    A wonderful concert.
We enjoyed a wonderful concert featuring the Buxtenhude Youth Symphony Orchestra from Hamburg. They are a very talented orchestra and the venue at St Godric’s Church , Durham was perfect. High recommended

    Durham: Myths and Legends
My husband and I did the tour of Durham: Myths and Legends. Despite horrendous rainy weather we both loved the tour. Our guide Fran, was knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.

    Fantastic!
My partner and I really enjoyed being tourists in our own city. Josh, our guide, was incredibly punny which I LOVE so, thank you Josh! He was very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic. We did the tour on Friday and by writing this 2 days later I can confidently say I have told everyone I know about this tour and how good it is. Being local I did know some of the stories but it was so great hearing someone else talk about them! Time absolutely flew over and I was smiling the whole time. What I will say about the tour is that, wear comfortable shoes and if your knees aren't great take your time going down on the stairs towards the end - there's a LOT of them.

    Great walk great information
Very good. Josh was funny and very knowledgeable. As a person of impaired hearing he was very mindful of that. Time flew in and went over which we or Josh didn’t mind. Thanks Josh.

    Fantastic tour!
I had such a fantastic True Crime tour with Fran. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun and really brought the stories to life. The tour gave me a really good sense of what shaped the city and I loved seeing the hidden corners that I would never have found myself. Highly recommend!

    Enjoyable
Very enjoyable and interesting. It gave us an interesting slant on the I'll goings on in Newcastle. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and informative. I do think that in busy areas a small microphone may of helped as bits of stories sometimes missed due to passers by or traffic.

We were a family of 3 with one having limited mobility. We went on a private tour to Bamburgh Castle and Linisfarne in a taxi. Everything was very well organised and every allowance made for one of our party having difficulty walking far. Both driver and guide, Katy Maddison, were very helpful and made for a very enjoyable day.

True crime of Newcastle! Soooo interesting!
We had an amazing guide, Anna. So knowledgeable and really nice throughout the tour. Adapted the route for my crutches no problem. It was so interesting to hear the stories of true crimes in Newcastle and Anna gave us tips of how to find more information. (I'm gonna read that book). Now need to cross reference my family tree to see if I'm related to a serial killer. Thank you Anna we had an amazing time!

    Amazing Tour!
Terrific tour. Went to 4 classic Newcastle pubs- each unique and interesting. Visiting Strawberry Pub was definitely a highlight given its connection to the football team. Katy was an amazing guide who was not only friendly and engaging, but extremely knowledgeable about historical/cultural aspects of Newcastle. Definitely more than just a pub crawl- highly recommended!

    Alnwick Castle Tour
An absolutely delightful journey to Alnwick Castle. Our cruise ship docked at Newcastle and our tour guide was there waiting on as we left the ship. Anna was incredibly knowledgeable. She brought so much local knowledge to our tour. Highly recommend Anna! Newcastle Tour Company was excellent to book with and were prompt with their communication with me. Great experience!

It was a great way to learn a bit about the history and culture of Newcastle, whilst having a more than amble lunch. Anna was a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide.

Great custom tour. Expertise and hustle.
I always look to a local travel agency to book tours rather than US tour travel companies that rarely have a clue...and want to cram you into pre-packaged group arrangements. Shout out to Anna who listened to what I wanted and pulled it all together! Travelled up from London on the train and was met at the station for a great 4 hour personal tour of Hadrian's wall with Michael Young where we talked Roman history and had a good natured argument about American and British politics. On the train ride I discoved I forgot my driver's license so that car rental plan went out the window. She scrambled and found me a driver to get me to Bamburgh castle, and then the following day to the Holy Island. She met me there for an entertaining 3 hour walking tour. Turns out it was June 6th the very day the Vikings raided the monostery 1231 years ago. I can't say she arranaged that, but I giving her credit anyway 5+ stars Scott K

Custom tour for 12 from Newcastle on Tyne
The custom tour for 12 from the cruise port in Newcastle to Lindisfarne and along the coast was fantastic. Anna, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the area and was one of the best guides I have ever experienced in my many years of travel. The van was first class and the driver, Andrew, was excellent. Communication when booking was excellent. I highly recommend this tour company based on my experience with them

Our party of 4 visiting Newcastle for the Jubilee weekend in June took the walk to learn about the city and its sights. We were not disappointed. Our guide, Susan, was friendly, informative and paced the walk just right. History and sights were described without overburdened detail. Newcastle has plenty of history and landmarks; this was a great way to experience them. At 1½ hours stating in the heart of the city and sensibly working our way downhill throughout to finish at the Quayside area it was perfect. Highly recommended.

I had a really nice time getting to know Newcastle with knowledge from a local person! It was really informative and fun to hear the history and stories of Newcastle and how and why it looks like it does today. I very much enjoyed seeing areas of the city I would not have seen without a guide and hearing about the changes to Newcastle over time and about the border wars with Scotland. Well worth the money!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on the Newcastle Walking Tour. Our tour guide, Sue, was well organized, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the city. We met the tour group (two other couples) and Sue on Beswick Street, across from the train station. Sue gave us some preliminary background information before setting off on a walk around Newcastle. We saw many interesting places that we would not have discovered on our own, and we learned a lot about the history of the city. I would highly recommend this tour - it offered an excellent introduction to the city.

Amanda (I think it was her name) was amazing. I came to Newcastle from Chile as a solo traveler and this tour was absolutely brilliant in terms of culture, know more about the city and it’s origins and so about the daily geordies activities. If you don’t know much about the city and their highlights, I trurly recommend this tour as part of your visit.

Had a very interesting and informative tour with Fran.
Initially the tour was delayed due to the terrible weather conditions but Fran’s great communication made everyone aware of this delay.
I had another event on at 1:30pm which Fran was kind enough to slightly alter the route the opposite way around to ensure I still made it on time.

The tour was very interesting with a lot of cool stories about local residents and famous Geordies over the years.
Definitely recommend to anyone visiting for the day!
Thanks Fran :)

Josh was an amazing guide! He was so easy to listen to, and answered all questions we came up with. He was friendly, fun, and has amazing knowledge! From all of the city tours that we joined so far, this one was by far the best! Not a single moment of drifting off with our thoughts, as he managed to keep us constantly entertained and interest in places and their stories. Poor future guides of ours - Josh made their job very difficult now.

We really enjoyed our walking tour and learned so much about the lovely city of Newcastle from our guide Kathryn. It gave us our bearings and wished we had more time to re-visit some of the places she showed us. It's a "must do" on your first visit to Newcastle!

A very interesting tour by our friendly, knowledgeable guide.
We had difficulty finding the start point of the tour due to the vague instructions and there was no response on the given help phone number. Hence 3 stars rather than 5.

Dear Jane Thank you for taking the time to review our tour. I will pass on your feedback to Frances, the tour guide! With regards to the instructions given, we acknowledge this and are working to improve this as we speak. We are in the process of moving the meeting point and not all our tour partners / agents had the correct information. This has now been rectified. Thank you for flagging this to us, too. I must apologise for the frustration and confusion on the day. I would also like to apologise for the missed call on our end. We normally call back within minutes if we miss a call and I will check with the office why this did not happen. We are working on improving all aspects of our tours constantly and value your feedback. We hope to welcome you back on one of our tours in the future. Best regards Alex
