      Superb Experience
I have previously flown some of the Airliner sims here and as ever the staff were welcoming and professional. This time I was bought the P51 Mustang experience for my birthday and had a great time. I was very impressed with the realism of the sim and with Andrew, who is a very good instructor. I would recommend FSM to anyone for a great day out.

Amazing experience - felt like we’d been on a plane!
I bought the 747 experience for my husband as a Christmas present and it was amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The training video was interesting and informative and really showed how complicated some of the mechanics of flying were. We then moved into the simulator with Captain Phil. Phil was very friendly, helpful and informative. He answered all our questions and made the experience unforgettable. My husband felt like he had flown a plane and loved the experience. We loved the experience so much, we booked it again before we left for the family as we wanted them to experience it.

      Highly recommended
My family bought me a session in the Boeing 747 simulator for my birthday so one cold January morning we turned up at Flight Simulators Midlands office at Coventry Airport. After a warm welcome and with an equally warm coffee, we spent 45 mins watching an introductory presentation on the 747 and its controls- slightly complex but not essential for what was to follow. My instructor for the visit- Captain Sarah Jarvis, was brilliant and gently helped me understand the basics and looked after those ancillary controls leaving me free to try and keep the aircraft where it should be which included me successfully handling take offs and landings. In the 90 minutes in the simulator, we managed three flights- Innsbruch to Saltzberg, JFK New York to LaGuardia (including successfully flying under Verrazzano bridge) and then a short trip taking off and landing from Blackpool Airport. In summary the visit was fantastic, Captain Sarah was excellent and the simulated outside world presentation was so realistic you really felt you were there. Highly recommended.

      Fabulous experience
I had a fabulous time. There’s a 30 minute briefing to give you a background in flight controls. Then it was into the P-51 American fighter under the expert eye of Andy, who was amazing throughout. When you sit on the cockpit it genuinely feels so real. Andy took me through everything from starting the engine , to taxiing and then take off. Andy’s knowledge is incredible and he has a brilliant teaching style. I then shot some German bombers and even a fighter. Definitely upgrade to the extra half hour, it’s well worth it. I can’t recommend this highly enough. This was a 50th birthday present and it’s such a good idea for a gift 5 stars from me !

      Beyond awesome!
It's a week since my visit to FSM and am still buzzing with excitement! I 'flew' on the 747 simulator under the instruction of Captain Sarah. Despite my best effort to retain as much information as possible from the pre-flight briefing video, once I found myself sitting in the cockpit and the 'flights' started, sheer thrills and delight overwhelmed my brain which then decided to hit the eject button to jettison all those 'non-essential' technical details lol!!!! Thankfully Captain Sarah was on hand to issue gentle reminders, monitor the instruments, make many totally crucial interventions, while simultaneously answering all my curiosity questions! The 1.5-hour experience was unbelievably awesome, topped off with a landing at Kai Tak. As a kid, I watched many a flight taking off and landing there. I remember each time landing there as a passenger, I felt as though I could reach out of the window and touch the top of buildings. The simulated landing reminded me just how crazy the approach was! I am in no doubt that it was completely thanks to Captain Sarah's timely adjustments to the flight controls which enabled a successful landing :) I can't say thank you enough to Captain Sarah and to all the friendly staff at FSM. Am already looking forward to my next visit!

Awesome! Surprise gift for my partner, really enjoyed expert tuition from instructor Sarah. Have booked another!
Excellent experience, would strongly recommend for both novices and experienced pilots. Sarah was calm, patient and knowledgeable, explained everything at a pace/manner entirely appropriate to the ‘student’. Thank you so much for making a special birthday perfect!

What you want from the experience - You will get! and then some!
To set the scene - I've flown solo a little cessna 152 (infact out of Coventry) and I'm an keen 737 sim pilot on MSFS, so wanted to see what the "real" thing would be like as opposed to clicking switches with my mouse ! I treated myself to 90 mins in the 737 with 3 aims - enjoy the day, learn something and feel I got value for money. I can categorically say all 3 were acheived. Obviously FSM have to cater for everyone, for me the pre brief taught me nothing I didn't already know. Although, very well put together and Im sure very informative for those with little or no flight experience. In the cockpit - amazing. even seeing the cockpit in real life 3D made me giddy ! I flew with Capt Sarah Jarvis, and she was more than happy with my request to fly left seat (not for any delusions of grandeur, just that's what I'm used to on MSFS and panel geography etc). We flew EGLL - EHAM from cold and dark. Sarah was brilliant providing the role of not only a member of FSM staff, but also a fully qualified Airline pilot, (huge respect) an instructor and even as my first officer - in MSFS at home I don't enjoy the luxury of being asked if I want the Auto throttle disengaging or Flaps 1 set ! Sarah left things pretty much to me, with highly valued advice and guidance from start up to stand, My 5 stars are as much for her as for the company. I'm not sure of all the 737 sim capabilities, but I'd love to go back and programme/ fly a full simbrief flight plan. Summary - Great HQ, professional and friendly staff, you will have fun, you will learn a lot, you will still be buzzing 5 hours later, whether it's a first flight experience or honing any level of existing skills.

      Airbus A320 brilliant day's flying.
This was my 4th trip to FSM, having flown the fleet and now come back to spend a more in-depth day on the A320. In the morning we spent a little time refreshing on the basics of A320 and instrumentation. Then Paul setup for the Sullly Experience (the Hudson river landing). We discussed what had happened and the basic scenarios they were presented with. We then flew all the scenarios and saw if any of them (apart from the river) were actually viable. Very very interesting outcomes - no spoiler here - you'll have to fly it for yourself. We then reset and went for the river landing. It is simple in its concept but hard to keep the plane in trim and line up correctly. I am proud to say I did land it very near the actual point. In the afternoon we agreed that a real-time flight would be a good use of the time. We did a briefing on the London Amsterdam route - going through the printed flight plan and discussing the various weather and airways information available. We then went to the Simulator and sat down to a completely cold A320 on stand at Heathrow T5. We went through the checklists and got the flight plan loaded whilst waiting for the cargo and passengers to show ready. We had to power up all systems ready for the off. Once we had clearances we were pushed back and headed to the runway ready for take off. Take off was smooth and we headed on the Brookman's park departure towards Amsterdam. In flight we were on Auto pilot and spent time discussing the next sectors and Checking the weather at AMS. This gave us time to make sure the director was fully setup. We had to hold at AMS (apparently normal) - when we came out of hold we came in to land and found that the visibility ceiling was below 200ft - so back into the air and a missed landing. We had discussions about this - weather was not going to get better quickly so we agreed divert to alternate of Brussels. Setup the flight director and started on our way. Unfortunately we had a number 1 engine fire ! We followed the procedures, extinguished the fire and discussed how I was going to land the plane at Brussels. Again setting up the director with the new information and bringing us in - taking manual control at the last minute. Difficult to control - but landed safely. Paul was the instructor - very good - pleasant, courteous, knowledgable and a good sense of humour. He pushed me on the flights making me do the majority of the work and I am so glad that he did - it was a brilliant day. Paul - thank you, totally enjoyed the day and the experience. To Chris and rest of the crew - keep on going - really worth it. regards Mike.

A great experiance for an aspiring Pilot
We visited Flight Simulators Midlands at the beginning of August 2023. My 15 year old Daughter is keen on becoming a commercial pilot and this experience is one of the things we had planned for the holiday. We arrived and were greeted and made to feel very welcome. We sat through the preflight briefing together and the information provided was very detailed and yet easy to understand. When it came time to fly we went through to the simulator and as a keen aviation enthusiast it was remarkable how realistic the flight experience was. As a passenger I could look out of the side windows and see landscape. The pilot taking the lesson was very well spoken and pitched everything at the correct level for my Daughter who managed to fly and land the aircraft three times during our experience. She was very much at the controls under his guidance. He explained everything to her in a manner she understood and this made for a really good experience. After the session was completed we had a good amount of time to sit and speak to the Pilot about my Daughters desire to have a career in commercial aviation and he really did give her some good advice. This was an amazing experience that we both enjoyed, we got everything we wanted from this experience and more. My Daughter has come out of this with so much more experience and knowledge about flying and even some advice on how to work to aspire to the career she so dearly wants.

      Flying the A320, Sully experience!
The experience started with a 30 min briefing video explaining the theory of flight and how the Airbus A320 aircraft cockpit is set out. The motion simulator is a real A320 cockpit mounted on a moving platform. We then met our instructor, who explained what would be happening during the next hour in the simulator. The cool thing was that although I was the one flying, for a nominal fee a spectator can come too. At least they get to feel part of the experiance instead of having to sit in a waiting room bored, while I had all the fun! With some brilliant instruction I was able to fly the A320 around New York, and return to land at JFK, before moving to LaGuardia airport to try the three scenarios that Capt Sully was faced with when he landed on the Hudson. The instructor talked through each situation and explained why events happened the way they did in the real situation. Then we took off and tried each scenario in turn, try for Teterboro, return to LaGuardia, or head for the river, although we didn't get wet! Me and my wife were made to feel really welcome, the atmosphere was really friendly and relaxing, for a novice like myself, nothing was too much trouble to explain, which made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. So much so that we have booked to go back and try another aircraft next time.

      Brilliant experience
This was a brilliant experience with Josh in the A320 (13 Apr). My sons had bought it to celebrate my becoming an OAP! As a life long plane geek, this was a real bucket list thing to do. Right from arrival at FSM we were made very welcome and the initial briefing was great. The actual time in the simulator flew (sorry) past and we managed to squeeze in two flights. The motion and feel of the simulator felt really authentic and the quality of the graphics was outstanding. Josh's guidance was spot on, enough to stop us crashing but with enough headroom to let me learn too. Can't recommend this enough. Thanks Guys.

Wow!! What a great experience! Pilot Josh did a brilliant job. Briefings and tuition top class. Taking off and landing from challenging airports with very realistic 'views' and banking at 6.000 feet over the Alps watching the landscape changing below was amazing. All felt very real. Big thank you to Josh for making this a very special experience and also to Captain Chris Rigby and all the team for managing my pre-Covid booking and making it happen.
The experience was shared with my two adult sons. We combined two bookings which really made the most of our time in the simulators with Josh. We would certainly do it again and would recommend to anyone looking for an informative and fun experience that can be done any time of the year.

The whole experience was excellent from the video explaining how a plane is able to fly, the key aspects of the plane and the simulation experience. My simulation was on the Boeing 747 ( Jumbo) which I recommend as you can have a family member sit behind you. The captain named Paul was very friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel at ease straight away. We flew out and back into Strasbourg, Hong Kong and then an incredible landing into the old Hong Kong airport called Kai Tak which essentially took us over high rise building as we approached- incredible!!

Glad you enjoyed it Dave. Yes, Paul is very knowledgeable but as a senior captain for many years on the 747 with BA, that's what you would expect. Kai Tak is something else isn't it? Hope to see you again soon - Captain Chris

My wife bought me a session on a flight simulator for my birthday. I flew an Airbus A320 into and out of New York and Hong Kong under the excellent guidance of Josh after a very detailed and interesting briefing on video. It felt just like the real thing! This was an absolutely fabulous expereince which I can thoroughly recommend. I had upgraded the thirty minutes flying time to a full hour and I would recommend everybody to do the same; the time still disappeared too quickly. I would also recommend taking family with you. It only cost £10 for my wife to be part of the whole experience and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

What I can say is that the whole experience from welcome through briefing to "Flying the Fleet" to post flight, was professional, fun and great value. Look out for the "offers" and if you get the sim flying bug the discounts for return visits.

FSM have great instructors and a really good learning environment. As I have some flying experience I got a lot out of the sessions, but it is not a requirement at all, children and those with no aviation experience are equally well looked after.

There is some great aircrew banter too. My instructors Josh (Airbus) and Paul (Boeing) were both excellent, although Paul said if I did a review I was to be sure to say he was the best! 😉

FSM is a happy place, offering great experiences in a truly professional environment at a much lower rate than you would expect for such realistic simulators

If thinking about it, just book with confidence, you will have a great time.

This was such a real-life experience and I would highly recommend this to anyone. The Airbus simulator is an actual cockpit of an A320 and is so realistic. My Capt for the flights was Kirk Pugh who provided excellent instruction in a professional and friendly manner putting me at ease throughout the experience. The whole session greatly exceeded my expectations and that was down to the equipment and the first-class instruction from Kirk.

Spent a brilliant couple of hours at FSM, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond what I expected. The site is easy to find at Coventry Airport with free parking, and after a quick check-in there was a video briefing about what to expect and the basics of flying the A320. My instructor Paul introduced himself and we discussed my flying experience and preferences, he then gave me a quick tour of the other simulators before we sat down in the cockpit of the A320 simulator (a real-life cockpit removed from a BA plane). Paul tailored the flight according to my abilities and I had a fantastic 60 minutes in the simulator that was better than I hoped for and felt so realistic I was drained at the end of it! I cannot thank Paul, Chris and Morgan enough for the afternoon, I will remember it for a long time and highly recommend a visit for anyone with any interest in flying or just want to try something a bit different.

Excellent set up, bought my husband a 90 minute experience which passed quickly as it was very detailed and enjoyable for aviation fans like us. Flew an A320 over a London scene with pilot Peter Green who tailored a great flight for hubby, he was fun, informative and put us at ease. We’ve booked to return so we can fly a 747 too.

A fantastic experience, really worth booking up. Staff were absolutely brilliant, really makes you feel at home. Everything explained properly. Excellent training and instructions from Josh, who really helps to make the whole experience that even more fab , thanks Josh. Depending what sim you try family and a friend or two can sit behind while you experience almost the real thing, then score you on your piloting skills ( mine did and managed a 9 🙂) will definitely be returning to try different aircraft but my son booked up straight away. Would recommend it to anyone who fancies a go at flying with authentic cockpit and controls. It does give you a realistic feel.

If you're looking for an unusual gift or just an amazing experience for yourself, this is fantastic. We all fly in lots of planes with no real idea what's going on in the cockpit, this is a great way to find out. This was bought for me as a birthday present and rarely have I had a better one. I decided to fly the 737 simulator as I have flown as a passenger in one many times. My instructor Captain Neil was brilliant explaining everything to me also reminding me that it takes real pilots a long time to master the skills required. A couple of take offs and landings in Tenerife and the ultimate test, landing in Hong Kong were both a great experience. I thoroughly recommend this, do it!

My 3rd time and back on the A320 again, getting more and more confident thanks to the brilliant instructors. This time I had Captain Kirk who I have to say has to be my favourite, really professional and let me take control for most of the flight and also showed me how the autopilot works.

We flew from BHX-NQY which filled the time nicely and was where I wanted to go.

Already booked another session on the A320 in December, can't wait!
