- Karina2720 contributionsPerfect Day TripMy adult son and I were delighted with this day tour. Our guide, Freddy, had a nice sense of humour and was knowledgeable about local history and folk lore. Enough time was allotted in each of the places to explore on our own for a bit. My son enjoyed climbing to the top of many castle towers. I was happy that we took a small road through a lovely valley on the way to Snowdonia, and that, because of the season -- and good luck -- we were afforded the opportunity to view seals as well as the Himalayan mountain goats.Written 3 October 2024

- 304galinal0 contributionsVery recommendedMy husband and I went on this tour on August 30th. Since we are not local and the tour started early in the morning, we had to arrive the day before. We were a little worried about finding the gathering place, but we easily found it right in front of the entrance from the train station. We were met by a guide (he is also the driver) in a minibus designed for 16 people. We really liked that the group was small and (in our case) very responsible for the allocation of time at all stops, which allowed us to arrive back at the pick-up point on time. We visited all the indicated places and were completely delighted. In addition, we were not as tired as we expected, because the longest ride period was about 45 minutes back. I mean, we were not tired of the long drive, there were often stops at interesting and picturesque places that did not allow us to get bored, especially when our guide told us something along the way. Just in case, we took some snacks and water for the road, but despite this, somewhere at lunchtime there was a long stop near the museum dedicated to the extraction of slate, where there were several cafes. It may also be useful for someone to find out: in order to visit two castles, it was necessary to pay an entrance fee. We took the usual two adult tickets - Conwy ÂŁ25 for two and Caernarfon ÂŁ27.40 for two.Written 12 September 2024

When we started after a rain washed Saturday, we were apprehensive about the weather. Luckily it was sunny the entire day and it was an amazing day spend.
The tour operator was an avid adventure sports professional and his knowledge of local history added a different flavour to the trip.
Conwy castle and town was amazing. You can spend a day there easily.
Portmeirion is a shock with Greece, Italy, British, Asian architecture all jumbled together in one village.
Snowdon view was breathtaking and the ugly house was unique in all sense in its architecture and history.
What made it so special was the hearty message left and the end of the trip while kite flying in conrwy.... Will recommend everyone to go for this if you need to cover a lot of wales in short amount of time.

Freddie gave us a great tour — just the right balance of info sharing and letting us experience and enjoy on our own. Great mix of historic sites and nature. Tip: Do check all of the site admission prices. Most sites are optional but you really have to pay (£18 each) at Port Meirion because there isn’t anything to see outside and no other option for lunch. It’s worth it but we were caught off by that. Overall, great way to see the area in one day without figuring out public transit or renting a car.

Good package for North Wales. Driver was punctual and informative, enough time to cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary except the Snowdonia view point. We were given just just 10 mins at Snowdonia view point, considering that's one of the key attractions, I reckon more time ..

I absolutely loved this tour and as someone who is spending 3 weeks travelling around North Wales and wanting to see everything, this ticked about 10 boxes off my to do list! It would have cost me more in fuel to see everything we did on this tour and the history and knowledge given by Chris throughout the tour was amazing! Chris was fun, happy, easy going and very knowledgeable! The only tiny thing I would say is that if perhaps we could have slowed down just a little when going through Betws y Coed and Bedgellert, It would have save me two more trips. However, that is only my view because of the type of trip I am on and if I am honest, I am just being incredibly greedy as we saw so very much in just 9 hours!
Would recommend 150% no matter what type of trip you are on. Absolutely brilliant and great fun! Thanks Chris.

This trip is a must if you are based in Llandudno and don’t have your own transport. So many great things to see. Freddie was our guide and he was brilliant and informative and we learnt lots throughout the day. A great way to see some wonderful sights in North Wales. If you have mobility issues bear in mind there are steps to negotiate on some parts of the tour.
Also important to note is that admissions are not included in the tour price. I thought £14.50pp for Portmeirion Village was a bit strong for a 2-hour stop, considering you can spend the whole day for £18pp. By the time we got served and ate lunch there we already used up an hour. Beautiful place but not enough time to fully appreciate all that’s there. Swallow Falls is well worth the £2 entrance fee, just stunning. And the 360° views in Snowdonia are breathtaking. So many interesting places to see in this full day tour. Overall, definitely worth it and would recommend to all visiting Llandudno.

I am always a wee bit cautious when booking a full day tour with 14 strangers, but our expert guide Chris made this day nothing short of exceptional. Chris is a highly energetic, adventurous and knowledge guide that shares interesting stories and facts while showing the unbelievable beauty within Northern Wales. He also makes sure you have plenty of time at each stop to stretch your legs and take in the full beauty in front of you. This was greatly appreciated as it is a solid full day tour. If you book this tour make sure you ask Chris about his celebrity dog.

What a wonderful tour! Our guide was very, very knowledgable about everywhere we stopped, and the surrounding areas; if you're interested in history, Wales, or just want amazingly entertaining stories, this tour has them, lots of them! We had plenty of time at each stop, each of which were absolutely wonderful, particularly the Snowdonia National Park - WOW. I really couldn't recommend this tour enough, even if you have a car and can get to the placed yourself (we didn't), you'd miss out on so much history and interesting details you wouldn't get anywhere else. HIGHLY recommended, absolutely joyous experience!

The views were breathtaking. The tour guide Freddie was fantastic he was funny, helpful and knowledgeable. He was a safe driver aswell. Enjoyed everywhere we visited, absolutely amazing but the only downside we all felt was that there just wasn’t enough time to explore properly and felt rushed also having to pay admission fees on top. Cafe at Portmeirion was expensive too. Would love to go back again but to visit for a full day and explore properly and get moneys worth.

I wanted to treat myself to some sightseeing after my exams were over so I booked it for myself and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I ever made! We had Phil as our driver, who was passionate and energetic and just full of knowledge! He shared with us the history and facts of all the places we had visited and made us laugh through it all! I’d highly recommend booking with them as a solo traveler or even as a family or couple because it was such a wonderful day out!!

You'll definitely want to call the tour company with that question, it did not come up on our tour. But I did look at Portmeirion Village's web site and it says pets are not allowed on-site, with the exception of Guide or registered assistance dogs/animals. Plus, you'll spend a fair amount of time driving around the countryside in the van, can't imagine a dog would enjoy that much. But again, best to call the tour company to get the official answer.
