- Sarajosmond00Informative tourExcellent walking tour with Lucy. There were only 2 of us so we had an exclusive tour which was great. Lucy is very knowledgeable and delivers the information in an interesting and approachable way. We even saw some Daleks and a local celebrity! I would definitely recommend this tour.
- johngR8701DK00A great morning exploring Cardiff BayLucy took four of us on her Cardiff Bay Walking tour, it was great. Lots of history and detail with out being too dry, and all delivered by Lucy in a friendly and good natured way. It ticked all the boxes for us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you book this tour with lucy if you wish to understand more of Cardiff Bay, it's history and the redevelopment of the area.
- B3399BAvictoriae00A tour to remember and not to be missed !We had an absolutely marvellous tour with Lucy around Cardiff Bay. It was a tour full of history, architecture, socio-economics, all delivered by Lucy in a very light and deft way, and well illustrated by historical photographs which she brought along. The tour was full of contrasts; from the phenomenal growth of Cardiff to become the coal capital of the world, to the city's decline as the era of coal waned, then to the redevelopment and regeneration of the Bay. I would like to say that I recently went on Lucy's tour of the city centre which dovetails with this tour, and which for me really enhanced the whole experience. I would really recommend doing both tours to get the full impact of Cardiff's history, but in any event this tour of the Cardiff Bay nails it and should not be missed. Diolch Lucy !
- 1libertyh00Learnt so many interesting facts!!Booked this tour for my boyfriend's Birthday as we love to do a walking tour when in a new city. I learnt so much about the history of Cardiff, the families instrumental in its developments and a few fun facts i've been regurgitating to friends and family since being back. This is great value for money, you'll be in safe hands and experience sights you would only have ever walked passed had you had this guide. Don't think about it, just book you won't be disappointed :)
- pscem00Thoroughly enjoyable experienceExcellent informative experience. Although I have visited the Bay many times I learnt so many interesting facts on the tour I didn’t know before . It was well organised and Lucy was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions . Such an enjoyable experience I would recommend to everyone whether you have visited the Bay before or not.
- BongsTraveller00Great tour around the bayWe were the only 2 people of Lucy’s tour so she felt like our own private guide. Had a great tour around the bay and the tidal barrage. It was a very informative tour and is highly recommended.
- Anita S00Informative and enjoyableWe really enjoyed our tour. It was leisurely and informal, at our own pace. We learned all about the history of Cardiff and the ‘black gold rush’, as well as all the modern redevelopment. There was filming for a Netflix series ‘Havoc’, which was fun. The coal exchange was fascinating. A must-do trip when visiting Cardiff.
- jane64201700A Glimpse into the Secrets of Cardiff BayThis was an excellent tour - I learnt so much. Lucy has the knowledge and ability to pass on her inspiring nuggets of information in a fun, but meaningful way. Theses are the sort of tours I love - thank you so much, the whole tour was a fascinating glimpse into both the past and the present, possibly even the future!
- Erica R00Lovely morning around Cardiff BayLucy was lovely and very knowledgeable. Learned so much about the history of Cardiff and saw little nooks around the bay that I otherwise would have missed. Thanks Lucy!
- trevorg96500Also a way for Cardiff residents to learn something new about the city's heritageI thought I knew a bit about the history of Cardiff Bay but during Lucy's well researched walking tour I learnt some more. Very worthwhile for visitors and, as I found out, even for long term residents. Highly recommended
- Louise T00Fascinating Insight into Cardiff BayLucy was a great guide, full of facts and fun! She brought to life the colourful history of Cardiff Bay (and Tiger Bay), explaining its fascinating story and role in the Industrial revolution. I learnt lots about the culture of the Bay and its diversity as we walked around on this perfectly-paced tour. We even got to enjoy a drink in the Packet pub (one of only original pubs left standing) and took time to look at photos of the docks in their heyday. A great way to spend 2 hours!
- Hafcen00A lovely way to discover Cardiff Bay and Cardiff's historyI'm born and bred in Cardiff but I have lived away for 26 years so this was a great way to reconnect with Cardiff's heritage. I took my mam with me who could recall a lot of the history! I love Cardiff Bay but this tour added a whole new level of insight, and it was fascinating. I never really understood the significance of the coal industry and what it meant to Cardiff and our guide Lucy really brought the whole story together. Historical information peppered with personal experience. I definitely recommend this tour, it's just 2 hours, full of interesting facts about Cardiff's history and a lovely drink at the oldest pub in the Bay along the way where you can see old pictures of how it looked in the past.. pretty much as Lucy described!
- Phoebe M00Best walking tour ever!I don't usually go on guided walks but I really enjoyed, the stories Lucy told about Cardiff Bay and I loved the stop off in the 'oldest pub' I learnt a lot!!
- 890alicem00Enjoyable walkBefore my visit to Cardiff Bay with Lucy as a guide I didn't know a lot about the history of the Bay, and was very impressed by her knowledge and charisma. The style of the tour was easy to understand and Lucy offered loads of opportunities to ask questions. The stop off was good as it gave everyone a chance to discuss what they had learnt, whilst enjoying the pictures of Tiger Bay. A lovely walk with lots of history and fun.
- marilynkX7445ZE00Fascinating history of Cardiff BayI've lived in Cardiff all my life and thought I knew just almost everything about Cardiff. But this tour and Lucy's wide knowledge of the Bay area opened my eyes to a fascinating period in Cardiff's recent history when it was transformed from a small town to a buzzing international port exporting its goods all over the world. The tour is also kind to those of us less able as it is all on the flat and not too long

Teleri was a lovely guide with so much knowledge to share. She reached out to us prior to our visit to Cardiff to ensure that we knew exactly where to meet her. She was easy to find and the time we spent with her went by so quickly. She was kind, informative, and extremely knowledgeable about the history and the area. I highly recommend starting off your visit to Cardiff with this walking tour so you can get a better idea of what you want to visit later during your visit.

We stumbled across Lucy by chance and so glad we did. Although we are fairly local to Cardiff, Lucy made the tour very interesting and informative. We discovered many new things and a lot of history about Cardiff centre even though we had visited many times previously.
I would highly recommend Lucy as a tour guide and this tour would make a fabulous gift for a close friend or loved one, even if you're local and think you know Cardiff.

Lucy is a lovely, friendly and helpful person. It was great starting point to our holiday in Cardiff- which we love and enjoyed discovering. Her recommendations, knowledge of the city and coffee made it a very worthwhile experience.

Lucy is very knowledgeable and we had a great time exploring Cardiff with her! She is a lovely person and we really enjoyed the special touch that you stop together for a refreshment while on tour. A great afternoon on the City Walking Tour. Our guide was not only well briefed but really interested in the history. Really enjoyed the castle, arcades, market and parks. The time flew past and we finished with coffee in the art gallery. I would really recommend it Claire

My wife and I joined another couple on this tour in September 2023. We had a terrific time and we highly recommend Lucy as a tour guide. We got a perfectly splendid mix of ancient and modern history and we were inspired to go back to the mall for shopping and to the grounds for the castle tour. Lucy's pace, flexibility and delivery were perfect for us.

I thought I knew Cardiff but this tour gave me a much better insight into aspects of the city and was thoroughly enjoyable. Would also be an excellent tour for those new to the city or just on a short stay and wanting to get orientated, know, where to go and to understand the city.

We enjoyed this walking tour. It was relaxed and informative. Our favourite part was being introduced to the impressionist art gallery.
Our guide, Lucy, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We went on to buy her book.
