About
With a small and personal group, visit three of England’s most famous locations in a single day. Join us on a journey through the heart of the English countryside, to the unblemished rolling green hills of the famous Cotswolds. Piercing the morning fog, to exploring the traditional farmland; our small vehicle is able to visit locations others simple are not. Be transported back to a simpler time, of quaint villages, thatched cottages and medieval churches. Our guide will expertly uncover the history and beauty of this area that has attracted global attention. Of course, we incorporate some time to visit rural shops to sample their natural and rare products, along with a traditional historic pub for lunch. You can either eat the locally sourced produce at this pub, or take in the idyllic views with your own pack lunch (not included).

We had a pleasant day out and the vehicle was comfortable but it wasn't what we expected. We thought we were going to get some history of the Cotswolds, information on what kind of people live there now and perhaps some Shakespeare history in Stratford but it was more like simply having a taxi driver take us to the various villages.
Examples of the rather vague comments made by our guide:
"Well that house there looks old ... probably medieval"
"This is a beautiful spot" (This Captain Obvious kind of statement was made many times - , we could all work out for ourselves that the village was beautiful but had hoped for something rather more specific)
"I expect some famous people live in this village" (we wondered who....)
"Lots of films and TV series are filmed in the Cotswolds" (which ones? Who knows? The Guide tried to google it on his phone but didn't come up with anything)
On the other hand, we did get a lot of information about the guide's personal life, none of which was very relevant to the tour...
We didn't go to Stow-on-the-Wold or Burton-on-the-water as the guide thought they were too full of tourists. We went to some other villages which were very pleasant and definitely nice and quiet. We didn't have the pub lunch we expected either but the lunch in a nice tea room was fine. It didn't bother us, but the website specifically mentions these places so it could have been disappointing for someone who had their heart set on visiting those two villages and eating a pub lunch. It would be better to advertise the tour without specifically mentioning the names of the villages.
So overall, not a bad day out, but I think it would have been better to have some specific information on the places we visited rather than vague observations.
