Bath walking tour, followed by morning pick up to Stonehenge, and Salisbury.
Daniel Hancock was a terrific tour guide! He was open to any changes we needed to make and was very easy to speak with. Daniel has a wonderful style of presenting a lot of info and history in a very entertaining and approachable manner. There were five of us friends , and we all agreed that we would highly recommend Daniel.

One of the best tours ever!
We took a tour with Dan and it was wonderful! He's very knowledgeable, friendly and witty. We learned so much - everything from British history to how to locate fire hydrants. The towns were beautiful as well. We were a little apprehensive about the tea visit since my husband doesn't care for tea and I've never thought dry, cold scones were worth eating. Were we ever wrong! The visit with Karen (Fosse Farmhouse BnB) was something we couldn't have expected. What a charming woman. And her homemade jam and scones were soft, moist and obviously very fresh. Would definitely recommend!

          Excellent and highly entertaining
Daniel Hancock led us on an afternoon tour of Bath followed the next morning with a sunrise Spring Equinox visit to Stonehenge (a high point of our trip! ). Dan"s amazing knowledge and humorous anecdotes kept us entertained while imparting an amazing wealth of knowledge both historical and current affairs. i cannot wait to return and book him for more adventures in Bath and the west country.

          Phenomenal!
Daniel,owner/operator, of Bath Insider tours provided knowledge of the area with a sense of humor. His easy personality combined with his skills are a terrfic combination! We had fun while we enjoyed learning about Bath and the surrounding area. We were also privileged to be able to enter the inner circle of Stonehenge, due to the Spring Equinox. This was a powerful and moving experience. Dan is a definite if you are looking for a tour guide who provides a 5 plus service!

Don't hesitate to use Dan on your next trip!!
Dan was a fantastic guide for us. We spent 3 days on private tour with Dan. He met us outside of London and took us to Bath. In Bath, he took us on a Bath half day tour which we learned so much about the city. He told fun stories (a great story teller) and kept both of our teens entertained without information overload. Plus, the adults enjoyed his company and learned a lot from him too. On the final day, we did the South Cotswolds Tour for a full day. He drove us to many pretty villages and gave us the country feel we were looking for. He took us to villages that not every tourist gets to see and brought along audiovisuals to relate the scenery to other places, movies and songs. He even on the last day drove our kids to 2 shops right before closing time so they could buy one last souvenir. As an example of the extra mile Dan is willing to go, we were touring a property outside in London on the day we were supposed to meet up with Dan. I realized mid-tour, I had left all of our passports back in the room in London after we had checked out. Dan took a detour on his way to pick us up and had our passports in hand. AMAZING. Crisis averted. He did it with a smile. Thanks, Dan, for 3 great days. I hope our paths cross again!!

          Excellent guide and driver
Five friends had a wonderful and informative afternoon tour of Bath beginning with an incredible view of the city. Daniel is informative and has a wonderful sense of humor. Our walking tour was full of insights and knowledge of a native born. Spring Equinox at Stonehenge followed by Salisbury Cathedral was a perfect day.

          Best tour ever!!
I have been on a lot of tours but Daniel was the best. We had him for the entire day with a walking tour of Bath and then onto Stonehenge. Daniel was so knowledgable and prepared with pictures and videos. It rained for most of the walking tour but he had umbrellas. His stories of his travels was great!! Very personable and fun to spend the day with. He is very flexiable with your time if you need to adjust. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS BOOKING WITH HIM!!

          Great Tour, Even Better Guide!!
My wife and I enjoyed our tour to the Cotswolds, specifically Lacock and Castle Combe with our guide Daniel. The drive through the English countryside to visit each of the villages was exactly what we had hoped for in our adventure. The quaint villages were peaceful and quiet without too many people. The buildings were picturesque as were the cobblestone pathways and churches. Daniel was a fantastic host on our tour and is really what made the time spent on our adventure as great as it was. He was punctual on our pickup, delightful in conversation, and witty to share a story. The pace was perfect to share a small story between stops, loads of information on each of the locations and in between. Thank you Daniel for our wonderful adventure!

          Lovely!
Everything was amazing! Daniel was waiting for us on time. His car is very confortable for 6 people. We were traveling in family, with a couple of elderly people, and Daniel had patience to wait their pace. Also, he gave us interesting information about this huge heritage site. And, the most important: he is a very friendly person! Thanks a lot!

Thank you Daniel for a wonderful experience!
When you plan for a trip, you are always taking a chance on the experience you may end up. With that being said, I want to extend a big “THANK YOU” to Daniel for a wonderful family trip. The trip was everything that was advertised. I want to go into the “finer” details of what made this trip special. Daniel responded timely to my numerous repetitive inquiries over the span of a year of planning. Right before the trip, I tore my Achilles, so the trip had to be tailored slightly to include my wheelchair and handicap. Daniel took it upon himself to make the necessary adjustments (organize his car to fit 3 large pieces of luggage and a wheelchair, and arranged for a bigger and more accessible room at the wonderful boutique guest house). He relates facts as interesting stories that my two children, age 19 and 17, were totally engaged throughout the whole 2-day trip. You KNOW your kids had a wonderful time when upon arriving at home, my son immediately hopped on his 3D printer and printed out a miniature Stonehenge. My recommendation to future travelers, let Daniel guide you through the trip, take his recommendations, timing, accommodation, restaurants, etc. You will not regret it!

Private tour of Wells and Stonehenge
A highlight of my visit to the UK. Daniel is knowledgeable, personable, and worked to make an itinerary which satisfied my desires. We did a custom Wells/Stonehenge tour with lunch in Nunney. He is well traveled and interested in other cultures but clearly loves his home country/territory. Would definitely recommend!

A Sensational Bridgerton Tour!!!! Would book again!!!!
Daniel was an amazing tour guide. He was very attentive and easy to talk to and with. He made the whole group feel at ease and spoke with all of the group members personally when walking to the next location. His extra touch with the film clips and photos made it even more special. Even those who hadn't watched Bridgerton enjoyed themselves (and some went home to watch it straight away) as Daniel shared historical info too.

My parents and I spent an enjoyable 3 hours touring Bath with Daniel. Mum particularly enjoyed the personal touch, like touring Bath with a friend who knew more about it than you. We enjoyed the nice easy pace, with plenty of time to take in all the main sights of Bath (including a drive up to an excellent viewing spot of the city from up high). Daniel was knowledgeable, personable, and punctual. Would recommend, especially to people who aren't keen on big group tours!

I thoroughly enjoyed the private walking tour with Daniel, who showed me that Bath is the Roman bathing complex and so much more! I loved strolling through the historic streets with Daniel (born and raised in Bath), and learning the history of the town with each new turn. I enjoyed that he shared some details of his personal connection with the city, and that he was also careful to hit on my personal interests in the city. Following our tour, he took the time to email a list of suggestions on how to spend my next couple of days in Bath, including links to museum websites that he thought I might enjoy. I was so touched at the time he took to ensure that my experience in Bath was all I was hoping for. Highly recommend a Bath city tour with Daniel!

We used Daniel Hancock for three days, while lodging in Bath. He is an exceptional guide (and driver with a wonderful vehicle for viewing) and we wish that we had a fourth day with him. We highly recommend staying in Bath for five nights and taking 4 days, if you have the time, to see Bath and what's around the area. What separates Daniel from other guides, and yes there are good guides if you search hard enough, is his in depth knowledge of the subject at hand. He would be great for people who have lots of energy, but also for seniors like us, whose attention span is a little limited, as well as the ability to get around, and not get tired more easily. We booked this trip to England after the frustration of not being able to get where we initially wanted to go due to Covid roadblocks, but in the end have decided that this was our best overseas trip to Europe in our lifetime, so far. You won't be sorry if you home base in Bath, or nearby, and see this part of England. It is spectacular.

Thank you for this fantastic review Lynn, I am truly touched and honoured that this was your best overseas trip in Europe. Bath is a wonderful place to stay and as you rightly highlight there are lots of great things to see and do in the area - if visitors have the time then staying a number of nights in Bath is highly recommended. I was delighted you had the time for me to show you a number of these great sights. I wish you both many more wonderful trips and experiences together, Daniel.

A very enjoyable and well-paced tour indeed. It was our first time joining a private tour and we thought it would be intimidating with just the 2 of us and a guide. However, Daniel was very personable and we felt at ease with him. He was a very informative guide, covering historical aspects of the major landmarks of the city, peppering them with entertaining or humorous stories behind some landmarks. We loved that he picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the hilltop vantage point to view the whole city - magnificent view! He also had photos and videos on his iPad to illustrate or add to his information. He made sure to ask where we wanted to be at the end of the tour and tailored the route to make that happen. We got to taste the local crackers and cheese plus local chocolates - nice touch! Along the way, he also pointed out great restaurants for us to consider for our dinner and for breakfast the next day. We highly recommend doing this tour or any of Daniel's other tours.

Daniel took us on a lovely tour through Bath. It was incredibly thoughtfully structured with a lot of interesting and entertaining details about the city and it’s history as well as it’s many great daughters and sons. From the Romans to Jane Austin and from Franz Lizt to Peter Gabriel with Audio samples in between. This tour has something for everyone, be they foodies, historically interested or architectural fans. Daniel showed us the best cafe and fudge store and most importantly kept us interested with his great sense of British humour. With his broad knowledge he could answer almost any question of my inquisitive 11 year old son. My son summed it all up at the end: Wow, that was the greatest city tour I ever had! And he has already had quite a few.

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic 2 hour private tour of Bath City with Daniel. From the moment we met he was warm and engaging, not only imparting his encyclopaedic knowledge of Bath and its history, but also curious to get to know us better and make us feel really welcome ‘in his city’. We were lucky enough to have chosen the day of the Jane Austin parade, a ;live accompaniment’ to the history he imparted! By the time our 2 hours were up it felt more like 4 hours, we talked all the way! He also made some excellent recommendations for places to eat Lunch and Breakfast - Thanks for a wonderful time Daniel!

From initially booking on-line he was immediately in touch to arrange a convenient meeting point and advise on pre-booking any activities/spas etc. He even came with treats inc cheese/crackers and chocolate...lovely touch.
We spent 3 hours walking around the city of bath, welcome coffee stop in the middle and saw many sites/points of interest and learnt where some expressions originated!
We really felt we got an informative tour with Daniel, who had photos and videos of interest, and really helped us to love Bath in such a short time. We would highly recommend him for a tour.

Thank you for this lovely review and recommendation Lesley. It was a real delight showing you and Andy around my home city. You watched a rare win at the Rec this season so you will both have to come back and watch more games - you may be the lucky charm that the Bath rugby team needs! Wishing you both many more great experiences and travels, Daniel.

Have just come home from a weekend in Bath to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary, we did not want to rush home so we decided to book the Bridgerton Tour with Bath Insider Tours. We were met by Daniel promptly at the arranged time and after a quick chat we were off, a very pleasant 2 hour tour around the city showing us all the hot spots of where the filming was, any gossip and to top it all, Dan put on a little quiz for us, lots of fun and the competitive side in us both came out! My wife won (of course). We're not super fans by any stretch but I think he could pitch to to any level and all done at our own pace.
The weather was mixed and Dan even had spare umbrellas for us if needed.
Dans Knowledge of the city and the tour he was giving us was second to none, no questions flummoxed him and the little things, including Dan's great sense of humour, made it far superior to any run of the mill tour.
