- janephillipsw0 contributionsBest bike tour of Hampton Court!!Coddiwomple's Hampton Court Bike Tour surpassed all of our expectations! Our guide Trish was knowledgeable, humorous, skilled, and marvellous. We toured Bushy Park, Home Park, and Hampton Court Palace in one gorgeous loop. The roads are wide and easy to bike along. There are deer resting off to the sides. And of course there's the palace itself! Incredible! When booking, Lydia was professional and so helpful. I organised a tour for 14 ladies and each one had a memorable day. I couldn't recommend the experience more highly. Thank you Coddiwomple, Trish, and Lydia. 5 stars!!Written 12 September 2024
- pennyhE9306YM0 contributionsGentle Cycle TourHarry and I enjoyed our informative cycle ride yesterday. It was nice being part of a small group. The route was so pretty and easy on the knees!! We enjoyed hearing the informative chats about the different places we stopped at. We would love to join you on one of the other tours, maybe Windsor.Written 8 September 2024
- katymX6408GJ0 contributionsA truly unique, off the beaten path experience with a fantastic tour guide! Thank you, Trish! This was an incredible tour and cannot be missed! It was well organized and our tour guide, Trish, was the perfect blend of informative and letting us soak in the surrounding nature. Trish was immediately welcoming and professional, while being approachable and conversational throughout the tour. I truly felt like I got an inside look at London and the palace grounds! She took pictures of everyone, would let us pull over and ask questions, and it felt leisurely and purposeful. Trish went out of her way to make sure I had a fulfilling trip to London, and as a solo traveler, I was so grateful to her! She gave me local recommendations beyond what we covered in the tour, and truly made me feel welcome. I will be doing this tour (with Trish) from now on!Written 3 September 2024
- garyr0berts0n0 contributionsLovely Hampton Court guided rideWe thoroughly enjoyed our cycle tour around Hampton Court on Friday. Trish was a super guide – Friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!Written 7 July 2024
- N5EYpennys0 contributionsGreat ride!Great ride and Trish our leader was terrific - very knowledgeable, great sense of humour, friendly and helpful. A lovely way to see the palace parks and the route was almost totally flat - just as well as the bikes had no gears!Written 13 May 2024

- paulcat180 contributionsJust the Best DayI am a 75 year old Gran and did this trip with my 14 year old Grand-daughter. We loved every minute of it. Trish our guide was amazing, great fun and very knowledgable. It is nicely paced so you do not feel rushed and there is a stop at a pub for a drink. I would most certainly recommend this trip it was wonderful. Pauline CWritten 14 August 2023
- BridgetGB650 contributionsLovely way to spend a Sunday morning!Spent a lovely Sunday morning cycling around the royal parks of Hampton Court with Trish our guide. Im not a cyclist by any means but the route is very flat and easy to manage even for me. Trish was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and great to chat with as we navigated the route. We saw large carp in the river, parakeets & several deer herds too which was lovely. Great time had by all.Written 14 May 2023
- vladimirvE6716KC0 contributionsA relaxing adventureIt was a very pleasant cycling journey with lovely views around Bushy park. The guide was lovely and listening to the history of Hampton Court Grounds was very thrilling! 10/10Written 13 May 2023
- bellew00dward0 contributionsA Royal Cycle TourWhat a wonderful experience! Cycling around the beautiful parkland of Hampton Court on a "vintage" bike in the company of the excellent Trish and other like-minded people' was a superb birthday present. From the time we met at Hampton Court Station to the moment we delivered our bikes to our starting point, everything went like clockwork. We were blessed with sunshine which added to the feeling of well-being. At certain points along the way, Trish stopped and shared her immense historical knowledge of the route, greatly enhancing the enjoyment. We saw many deer, dozing in the heat of a beautiful summer's day and went around the edge of an area where skylarks are nesting. Much of the route was shaded and with stop at a local pub, it does not feel strenuous. As long as you can ride a bike, I feel it is suitable for everyone. Loved it.Written 18 July 2022
- Benjijackson0 contributionsA lovely thing to do!Had this tour pushed back a couple of times due to Covid - but when we got around to it, it was definitely worth it. Parked the car at Hampton Court railway station - parking is at the back! Usual hassle to park - by text/phone etc so allow some time for this. We walked 5 mins to a pub car park where the bikes were stored. A bit of a weird looking ‘Dutch style’ bike - proved to be very comfortable! So picturesque, the cycling was all very flat so easy to do. It was about 8 miles in total. There was a stop halfway at a (very noisy traffic) pub which we didn’t need but was ok. All in all, a very interesting, different, nice thing to do for a half day. On advice is - take a hat if sunny and enjoy! Our Dutch tour guide was very knowledgeable and welcoming - many thanks to her!Written 14 August 2021

We had a fantastic morning riding near Windsor. The weather was great for a scenic ride through the countryside. Trisha, our guide, proved to be knowleadgeable, friendly and attentive to our safety. She gave us valuable insight into the area and sights without ever becoming verbose, pompous or boring.
The bikes have certainly seen better days, but are in good working condition. Don't expect fancy mountain bikes with multiple gears and dampers. These are old-school, simple, sturdy bikes, perfect for this kind of ride. The journey is mostly flat, so gears aren't missed.
The tour had interesting highlights we wouldn't have appreciated on our own, like the rustic 12th Century church tucked in the middle of a field.
It's a very well designed route with good views, relaxed riding and few interaction with motorised transit. Highly recommended.

Great leader, great experience. A little back to nature bike travel, but very easy. Trish was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and answered lots of queries about England itself.

We were given an "experience" voucher by our daughter and picked this one.
Im a reasonable but "older" cyclist - my wife a less experienced cyclist, but in good health. It was easy cycling, along mostly un-hilly cycle ways - some town, but mostly riverbank or country. We stopped regularly so easy to catch our breath!
The tour guide (Trish) was truly excellent, passionate and knowledgeable about Windsor, without being over the top. Lovely experience - couldn't fault it

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with our guide Trisha, who was knowledgeable, amusing and very helpful. The route through Windsor and Eton taking us to Dorney Lake was beautiful and mostly off road. Can highly recommend this trip and will definitely come back again. Next trip with Coddiwomple will be the Hampton Court route! Great value and met all expectations and more. Thank you Trisha!

We really enjoyed our cycle tour of Windsor, Eton and the River Thames. Trisha had chosen a super route so that we had minimal time cycling on roads, most of the route was on paths and towpaths beside the river. Obviously in August everywhere was busy with visitors (like ourselves!) but we nevertheless got a sense of the tranquility in the shade of the trees beside the river. We had great vantage points to view the castle and Trisha pointed out historic buildings of interest, telling enlightening stories about their past. The Olympic Rowing lake was a highlight. As former rowers, we both appreciated a fantastic facility! Thank you for a great tour!

Would we be able to fit in a tour of the castle in the afternoon
Written 8 September 2018
Yes, I would think you can. Trisha, the bike tour guide, does two tours per day, at 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. the tours last 3 hours, so the morning one is finished by 1.30. The castle tours take about 3 hours, so you could comfortably do that in the afternoon.
