    Better than wandering
Beautiful place. The tour had some good info. I should have looked more into what the tour was about. I felt like I was an incoming freshman being told what campus life was like. I thought it would be an overall explanation of the history, people from history who have a attended and a little more about the buildings. Overall it was better than wandering! A few times the tour guide would leave us for a few to go "buy tickets". That felt weird. I figured they'd have plan with the buildings requiring additional tickets where they could take care of that on their own time, not during a paid tour.

Great Experience touring part of Oxford University
We loved hearing about the history of Oxford University from an actual student who attended. Our guide was very informative and answered any questions our group had. My whole group quite enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend. I did this tour with my family and I carried my toddler on my back with a carrier. Considering some of the path you take is cobblestone, it is not a difficult walk, but I would not advise using a stroller if you are bringing a small child. There are sidewalks, but it was just much easier to carry the toddler.

An informative and humorous tour of Oxford
Holly was a fantastic guide. She mixed facts about the history of Oxford with humorous anecdotes about the quirky traditions of the different colleges. Getting to see inside one of the colleges was great and the Divinity School (as seen in Harry Potter) was very interesting. All the entry tickets were included in the price which was an added bonus.

    Oxford Tour
I've had a truly wonderful afternoon and gained a lot of insights from an extremely knowledgable and eloquent guide (I can't recall his name, but he's an Exeter College second year history student). I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

    Valuable experience.
We had Ricardo, a PhD student in history, as our guide. Despite the freezing weather, he went above and beyond to share his extensive knowledge of history, enriched by his personal experiences at university. It was an incredibly valuable experience for my family. Highly recommended!

    A Great Tour!
The Footprint team at the check-in point were extremely helpful. We stowed our luggage and they helped us arrange transport back to London. Our tour led by a recent Oxford graduate was great. Learned so much about the history of the University. She answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. A wonderful experience.

Wonderful way to see University of Oxford
Day trip to Oxford with our kids 16 & 18 to visit the oldest University in the UK. Our guide Savannah was amazing with her knowledge of the history of the uni, info on the various colleges and kept us entertained for the tour. We were also able to see University College to get a sense of what the public spaces looked like (dining hall and chapel). We had a wonderful time and highly recommend the tour!

    Interesting and informative
Interesting and informative. Our guide could have engaged with the group better. She was friendly enough but avoided eye contact and had a habit of peppering every sentence with 'um' which was a little distracting. However it was very well organized and we would recommend.

Great way to learn a lot about Oxford
My daughter and I took the tour together. Our guide, Ollie, was entertaining and knowledgeable. You spend most of the time outside the sights being told about what is inside which is a bit disappointing but overall the tour is a good length and very informative.

A marvellous, two hour turn about Oxford.
Hands down one of the best ways to get to know Oxford! Ollie, our alum guide, was very jovial for a Sunday morning. He was full of information about the history of the colleges and their buildings and had wonderful anecdotes of past alumni characters that really brought the tour to life. I highly suggest this a a must do experience for your visit, well worth the cost.

One of the best yours I've been on
I've been on many free walking tours around the world (including in Oxford one before). This was one of the best! Sometimes the information on tours like this can be a bit basic, but Ricardo was an excellent guide who managed to present lots of detail in a clear, interesting and engaging way over two full hours, We learnt a lot of new things about Oxford. The time went quickly and we really enjoyed the tour!

Liv was our tour guide and she was brilliant, very knowledgeable and great with the younger ones.

Overall I thought it was great but was slightly disappointed that we never got into the library or the divinity school. I understand there was a private event on in the divinity school (understandable). However, we were told that admission into the library wasn’t included in the tour (but it says it is on the website booking info that it is included).

When we went into the dining hall, there were students eating breakfast which felt like we shouldn’t have been there as it felt a bit invasive. Would have been better to go in when they weren’t eating. So overall I did enjoy the tour, saw some brilliant spots and 10 out of 10 for our guide but would rather have gone at a time that worked better to gain access to these areas. Considering we were all paying just under £30 each to view the outside of buildings.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and Liv's guidance. We apologise for the inconvenience regarding the library and Divinity School – we understand how disappointing it can be when parts of the tour aren't as expected. The dining hall situation is also noted, and we appreciate your understanding. We hope you’ll visit again to fully experience those areas at a better time. Thanks again for your review!

Our guide Olivia was great fun! She got the right mix of fun facts about the city with Harry Potter trivia to keep everyone engaged regardless of age. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to see the city's main sights with an interest in literature.

We had a great time on the walking tour! Our group included a 7yr old and a 9yr old as well as 5 adults, and everyone was engaged because there was something for everyone. The tour guide was really knowledgeable and combined a great mix of the history of Oxford alongside Harry Potter filming location information and general Harry Potter trivia. The kids loved the mini-quiz and the house scarves were a fun touch. The pace of the walk was great and there were some interesting factoids about other famous authors (Lewis/Tolkien) and stories from Oxford too. The guide was enthusiastic and the little bits of acting, dramatic storytelling, and in-character comments about muggles kept the kids enthralled. They were also quick to reassure a member of our group wearing a sunflower lanyard that they would accommodate them. As a parent, I would have loved it even more if the tour had finished at the Story Museum! We would recommend the tour to any families with preteen+ children that have loved the Harry Potter films and books.

Our guide was amazingly enthusiastic, like being in a show. Would recommend this trip for young HP fans or die hard potter fans. Some good stories also around other literary people. Got to see 2-3 iconic Harry Potter film locations. (Tour includes access paid for two which you pay locally to see, it was a Saturday and busy so would have been hard to see them as y) Probably not the tour for me as a solo but appreciated the sights and wonderful effort and enthusiasm of our guide who was delightful. Would say tour was slightly rushed through the sites.

Decided to treat my grandson to a 'Harry Potter Walking Tour' in Oxford as a last 'hurrah' before he starts his new school in September. Easy to book and gain our wristbands. Our guide Olivia was lovely - entertaining, knowledgeable and referred to my grandson as Harry - much to his delight! She made everyone feel welcome and included. Her interaction with the group was key. We were captivated by the beautiful architecture, JK Rowling themed quizzes, as well as stories of other famous writers. The familiar film scenery presented with plenty of photo opportunities. 90 minutes went by quickly but we never felt rushed. Gryffindoor won the quiz (of course) and I would urge anyone whether it be your first time in Oxford (or those that live nearby like us) to consider booking a walking tour with this company - you might just learn a thing or two that other muggles might not know! We can't wait to rebook at Christmas! Thank you Olivia!!

Our guide was a wonderful woman who grew up in Oxford and was dedicated to being a true Harry Potter tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area and how it related to Harry Potter. Not to mention she was very funny! We went in the morning, which meant little crowds and easier access to better views. I 100% would recommend this tour to anyone who is a fan of Oxford and any Potterhead!

The tour was quite good, a historical walk through the main buildings from University of Oxford used in Harry Potter movies. Our witch guide was amazing and very well informed. She made the tour very entertaining and exciting, engaging everyone in a fun quiz about Harry Potter. I would definitely recommend this tour, is an opportunity to learn about University history in a fun and enjoyable way.

Extremely fun tour! The tour guy was late due to issues unknown, so someone else sprinted to cover our group’s shift. Our tour guide Tim was extremely funny and just pleasant and nice overall, constantly apologizing for the delay, but he made up for it with his jokes and stories. Perfectly saw all the spots shown in the movies, which is very nice because we didn’t needed to figure all of that out ourselves. But it didn’t only include Harry Potter, Tim also discussed the history of the libraries and some fun facts about famous people from Oxford. I highly recommend this tour.

The only thing I could recommend as improvement is a little more immersion in the Harry Potter world. The supposed quiz was not that elaborate, the tour guide didn’t wear anything related to the Harry Potter world. It would also be so fun for the kids to get trinkets or something like a Hogwarts certificate at the end that they are officially a wizard now for example. It’s a small investment which would really elevate the entire tour.

Our tour guide, Nancy, was quite talented and knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our Harry Potter tour. I specifically liked her ability to project her voice so that all 19 of us could hear her. She also told us where we were, and were not, allowed to take photos, which was helpful.
