Cardiff has been an essential part of Doctor Who for the last 20 years, be it as Victorian London, Depression era New York or present day Paris. Across two and a half hours, we will discover the heart and soul of Doctor Who in the Welsh capital, and traverse 13 series of the show, while discussing filming locations, important scenes and characters, as well as crucial buildings and streets. The Doctor Who Tour covers a range of locations from Cardiff's Civic Centre area to the city centre itself and then finishes in Cardiff Bay. What makes this tour distinctive to the Cardiff City Centre Doctor Who Tour option is that is includes Butetown and Cardiff Bay in addition to the central area of the city, so more scenes, more locations and more Doctor Who!

    Fantastic Walking Tour in Cardiff
What a fantastic tour! Remo was an excellent guide, great fun to chat to and provided a lot of interesting information and stores about the city of Cardiff. Love doing walking tours in all the cities we go to, and this one is not to be missed! Thanks for such a great day!

    Terrific experience
Eugene was awesome! This was a great walking tour, and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather too. Eugene was very knowledgeable and spoke on a variety of topics. Group was a nice size so we could all keep up and gather around to hear and ask questions. Very enjoyable! Good tips on things to do.

    Friendly & knowledgable guide
Eugene was friendly, confident and very knowledgable about Cardiff. I got to know the history, culture and geography of Cardiff city centre with some gems along the way. Also got some tips on places to eat afterwards. Advertised as “free”, but gratuities (“whatever you think appropriate”) are appreciated. There was a local citizen on our tour who thoroughly enjoyed learning more about his home city!

    Entertaining tour of Cardiff
This tour is the perfect way to learn about the city’s history in particular and Welsh culture in general. The tour lasts at least two hours, depending on how many questions participants raise. Highly recommended as an introduction to Cardiff’s landmarks.

    Great tour
Really enjoyed the tour. Very interesting and got to see some of the main sites. Eugene was very knowledgeable and managed the large group on half marathon weekend well. Was helpful to stop and regroup when providing information rather than trying to pass it on as we walked. Definitely recommended. Thank you.

    Worthy tour
Interesting tour with ‘I never knew that moments’ lasted a couple of hours. Castle park was my favourite bit. Not sure asking where everyone was from was needed & also mentioning something then saying we’ll talk about that in a bit all the time was slightly annoying 😂. Thanks anyway, would definitely recommend

    Excellent free Cardiff walking tour
We really enjoyed the free walking tour. The guide (Eugene) turned up at the time he said he would and was really informative and friendly. Two hours was just about right and there were a few stops where there was the option for some of the tou party to sit down (if they wanted). I would recommend getting the walking tour in early in your stay, as it really helps you to find your way around the city.

We organised this private tour for our family group of 6 spanning three generations. We are all interested in Dr Who although with varying levels of knowledge/ memory. Eugene was brilliant and kept us all interested and engaged. Starting from the War Memorial, over the course of nearly three hours we slowly made our way through the city and down to the Bay. We covered loads of filming sites including some inside buildings which were interesting in their own right. The tour took in the current BBC exhibition in the National Museum and included a very special site in St Johns Church, the nature of which I can’t reveal! At the Bay, Eugene included some important Torchwood information. It was a fabulous tour and thank you Eugene for working so hard for us. Six stars!

Perfect for any Dr Who fans. Eugene was a brilliant guide and really knew his stuff. Lots of detailed insight into many locations used in the series, and it spanned a wide area of the city. We only had a few hours in Cardiff and this was a fantastic way to make the most of the time we had and please our Dr Who fanatic kids at the same time! We loved the secret in the church, but you'll have to go on the tour to find out about that!

Eugene researched and designed this tour himself. He was knowledgeable and gave plenty of time on each part of the tour to ask questions. He was willing to take photos for us and even allowed a time for buying souvenirs. He was very friendly and engaging. Highly recommended!

I am a LIFE LONG Doctor Who Fan, my family are much more causual with their fandom, and we all had a blast. Eugene was a fantastic tour guide. He really knows a lot about both Doctor Who and Cardiff. He was very up to date and even showed us filming locations from an episode that had aired just a week before. There was never a part on the tour where we felt bored, or felt like the walks were too long between points. We saw filming locations from all over our favorite seasons.

We’ve been on poor walking tours in the past, and the guide is the difference. Eugene was everything we wanted and made it very interesting for us and it was great to relive our favorite parts of the series. I went home wanting to re-watch all of the episodes with a new perspective into where and how they were filmed.

I'd highly recommend Eugene's Doctor Who tour. For my teenage daughters it was the perfect opportunity to bring their love of Doctor Who alive and to see how different sites in Cardiff have been used from the 9th Doctor onwards. It is clear how much work Eugene has put into devising the tour, and we really enjoyed talking to him about the actors, episodes, aliens, writers and plotlines of Doctor Who and Torchwood. We even touched on Sherlock (also filmed in Cardiff), much to our delight! Many thanks for a great afternoon.

I would definitely recommend this tour to any Doctor Who fans that want to discover all the places the series has been filmed in.

The tour contained many stops and references to dozens of episodes. It was also very interactive as Eugene was able to answer our questions every time, you can see he has not only spent hours doing research but he is also a big fan.

It's amazing to see the amount of work he has put into the tour. He came prepared with screenshots from the episodes, and he has updated the tour to include even the most recent episodes and filming locations of episodes to be released. He even helped us identify the location of one of our favourite Torchwood sequences we were struggling to place in the map.

Definitely 10/10, a must for the DW/TW fans.

Me and my daughter had a great time with Eugene who was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge of all Dr Who & Torchwood episodes are huge and we all had a laugh as he took us to lots of streets and sites where filming took place, he showed us photos of the show compared to the actual streets which was amazing. Thoroughly recommended to all Dr Who and Torchwood fans past and present. We ended the tour at the museum where there was 100 years of BBC on exhibition where we saw the Tardis, a Dalek and various costumes including Sherlock the 13th Doctor and Charlie from Casualties scrubs! Thanks Eugene Marianne & Mabel 👍
