- 541janisb0 contributionsWonderful tour of the Cotswolds and areas from Oxford. This was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken! Trust me, you won’t regret it. So much knowledge and so much information given to each area we went. Fabulous time!Written 3 January 2024
- shoonterk0 contributionsExploring British CountrysideOur hosts Isabel and David were very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the information shared by Isabel during our trip. With a small group of 8 people, the tour was very pleasant.Written 23 December 2023
- 886tamiekab0 contributionsAmazing tour with lovely and knowledgeable tour guidesThis tour was amazing, would recommend it to anyone interested in exploring the Cotswolds from Oxford! Isobel and David were lovely and extremely knowledgeable about the area. They were able to answer any questions the group had and provided plenty of history and commentary about the area along the way. It was great to visit locations that were both tourist hubs and more quiet towns. The small group size made it very enjoyable, and provided the opportunity to stop along the way if anyone wanted extra photos. The tour was well worth the money, we would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a lovely day out!Written 17 December 2023
- Sunshine666751418430 contributionsCotswold Winter ExperienceIsobel and David were such great hosts. I really enjoyed all the stories and Isobel made the Cotswold region come alive for me. Visiting in winter gave Cotswold a magical feel and relatively smaller crowds meant I could experience the peace and beauty of Cotswold. A must try!Written 9 December 2023
- 761malenag0 contributionsBest visit to the Cotswolds! The selection of villages that we visited were carefully curated, with Isobel and David being very knowledgeable and helpful. You don’t feel on a tour at all, as tours don’t get to the spots we got to visit. Strongly suggest this tour to everyone!Written 17 October 2023
- suedavis0 contributionsA Day of Beauty and CharmWe booked this trip well in advance of arriving in Oxford and we were glad we did. It is quite popular. Taking a Cotswold tour out of Oxford rather than London allows you to see way more when doing a day trip. Dave was an excellent driver and Isabelle was an excellent guide - telling us many good stories. We had frequent rest stops, bathroom stops (maybe being a few 20 pence pieces to access some of the bathrooms), and wander around and eat stops. We were picked up close to our accommodations at 9:15 and returned very close to 6PM so it was a full day. But, a great day. We saw enough to make us want to come back and spend more time in this beautiful area of England.Written 9 October 2023
- slB2928BI0 contributionsGreat tour! This tour was everything we wanted it to be. Our guide was professional, pleasant, extremely well-informed and her knowledge of the area and its history was extensive. We enjoyed all the places we stopped (although we would have liked to spend more time at Anne Hathaway’s cottage) and were given ample time to explore or have a bite to eat. Our driver, as well, was very courteous and professional and we felt very safe with him behind the wheel. The van was modern, but we would suggest that the back row seating be reduced from 4 to 3 seats as it is too crowded for 4 average-sized adults.Written 30 September 2023

- FunseekerBothell_WA0 contributionsFabulous trip!So glad we were able to make this 5.5 hour trip through the Cotswolds. It was everything we were looking for and the guides Isabel and David were wonderful. So knowledgeable and enjoyable to have as our guides. I highly recommend this trip!Written 26 September 2023
- 593lynno0 contributionsExceptional, informative tour!We loved this tour! The van was able to take us places that buses could not! . We enjoyed our extended stay in Stratford, and 4 to 5 shorter stays in other towns In Cotswolds!Written 22 September 2023
- Jksteigauf0 contributionsNot to be missed!!!This was an absolute highlight of our trip! The couple that runs this are first rate all the way. So many fascinating tidbits of information, coupled with fabulous, quaint English scenery and sights. The villages that are highlighted are every bit what you'd hope to find in the English countryside and we really enjoyed ourselves. I can't recommend this enough!!!Written 13 September 2023

- Lazydoxie0 contributionsGorgeous day in the CotswoldsFabulous tour, exactly as described. The scenery is stunning and our guide and driver were excellent. I learned a lot about the history of the area and we had adequate time at the stops to explore a little. I recommend bringing a lunch with you so you can maximize your time in the villages.Written 26 August 2023
- Julie D0 contributionsGreat way to see the Cotswolds! The trip was lovely. Our guide was friendly and informative and the driver was fantastic (those narrow country roads are not easy to navigate). The van was the perfect size! We had a fabulous time.Written 25 August 2023

The name of the tour is super-apt as it does give you the best taste of Cotswold in all its quaint & rustic glory. Isobel is the best guide you can get and she elevated the tour with her narration and backstories. I highly recommend this tour for any lover of the English country side.

Two of us spent a half day with Isabel and David touring the Cotswolds. We could not have had a more enjoyable time. Their knowledge of the area is tremendous, their coach/van for winding through the roads and lanes is very comfortable, and the two of them are just tremendous. We will be recommending to all we know and look forward to touring with them again.

We had an amazing day with Cotswold Exploring! We left from Oxford in a comfortable van and spent about 4 hours exploring the lovely countryside. (Total trip time ab out 5 1/2 hours with driving to/from the locations). Isabel and David were amazing tour guides. They provided all of the 'behind the scenes' and historical information about every destination. We got just enough time to explore several beautiful villages and learned a lot about this wonderful area. I can't say enough good thing about our experience with them. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a 'taste' of the Cotswolds if you don't have a whole day or several days to explore. Excellent!!

It was a very nice, informative, interactive and well organised Cotsworld taster tour. Thanks to Isobel and David for organising it so well. Isobel was very knowledgeable and provided very interesting and historical information on the Cotsworld villages and the scenic spots covered in the tour. Also, Isobel provided us with history of Oxford and many Oxford colleges at the start of the tour. Also, really loved how Isobel explained origins of many English phrases which was very interesting and an added bonus!! Both of them took care that social distancing was maintained throughout the tour and that a sanitiser was always available. They are open for booking tours and I would definitely recommend them to book with

This was a great trip, that picked up from an easy location to get to in Oxford. The guide, was wonderful and knowledgeable. It was 5.5 hours but it didn’t feel too long at all. The drive to and through the Cotswolds was adorable. They picked great stops for us to walk around and shop at. They brought to the best places to take pictures, as well for a memorable trip. The driver and guide went above and beyond when my mum asked where she could get a Sunday dinner back in Oxford. They called a bunch of restaurants to check. Would definitely recommend! It is such a charming area!

Isobel and David were fantastic - they're clearly very knowledgeable and were just a joy to spend the afternoon with. Myself and my girlfriend did the half day taster tour, and overall just felt really comfortable travelling around with them, seeing the Cotswold sights. Every stop we made was so quaint and we loved exploring - we're dying to come back and maybe even rent a cottage somewhere the next time we visit. While we didn't manage to stop in Woodstock on account of the bad weather, it didn't feel like we'd missed out on too much - simply because the rest of the tour up until that point had been so comprehensive and we'd had enough time at the other tour stops. By that stage it was near the end of the day and we were almost all tuckered out anyway! I can't recommend this enough, if you're looking for a decent Cotswold tour then look no further!

What a lovely little tour of the Cotswolds - don't be fooled by the "taster" in the name, as this tour feels like a full day in itself. Much of this was thanks to our wonderful tour guides, Isobel and David, who made everyone feel so welcome. We booked this tour as part of a long weekend getaway to Oxford and couldn't have been more delighted to settle into the peace and beauty of the countryside for a day. The scenery alone is enough to set the imagination running, but the historical and cultural tidbits provided by Isobel and David really catapulted this tour to another level. We loved our introductory Cotswolds experience so much that we're planning to return for a longer stay in the future!

The commentary along the way was excellent, and the timing with the drive was quite extraordinary. Isobel and David have a great rhythm going and David is a marvel on those tiny roads. I would highly recommend this tour if you are short on time and have always wanted to see the Cotswolds.

Thoroughly enjoyed trip. Guide was very knowledgeable and had interesting insight into people, places and things. The flow and time spent in various places was just right. I liked that it was a small group and that the shuttle bus (and driver) was able to navigate small narrow roads and took us to hidden places and quaint little towns.

* Very COVID-safe tour!
Isobel and David were excellent. Isobel explained everything very clearly and tailored the tour to us as passengers, allowing us to make an extra stop @ Blenheim palace as we had some spare time. It’s clear they have great knowledge about the area and they pick out the best/popular spots to stop and explore. You only need an afternoon (approx 5hrs) and it’s a pleasant and exciting experience!

You could, but you would not have the benefit of the guide. Also, this tour uses many one lane roads which are not easy to navigate.

HI,
I arrive into Oxford via train at 9:40 on May 19. Would I be able to make this tour.
