What to expect
  • Your Giant’s Causeway tour starts with a hotel pickup in Belfast. Board your air-conditioned coach bus, and get ready for your first stop at Giant's Causeway. At the UNESCO World Heritage Site, your guide tells you cool local legends about the site as you climb the rocks on the coast. You get enough time at the Giant’s Causeway without feeling rushed. Then visit Carrickfergus Castle, a Norman fortress, and drive the scenic Antrim Road. Next up is Old Bushmills Distillery, which is super popular for its Irish whiskeys. You can enjoy lunch here (own expense), and wander the gift shop to see if you’d like to pick up any souvenirs (own expense). Last up on the day’s agenda is Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Once you arrive at the bridge, pay your entrance fee (own expense), and stand in a short line to get your chance to cross the 65-foot-long (20-meter-long) bridge. Amazing experience
Sep 2021 • Friends
We stayed in Belfast with work so decide to go on the tour as we had some free time in our hands. It was an excellent tour, and I think Derek was best part of it! He is very informative but on top of that he is hilarious! Can’t remember when I last laughed that much. He made our day! The places we visited were stunning and Northern Ireland coastline is something to die for. It is so beautiful! All in all it was great day out!

Well done Derek 😂
The causeway was great and worth visiting. The driver Derek was really good and kept us entertained the whole trip. The coastal route is beautiful and we passed through some really quaint glens. The downside is a lot of the stops are to see things from Game of Thrones, but I have never seen the programme so they meant nothing to me, just a manky step and some trees. It’s a shame because I would have loved to have stopped at some of the beaches or other villages. The rope bridge was shut and the whisky tasting were shut, not the coach companies fault but it would have been good to pre-warn us. Overall I would recommend this trip.

Expect the unexpected
I thought this would be the bog standard bus tour so I downloaded a kindle book to read until we arrive at each destination. Well I didn't get a chance with Derek! Never had a driver / guide like him. Very knowledgeable yet injected humour at every opportunity to keep the audience engaged. At times we didn't know what was true or not haha but very memorable. I was also expecting just the three stops but we had quite a few and enough time at each to take photos and wander around. Just over two hours spent at Giant Causeway after lunch. Thankfully every our on the tour (52 folk) all adhered to the times for returning to the bus (thanks to the warnings of being left behind haha) so it all worked like clockwork. Excellent value for money and make sure you're on Derek's bus!

The tour guide and also the bus driver Patrick was very professional. Rocco and I both loved his humorous way of introducing the stories behind each attraction. We did really have a good time all the way.

Fantastic day out and very entertaining
Sep 2021 • Couples
We had a lovely trip to the giants causeway, with a lot of extra information from Paul our driver - he also added in a lot of jokes, which very much added to the day. Very entertaining and interesting day, with well thought out timings. Unbelievable value for money. Wouldn't bother looking at anyone elses tours, unless it's a route McCombs don't do.

Paul was a genial, fun and knowledgeable host/ driver on our journey. We had amble stops in lovely places and the giants causeway was impressive. Free water was an added bonus and it was a nice modern coach.
