Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Martin’s tour was really good. He’s a knowledgable guide full of interesting local facts.
We would have liked a decent stop of 15/20 minutes for a coffee where Martin could have still carried on giving us a guide of the stopping point as three hours is quite tiring.

This was a great tour of Newcastle. I was staggered at the amount of history, science, social history and life in Newcastle that Martin managed to share with us in our three hours. obviously, you walk a fairway in three hours, but Martin paced it well and held our interest with an appropriate coffee stop and checking our needs as we progressed around the city. I would recommend it to you.

Martin conveyed an incredible amount of information during our tour, but did it in such a pleasant and easy manner that it was easy to retain everything. The entire tour felt like it was moving swiftly, because we were always going from one interesting place to another. In addition, Martin was very accommodating and helpful. This was one of my favorite tours ever.

WOW! Martin is the BEST! He was my tour guide and what a wealth of information he shared on our tour. It's one thing to have a command of historic events and key destinations, but it's quite a gift when one can bring history to life! Martin has the gift! The pace of the tour was quite leisurely with lots of time for questions and discussion. I especially liked the "side stories and lore" of key people. If you're visiting Newcastle, I highly recommend taking this tour at your first opportunity. It has made the rest of our stay so much more meaningful!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of Newcastle with Martin. We learned a great deal about the history of Newcastle and visited places that we were not aware were there! Martin was very knowledgeable and friendly. I did worry that 3 hours may have been a little too long but the time absolutely flew by and in actual fact there was not a massive amount of walking because everything in Newcastle is quite compact and the places of interest are pretty close together. I would highly recommend this tour.

Martin was an excellent guide, who was so knowledgable and took things at our pace and was more than happy to answer all our questions. We didn’t feel rushed at all. There was just the two of us and we felt so privileged to have him as our personal guide for the afternoon. He was very impressive in the amount that he shared. Highly recommended.

I had a great tour with Martin trough Newcastle. Lucky to be in a small group of only 3 people, plus Martin as a guide. His knowledge of the city, the historical facts was excellent; a tsunami of information. Whatever you want to know about Newcastle, it will definitely in there. Very nice walk, with a likewise nice person. Thank you Martin.

I came up to Newcastle for a couple of days break and thought it’d be good to learn more about the city. I was the only person on the tour, but it was very interesting, Martin definitely knows his stuff.
