On a city break to what turned out to be a very wet and windy Newcastle, this tour was interesting, entertaining and so informative it brightened the day. Our guide exuded his passion for history and we learned so much about the city and were shown things we would otherwise have missed. Everything was covered from the Romans to the development and use of many modern buildings with stories attached. This tour is highly recommended even on a rainy day!

Wes was informative, humorous and well-organised. We enjoyed a full two hour tour which incorporated the city's history and its many contrasts and historic figures.

When we'd finished our tour Wes recommended visiting the castle, which we did. Amazing views from the castle battlements of the city and bridges. Well worth a visit but note there are 99 steps to the top.

I booked this tour as part of a two day trip to Newcastle. The tour was well worth it. Wes was an excellent tour guide and was very entertaining and approachable. Having been to Newcastle a number of times it was great to learn new things about the history of this vibrant city. Really complimented the trip.

My wife and me booked this tour with Wes and were very pleased that we did. The two hours flew by - Wes clearly knows an incredible amount about Newcastle and his enthusiasm and passion for his city really shone through. We thought we knew a bit about the town and it’s history but learnt so much more. No turgid history lessons- just fascinating information and amusing snippets of stuff you don’t get from history books. We would highly recommend to visitors and to locals who will learn so much about their home town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my walking tour with Wes. I was visiting a friend who lived in the suburbs of Newcastle and looked for a tour that would give me an overview of the city's history. It turned out I was the only one on that morning's tour so I had a private walk. Wes didn't put any less effort into speaking to only one person. He seems passionate about history and the tour was really interesting and well-organized. I'd highly recommend walking with Wes!

My wife and I took the walking tour with Wes which we found really interesting and saw places we wouldn’t normally have visited on a visit to Newcastle. Wes was very knowledgable and enthusiastic and the 2 hour tour flew by. Would recommend for anyone wanting to know something about the city

We booked a two hour guided tour as we were only in Newcastle for a couple of nights and wanted to get an insight to the City. We were not disappointed, Wes was our guide and it was his first tour back following lockdown. His knowledge and enthusiasm for his city was obvious and we learnt a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed our two hours in his company. Highly recommended the tour if you are ever in Newcastle.
