours.

Even after 136 years, the world is still fascinated by the story of a psychopathic killer terrorizing the streets of London. This is not your typical Jack the Ripper tour while visiting London. You will learn a good deal about the women who were sadly murdered during this killing spree. It is also a bit of a history lesson of the time period and a sightseeing trip to the East End. Ellie was a wonderful tour guide!

Ellie was amazing on this walking tour of Covent Gardens. A friend said we needed ti go there and I like to learn more so booked this tour. Wow, there is so much history there in Seven Dials neighborhood especially. Loved the markets and hidden little spots we would have missed without this tour. Ellie also recommended a great Indian food place, Punjab, and helped us get the right Underground to our next destination.

Excellent interesting tour with a great guide, Ellie. Very thoughtfully and tastefully delivered, in contrast to the dozens of "Ripper" tours around. Well researched and focussing on the daily lives and actual histories of the women victims, as well as on local life during those times. No gratuitous or theatrical details or glorifying of the anonymous killer. Great level of information about Victorian life in London. Challenges a lot of media misconceptions about the Whitechapel murders and more generally of violence against women even today. Ellie gave great recommendations for other local areas and attractions too. Highly recommend!

This is a completely fascinating look at a story we've all heard about, but from an entirely different perspective. I'm grateful to have been given a glimpse into the lives of these women who were victimized by both a predator and a century of public opinion and dehumanizing media attention. Our guide had insights and historical info galore to share, and it was fun to wind along the narrow lanes and old streets of Whitechapel and Spitalfields in a small group, rather than the enormous groups we passed along the way. The tour felt personal and just like we were having a fascinating conversation with an intelligent and interesting friend. Will definitely do another Rebel Tour the next time we're here!

Cecily was a great tour guide, very informative while also keeping it very casual. This tour is the best and only Jack the Ripper tour that anyone should consider, really bringing light to the victims instead of glorifying a serial killer.
