    Fantastic!
Absolute fantastic experience. Highly recommend. Would definitely advise getting a taxi with the amount of drinks you’re given. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Brilliant day out!

    Really good experience
We attended the Judith’s School of Spirts in the middle of Stratford. It initially looks like a shop however you go upstairs and attend the 3 hour class. I had a voucher for my birthday for the rum school and me and my sister paid for my mum and dad to also join it is £125 for 2 people which we all felt was well worth the money. They also have a gin distilling experience. You get arrival drinks which are lovely and are told about the history of the business and the building and what they’re doing now. You then start distilling your own rum with chosen ingredients and the help of the staff. You also get another complimentary drink at the end of the session, as well as some tasters consisting of approx x3 shots of rums they produce and sell which were also lovely. You can also pay for drinks throughout which are reasonably priced. All of the staff really got on well and worked really well together. They were really friendly and happy to talk with the group. Really good experience and my rum is lovely!

Will never tire, its such a great day....
This is my second visit & I still bloody LOVE the concept & fun of the entire Gin School experience. I have been to various Distilleries - I love GIN!, this is definitely one of a kind however. I came, this time with a US Family Friend, who couldn't believe how good it was...so much so, he has already purchased a Porcia style still to create something great in Texas, AL....

    Really enjoyable 3 hours!
My husband and I went to Judith's Rum School and we really enjoyed it! It was informative but nice & relaxed. The staff where fun and attentive. We had a few drinks included and distilled our own flavoured rum to take home too. Definitely worth a visit if you like a tipple of rum! .... Remember to leave the car at home :-)

    Fun and informative afternoon
What a brilliant time we had at Shakespeare Distillery's Gin school experience. Whilst learning about the gin process, the hands on approach in making our own gin (under careful but not intrusive support) was such good fun. The liquid refreshments (gin) and sampling of the wonderful Shakespeare gin selection was very lovely. The Shakespeare team are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming and made the afternoon very special. I would thoroughly recommend this for any gin lover.

An interesting and thoroughly enjoyable day.
I did the Gin School at 3.00pm on Saturday 23rd November. Which was a present from my friends for a milestone birthday. I would recommend this experience to everyone. Very good value for money but more importantly I was made to feel welcome and the size of the venue made it feel more intimate. I really enjoyed concocting my own Gin and the personalised labels are a nice touch. All of the staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. What a fantastic experience. Thank you.

A gem of a find in Stratford upon Avon!
The staff Catherine and Sam were very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us a great tour and explained aspects of the process which we didn't know about. The Gin tasting was fantastic too. A lovely environment and a good price for the whole experience. Thank you!

Great way to spend a Friday morning!
Good value for money, if I was being picky the tasting measures could have been more generous. Interesting tour and clearly very much a family business. There’s an element of their rum business too which is interesting.

    Gin making experience
Fab afternoon making our own gin. We have done the tour and tasting previously which was also enjoyable. This one is very informative. We were glad we had assistance in deciding what flavours to use and can’t wait to taste the result when it is ready. I’m glad I wasn’t driving this time as we had plenty of examples to drink whilst waiting. Would certainly recommend.

Friends treated my partner and I to a distillery tour for Christmas and we booked this easily in the January for an April date and made a weekend of it, staying in Stratford Upon Avon itself.

We arrived a little early for our tour, but Sam greeted us warmly and we relaxed over a couple of G&Ts and snacks in the cafe whilst everyone assembled. Sam kindly gave us recommendations for restaurants and bars in town which were very helpful and demonstrated the care and attention evident in this distillery.

The tour itself was great and all three presenters were excellent and very knowledgeable. The equipment in the distillery was impressive, as was the choice of bottle design and brand identity overall. It was particularly interesting to hear about their journey in producing rum too, especially as they seem to have maximised the lockdown periods to embark on a new venture.

The gin tasting was excellent and I particularly liked their Stratford Dry (which we had already loved in the bar right at the start!). It was great to see the mixers offered to compliment each gin and my partner sampled the rum too. We were impressed and in a very happy mood as the tour concluded, just over the stated 90 minutes.

At the end, we maximised the discount offered in the shop and took home 3 bottles of spirits, some taster glasses and a lovely toat bag to carry it all in!

Very happy to recommend this experience and praise the team at Shakespeare Distillery. Well done and keep up your hard work!

This is an outstanding experience which me and my partner really enjoyed. If you are interested in the history and making of gin, plus enjoy drinking it, you will love this tour.

There is an engaging and entertaining presentation about the history of gin (more interesting than it sounds!), followed by a tour and explanation of how they make their gin (and rum) and then you get to see in the bottling room. Finally there are tastings, the best but obviously! You get to try 3 gins plus enjoy a full drink with mixer.

The setting is wonderful in the countryside! Although you will need a taxi to get there. The building and interior is really nice and welcoming too, modern and a cool vibe. We arrived a bit early, but there is a very reasonably priced and comfortable cafe onsite which was a nice way for us to start our experience.

This is a family run business, and the staff are superb. They are very friendly, knowledgable and passionate about what they do. There’s an opportunity to chat to them at the end if you want to know more, or want some drinking recommendations!

I did this experience as a birthday celebration and cannot recommend it enough!

Rum School at Judith's.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon at the rum school. Everything was top draw. The information given was top class. So many opportunities to drink and the amount of alcohol given was well worth the ticket price. So good to see the guys are so passionate about what they do and their knowledge was 1st class.
Wouldn't orally recommend (don't drive though)

Received this as a gift, and it was the best experience! We were thoroughly entertained and educated about gin, got to taste LOTS (amazing to be greeted with a huge G&T waiting for you), and thoroughly enjoyed making our own gin. You are given plenty of advice on what to add depending on what you like, while enjoying a gin cocktail, and then another G&T of your choice, and then gin tastings! We hadn't realised we'd be drinking quite so much, so definitely recommend booking a taxi (we had to leave our car overnight). Hearing how the distillery started, and their passion as a small, almost entirely, family business, is inspiring. But overall this was just so much fun. Looking forward to buying some vouchers for friends.

We enjoyed a relaxing drink prior to starting the tour with an entertaining and enthusiastic presentation about gin in general. The specifics of SD gave a a good insight into the process and more general gin knowledge before stepping through to the bottling section and an introduction to the mechanics of bottling and labelling.
Our tasting session was very good with the chance to sample 3 spirits be they just gin or a rum too. This was neat and with mixer with the total amount being equivalent to a 25ml measure. This could be followed by gin/rum with mixer or, for drivers, a 50ml bottle to take home.
All 3 presenters were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable for an entertaining 1.5 hours. Good value!

Our tour guides were passionate about the distillery they have built and this showed at every stage of the day. While we enjoyed our first free G&T (a glass of the lovely London Dry of the Shakespeare Distillery), we received a welcome talk which gave an interesting mini-history on the evolution of gin. After this we were shown the distillers and briefed on how we were going to be making our gin.

We were then guided to the room where we would be making our own creations and given a very refreshing Tom Collins. The instructions were clear and there were plenty of experienced staff on hand to give us a steer in the right direction. Making our gin using the mini distilling kits was exciting and we were even able to name our creations, label them and seal them up afterwards. The end product was fab! We had plenty of tasters of the gins they had on offer (including one tasty rum too) while we were waiting for our gin to finish distilling.

The set up was well thought out and the experience thoroughly enjoyable. A fantastic afternoon all in all and I'd seriously consider returning with someone new/to make a new creation.

A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour. Sam was more than happy to share his in depth knowledge of the distilling process and he handled all of the questions put to him with an ease and confidence that comes from really knowing your trade.
A big shout out must also go to Jack who looks after the bottling and labelling activities - no spoilers but that man really earns his pay!

Yes we purchased some of the products before we left but there was no sense whatsoever of a hard sell.

Lastly, and of particular note, when one of the staff overheard that we had been quoted a 2 hour wait for a taxi to collect us (there was no way we were driving after all that gin tasting!) he offered to drop us back to our hotel on his way to the cash and carry - excellent customer service, going above and beyond.

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the tour... go on do it, we are sure you will also love it!

It was booked for some of the girls at the start of the weekend. It was perfect timing and fun way to do. The venue was just outside the town but easy to find with plenty of car parking space. The tour was reasonable and we booked an BSL interpreter ourselves so that we could follow the talk. we found the talk was bit fast for our liking but the Gin School was the best part where you tasted difference gin and ended up with a free glass of gin you can choose from. There is a shop on way out where you can buy a bottle with 10% discount at the time. Both guides were knowledgeable.

Most informative, interesting tour. Fascinated by the history lesson and process. The family (included ‘adopted son’) are so passionate about what they do and so lovely. Really worth a visit, I would highly recommend (even if you’re not a gin lover, it may just change your mind).
