Stand up paddleboarding is fun, safe and all age groups and fitness levels can enjoy it. During this Taster Session you’ll learn the basics of standing on the board, paddling forward and turning.
You'll be standing up and paddling by the end of the session.
We think you’ll be hooked!
The main thing you need to progress in Stand Up Paddling is a great location and great instruction. Sam, your instructor, has been teaching water sports for the last 20 years and is a highly qualified and experienced coach.
Our location is perfect, in that the water stays flat and wind free in a huge range of conditions whilst offering fantastic views.

To find me head to the top of the driveway leading into the parking and at the junction turn left, I'll be in a blue, camouflaged VW, with a few boards outside.

Great taster session! Would highly recommend to individuals, couples or small groups. Sam is a good guy & very knowledgeable; he put us at ease immediately and judged our capability levels well. We were standing on the boards in under 10 mins on the water and had a brilliant sess! Thank you Sam :)

My husband, son and I arrived at the canal and was greeted by Sam. He quickly got us sized up for wetsuits and got us on the water immediately. It was so much fun! Sam has years of experience and is very knowledgeable and his lessons are easy to follow and understand.
The lesson was great. My husband and I both fell in and Sam was able to get us back on our boards within minutes with clear directions.
My son wasn’t able to stand up and Sam didn’t make a fuss. He just encouraged him to do his best on his knees and enjoy the lesson.
We had a great time and are looking forward to paddle boarding again.

I had been looking to get a paddle board for some time and thought it would be worth trying a taster session before i took the plunge. Very straightforward to book on the website and an email confirmation followed. On the day had a text from Sam confirming still going ahead and any extra questions. We met at the apperley bridge marina and donned the wetsuits ( if needed) . The lesson was very straightforward and gave myself the basic steps to be able to paddle, stand up , turning and how to get back on the board if you fall in which i did a few times…. Sam was very calm and explained the instructions that anyone could pick up. Definitely would recommend and i will be book another session soon

Went with my sister, and neither of us had done it before. Sam was so patient and calming, and we both managed to stand and not fall off. He didn't push and let us both do it at our own speed. We had such a good time. I would highly recommend it. I'm already planning my next go on the water and taking my son this time as Sam is happy to teach kids as well.

Fantastic morning learning the basics of Stand Up Paddleboarding. The instructor was excellent; friendly, knowledgeable and patient. All equipment needed was provided, including wet suit if required. I came away with the confidence to have another go at SUP on my own, and will definitely do so!

Fantastic experience, learnt loads and got a lot more confident on the board. Sam was really good at putting people at ease and teaching us different techniques. This class was enough for me to feel confident having a go at paddle boarding on my own

Really good experience. I went with my daughter neither of us had been paddle boarding before. The pace, style and information given was at a good steady pace. I would highly recommend the experience

Great taster session with Sam. Made the whole thing feel easy, very relaxed but learnt both practical and theory. The lesson gave me the confidence to go again which I’ll be doing very soon.
