About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Emmajq0 contributionsExcellent tour of Titanic museumThe tour round the titanic museum was fantastic. Our guide was Peter and he was funny, interesting and knowledgeable. It lasted an hour and could have gone round again. He had such amazing stories and facts. The titanic museum itself was brilliant. We spent a good 3 hours with the tour and then and good look round the museum. Definitely worth every penny.Written 27 July 2024
- therichastill0 contributionsWalk it!Within Belfast there are a few different walking routes you can take to explore the city and probably the most popular is the Titanic Walking Tour which takes you over the river from the City Centre and alongside the docks where Harland & Wolff had their gigantic shipyards. These are now diminished but there are still signs of life which are probably best signified by the huge cranes Samson and Goliath. I would recommend paying a visit to the Titanic exhibition. I was not sure what I would get out of it but it was incredibly interesting. Included in the price of the ticket is also a visit to SS Nomadic which is the last remaining ship owned by the White Star Line. This is in a dry dock nearby. I would also suggest paying a visit to the soundyard which is a quirky way to discover what the docks may have sounded like although the sounds are probably a bit tame compared to what it was actually like hearing men banging hammers repeatedly. The final place I advise you to visit on the tour is the Dock Cafe which is a lovely little cafe close to the dry dock where SS Nomadic is located. It is a place where you pay what you think your service was worth. The cafe is dog friendly and you will get a warm welcome. There are lots of statues and information points to take in as you walk along and I am sure you will come away more informed about the area than before you arrived.Written 31 May 2024
- Ash6girl0 contributionsTitanic walk round tourGot this as a complimentary offer after the Museum has cancelled our visit due to refurbishment. It was disabled friendly with the exception of the S.S Nomadic. Thank you Katelyn for an excellent time and the care and consideration she showed towards me as I was on my mobility scooter. Packed full of facts it was extremely interesting and informative. The tour of S.S Nomadic was a very relaxed affair allowing you to go around at your own pace with staff on hand to answer questions.Written 24 February 2023
- W9819DIalexs0 contributionsA must do - better than the museumFantastic tour by a really passionate guide which helped a lot. A must do, better than the main museum with lots of history and bits that are still there. Definitely a concerted Titanirac after this tour!Written 27 August 2022
- aidan c0 contributionsA must do tour in BelfastGreat tour with Colin. Colin takes you through the history of titanic shipbuilding area in terrific detail and enthusiasm. Our favourite tour we have done in Belfast. Forget the museum, do this instead!!Written 13 June 2021
- Maureen T0 contributionsWorld Class Museum and Discovery TourMy husband and I have been to many museums around the world, and quite a few tours. The Titanic exhibit, as well as the guided tour, were absolutely excellent. If you are lucky you will have Libby as your guide. She is a natural and brought so much of the history she was explaining to life for us. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Also, it is worth every penny to take the Discovery Tour (as opposed to just buying the ticket to see the exhibit) as there is a lot of symbolism in the building design and the surrounding area. We would have missed much of what makes the site so unique without the explanations provided by Libby.Written 17 November 2019
- scottbL4427RC0 contributionsFantasticAbsolutely outstanding tour given by guide called Rob. Very informative and interesting. He really makes you think about the Titanic story from a different perspectiveWritten 21 May 2019
- 841lydiap0 contributionsWalking tourMy family and I had a wonderful time learning about the truths of the Titanic. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, and made our visit to the museum very much worthwhile. Thank you.Written 22 February 2019
- Phil G0 contributionsdisappointingThere wasn't much in the gift shop nor in the dry dock to see or do. Yes It was nice to see where she once stood and the wooden blocks where she stood on but that was it. There is the inside of the building to look at, I suppose a type of museum but its not very interesting at all. The dry dock is massive and gives you a real insight on how big she actually was! But, ÂŁ9 for that is abit much.Written 18 November 2016
- Joanne M0 contributionsInteresting tour and guideVery interesting tour and the guide was clearly passionate about his job. He made the tour worthwhile and we would recommendWritten 25 June 2016
- David M0 contributionsPart of Titanic ExperenceThis event should no be confused with the main Titanic Experience Centre contained within the very creatively designed 'Titanic' building. We wandered outside to this dock which now holds the 'Nomadic' which was used to tender passengers onto the Titanic and itself is worth the visit. As for the main attraction 'Titanic Experience' it's a must do in order to truly understand Belfast's industrial history, stories of emigration, and the history of the Titanic and the location it was built and launched in. The price is up there and even though we are very budget conscious, we found it to be about right for all the experience you get. The presentations and exhibits are world-class!Written 30 January 2016
- Jenen2460 contributionsTour of exhibitionTickets to this event were bought online so we didnt have to queue. I was satisfied with this exhibition it had both tactile and sensory exhibits the moving appearance of the floor which was a screen on three sides moving screen through the floors of the titanic. It would be better if the floor vibrated to complete the experience of being on the shipWritten 26 January 2016
- Alastair B0 contributionsIts a mustExcellent place, historical worth the money spent, spent a full day viewing and looking around. Its a must if you are in BelfastWritten 17 January 2016

Our tour guide Colin was a wealth of information, and the many locations were profoundly impactful to visit and stand in. The tour was 1.5 hours but went for 2 hours, which was an added bonus because we could spend time taking photos and marinating in the locations without feeling rushed. Compared to other similar walking tours this was better value and had more substance. There is a reason Titanic Walking Tours are the original and the best. We had guided access to many historical locations related to Titanic and a detailed explanation and backstory for each one. Unfortunately due to renovations and works being carried out on the pump house and dry dock, we were unable to gain internal access to these, however I don't feel this diminished the tour in any way because we were still able to view them externally, and were so lucky with all the other internal locations being accessible. (With any private buildings there may be minor access restrictions to some areas occasionally.) Definitely worth the time, money and experience.

I spoke to Collin via his facebook page to start with when I was booking the secret weekend away for my husbands 30th, I made him aware that my husband was passionate about the Titanic and the history and he helped sort out a private tour for the Sunday morning before we flew home.
The tour took around 1-2 hours, Collin started with a tour of the Titanic Hotel both inside and out giving detailed history of the building and the rooms we walked in. He even brought along a huge book with old photos to show what the area looked like in 1912.
We walked the slipway where both the Olympic and the Titanic were built and he went into detail about the history of the build, the men that worked on the build and even the detail of old concrete to new! All followed with photos of how the area looked at the time of the ship building which was amazing to see as we stood there in the flesh.
Finally we ended up at the dry docks and pump house, this is where you really get a feel for at least some of the shape and size of the Titanic. Once again Collin was full of knowledge with the history of this place and had his photos to compare life back in 1912 to what it looks like nowadays.
I don't want to go fully into detail on what was said because you have to experience that for yourself, you have to be there walking those grounds in person and listen to the history of the birth of the Titanic to really understand the beauty of the place and the ship itself before its tragic end.
Collin knew my husband was passionate about the Titanic and the history and really made us both feel welcome and gave us his precious time which we will forever be grateful for. He had such a bubbly personality and was so easy to get along with and have a laugh with, there were many times where he had us giggling and smiling.
We will defiantly visit again and we will 100% be seeing Collin again when we visit and next time we hope to be able to sit and have a whisky with him when the dry docks open once again!

If your looking to find out about the titanic then this is the tour for you.
We spent time with our guide Colin (and Erin) that I can only describe as a pleasure.
We were treated to a hands on tour, learning so much, the time flew by and to be honest you could listen to Colin all day, his passion and knowledge of Belfast ship building is second to none.
You get to see and feel the real deal, If your only going to do one tour this year do this one.
We were a party of 8 cousins, all of us were impressed with the tour, our knowledge of the 3 ships at the end of the tour was unbelievable.
I will definitely be recommending this to family and friends, worthwhile saying at this point the pump house is turning into a whisky distillery in may 2022, I’ll definitely be coming back to see this as well.
Thanks for the tour Colin it was spot on.

This was a real surprise. Colin is passionate and knowledgeable about the Titanic story, and as he says Belfast built a magnificent vessel and are proud of this.
His walking tour covers much about Harland Wolff, their story and evolution, through the buildings that are there and the infrastructure that is long gone. He brings it to life with stories of real people.
He also takes you to places that most visitors miss out in - the dry dock for example.
To complete any visit to Belfast’s Titanic precinct take Colin’s walking tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Pleasant tour guide, informative. Rather overpriced for an hour of basically walking about 200metres total… there were lots of customers so they must’ve made a killing!! Good radio headsets so we could hear the guide even if we were at the back or even if we stopped to look at something and got a bit behind - really good system. As I love history of this sort of thing I really enjoyed it overall, but slightly resent the price.

Peter was our guide. He was clearly knowledgeable, but unfortunately, it was fairly obvious from the start that he was rushing to make it to his next tour, so we just about had the hour we were supposed to get, although several of the reviews say they got much more than that.
Was it worth the ÂŁ13pp (ÂŁ26 per couple)? No - certainly not. If you walked round and read the boards, all the information was there anyway. We didn't see the dry dock that's in several peoples pictures - no idea where that was.
Basically, if you walk round with your eyes open, and read all the boards, you'll do the same thing and save yourself ÂŁ26 a couple. But if you want it easy, and want to make absolutely sure you don't miss anything, pay the ÂŁ26

Our guide Colin was absolutely brilliant... a total authority on everything to do with the Titanic but also completely hilarious and charming. The time flew by in his company and our party of 2 adults and 5 children aged 10 to 17 just loved it all. Best guide I have ever met... anywhere in the world.

I've been on quite a few walking tours, but this has to be one of the very best. Two hours in the expert, humorous and knowledgeable company of Colin took my family group from the birth of Titanic in the minds of the architects, designers and management of Harland and Wolfe at their (now beautifully restored) original offices, through where she was made and then launched, and then finally to the dry dock where she was finished and from where she left Belfast for the first and last time. He handled our many questions with humour and insight. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in Titanic. We actually enjoyed this much more than the Titanic Museum.

No-one turned up to give us this tour, we had paid in advance and stood waiting for quite some time. We were unable to get in touch with anyone to find out if it was going ahead, and no-one responded to the voicemail that we left. We eventually received an apology email at 22.55 that evening and later a refund. We walked to the dry dock ourselves to have a look, and it is now closed off, you cannot gain access to it anymore, so the advertising for this tour is inaccurate & misleading.

We took our son to Belfast as a surprise trip for his 18th birthday as he’s always had an interest in the Titanic story We visited the Titanic centre and learned a great deal but the walking tour was amazing. Our tour guide Rob was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it was packed with the most amazing facts and was deeply moving. This is a must do tour!

If I go on the Titanic Walking Tour, will I need to buy a ticket for the Titanic Experience?
I want to learn as much as possible in a one-day visit to Belfast. Thanks
