      A grand day out.
Enjoyed a very good day with Paddy Wagon Tours to Dunluce Castle, the Giants Causeway and Dark Hedges. Richard was our driver/guide and he was excellent. Very informative and kept everyone on schedule. The Fullerton Arms for lunch was fine (and coped very well with the numbers) but on a nice day a picnic lunch would have been better. Can’t fault Paddy Wagon or Richard. Highly recommended.

Great value tour - would recommend!
We would thoroughly recommend this very good value tour. It was a comfortable, clean coach and the driver Aidan was great. Very helpful, lots of commentary and wit. We visited the Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle (beautiful!) and Giants Causeway (a must see!). We were lucky to have a sunny day, the scenery is absolutely stunning! It was well paced although the lunch stop was late - the last before returning to Belfast - so we didn't eat until about 2.30pm. Have dropped a star as the food at the pub wasn't great (pie with champ was actually pie with fries!). It was quick service though (all efficiently preordered on the coach earlier in the day) and wouldn't let that put you off, just maybe consider bringing a packed lunch. Thank you Aidan for a great day and happy memories :)

      Poor form paddywagon
Booked this tour 6 months in advance and was very excited. After the first email of the booking we never received another so when my older mother caught Covid on our Ireland trip we went through all of our plans and did the responsible thing and canceled all of our bookings so as to keep others safe. Due to the length of time between booking and our trip this tour plus the stress of an overseas senior illness this one tour was forgotten in all of the chaos until we received an email from paddywagon artfully sent after the 24 hour cancellation option was past - only 16 hours before our tour. Contacted the company to let them know that we no good faith could attend with a Covid positive 72 year old and asked for them if there was any possibility to cancel. They said we could not and that we should still take the tour. IRRESPONSIBLE AND POOR PRACTICE PADDYWAGON! While we understand a 24 hour cancellation policy in any other situation than a dangerous contactable illness this was the ONLY company that did not work with us. Maybe we should have gotten on the wagon and shared It with all of the other folks on holiday (never!) It was too little of an amount to put in through insurance at this stage but it was enough to make us adamant in sharing in every single review site we possibly can letting folks know never to book with this company. We travel extensively both singularly and with groups and will make sure that everyone in our personal sphere also knows the same.

Shameful driver - should not be allowed to guide a tourist bus
Driver/ guide Gerry spent the tour increasing tensions between catholics and Protestants thinking it was funny rather than promoting the beauty of (Northern) Ireland. Constant comments for 6 hours about “I’m not welcome here” “all catholics are Irish, all protestants are British”, “I wouldn’t be served in the pubs here”, “these flags are being flown to make Irish people like me uncomfortable”. Totally inappropriate. He thought he was funny because some people laughed, but if he heard the chatter down the bus he’d realise how uncomfortable he made many people and how he detracted from the beauty of Northern Ireland we had all come to see.

Great day out, but see tip re lunch.
(One star less for choice of restaurant to take us to ) We started the day with pick up from the side of Europa Hotel in Belfast and a day tour visiting various locations including Giants Causeway & Dark Hedges . Great host Angelina and Michael the driver were both brill . Just don’t eat at the Hedges Hotel it’s a buffet served to you and is low quality slop & overpriced at £16.95 each with an overpriced bar for drinks. We were starving by 2pm so ate it , but next time I will take a packed lunch or eat at the pub at the Giants Causeway it looks much nicer and better quality .The tour itself is good value and fun . With loads of little bits of info and a bit of history thrown in which was very helpful & interesting We were told to look for a big green bus, but they also use black mini buses, so if waiting for pick up you know )

      Amazing trip to Giants Causeway
Rachel and Darren brought us around Belfast. They gave us a wonderful taste of Northern Ireland while we were at Port for a cruise, spending time at Giant's Causeway and getting some photo stops at Dunluce Castle, the rope bridge and out for lunch. We had a great time, thank you for it!

      Belfast Giants Causeway Tour
We had an extra day in Belfast and thought we would take the opportunity to see some countryside with the Belfast to Giants Causeway tour. I had left it until last minute and therefore the other company I’d intended to book with was sold out. This tour was more expensive and included less stops. For that reason alone I would recommend booking another company. Also of note is that the bus comes from Dublin and then collects more passengers in Belfast. It would be a very long day if you take this from Dublin. Would be much too long waiting in the bus. At each stop you are waiting an extra 10 minutes for latecomers but warned not to be late so you end up being on the bus for 20 min each stop if you are trying to stick to the schedule. The lunch stop should be advertised in the itinerary, again I wouldn’t recommend as there is not any other option for lunch should you decide not to order from the specified stop. The picnic area is a pub carpark. Really could be a much nicer location. The driver was friendly and good humoured but felt his commentary was lacking. Only real detail was about the troubles, nothing on dunluce castle, nothing about the causeway and nothing about the dark hedges. He’d mentioned earlier in the day that a black taxi tour was available from Belfast but never mentioned it again. The people coming from Dublin had an hour free time in Belfast but were given absolutely no guidance about what they could do or see in that time. All that being said her had a lovely day but that’s owing to the spectacular scenery and sights not really down to the tour company. It’s also overpriced in comparison to other options so I’d recommend shopping around for other operators.

The Day we went to Dunluce.
We took the day trip from Belfast to Dunluce Castle, The Giant's Causeway and The Dark Hedges, stopping for lunch at a local pub, the Fullerton Arms. On a day of trying weather conditions, our driver/guide, Dave, kept us informed and entertained with his commentary and we found the day to be of great value. We were picked up on time, driven safely and lunch which was pre-ordered on the coach was served promptly by pleasant staff in a welcoming inn. The Irish music that was playing when Dave was not commentating was a bit of a cliche but, nevertheless, great fun and we had a wonderful time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Belfast to Giant's Causeway July 2024
We took the tour from Belfast to Dunluce Castle, The Giant's Causeway and then The Dark Hedges. Our driver was absolutely brilliant. He was outside The Europa Hotel at least 20 minutes before he was due to set off. He was friendly and funny. He was knowledgeable and I have learnt so much about the history of the area. The scenery is stunning we had plenty of time to look around at each stop. They have a pub that they stop in for lunch along the route. We didn't purchase lunch but we had a drink in the bar and the food looked lovely. My only suggestion is that they should put the lunch stop on their website and post the menu so customers can make a decision to purchase lunch or bring their own ahead of time. We would definitely do another tour to see more of the area.

      Great experience
Slight delay to start time, but apologies accepted. We, a couple, throughly enjoyed our tour today. Rachel was very informative and amusing. Mark our driver was also very interactive with us. We didn't participate in lunch so can't comment. Weather not too bad given that June is now April 2024!! Throughly recommend Paddy Wagon tours. Big high five Rachel & Mark.

      Don't take the risk
We were so excited for our Belfast Giants Causeway Tour. The info email account was so helpful before booking. Answered so many questions for us and helped us reserve a car seat for our 17 month old for the tour, for safety. We had high hopes. Day of the tour, a small van shows up, not the Paddywagon bus, and everyone files in. We get on to realize there is no car seat for our daughter. The two tour operators of the van were very sweet, calling Paddywagon and trying to work out what to do. She finally says that the company told her that the large coach bus from Dublin was coming through in 15minutes and we should get off the van and wait for the bus, that our car seat is probably on there. We did just that. THE BUS NEVER CAME. We waited an hour for a no show. I called Paddywagon and the guys who answer the phones have no clue what's going on, and they tell you they are the only person there, there's no management or anyone to help. He said he would try and call around and call me back. When he called me back he admitted he could not get a straight answer about what was happening and suggested we go about our day and email for a refund. We were so upset. We paid to fly to Belfast and stay the night just for this tour, a refund on the tour wasn't going to get us back all of that wasted money. I emailed them right then on the street, 10am Belfast time. I never got a response. I emailed 7 times over the course of a week and a half and I NEVER got a response. I even tried another email account I found too. NOTHING. They were soooo responsive and helpful when they wanted my money, but ghosted me when they screwed up. I finally got someone to refund me after multiple international calls (and fees) to the number. Only refunds of the tour of course, not all of the other money we had to waste to scramble after they stranded us though of course. This gal was able to tell me that she found out the bus from Dublin was apparently FULL and just decided not to stop. No one called us or anything and just left us waiting on the street with a baby like idiots. My husbands heartbroken as Giants Causeway was on his bucket list and we never got to see it.

A must see (even better with Richard as your guide)
Richard was the best! He will keep you entertained and educated throughout the day! Lots of stops in between so plenty of time for snacks and bathroom breaks. Could’ve spent more time at Dunluce Castle but had to hit the road for more sightseeing.

Rushed at the rope bridge. The 1 hr time allocated was barely enough to walk to and from the bridge site fast. Unfortunately due to a landslide we could not cross the bridge. I would recommend 1hour 30 mins here.

We enjoyed the 1hr 30 mins allocated for the giant's causeway. More than enough to soak in the magestic ambiance of this wonderful world heritage. Amazing!!

We had a kind tour guide and bus driver. He was organised and punctual.

After booking on 22nd July through trip advisor, and the payment for the tour immediately taken from my bank account, I received confirmation that all was good.

On arriving in Belfast for one day to do the tour no operator turned up at the confirmed pick up location. On investigation said company (paddy wagon tours) had not yet re-opened since covid 19 lockdown restrictions. Therefore the tour was never going ahead but trip advisor advertised and confirmed my booking. Unsure who’s at fault? Trip advisor or the company, either way, standing in Belfast with two children in tow awaiting a tour of the Giants Causeway that was never going to happen was not a pleasant experience. Now the battle to get reimbursed!

We waited for 45 minutes at the meeting point. No bus arrived. We had to call three times after anybody replied the call. Then we got told it is cancelled. They told nobody of the customers about it. Be careful this is a scam! The concierge of the Hotel Europa also told us, that this is happening all the time.

Two friends and I last minute booked a tour with the Paddywagon and it was a day I will never forget!! Minus the gorgeous views we got to see, our tour guide Richard O’Brien made our day that much better! He was timely, extremely knowledgeable about the areas we visited, and knew how to crack a good joke. Would highly recommend this tour, it will not disappoint!

Took this tour August 23, 2019. Bus left on time at 9:45 and headed straight to Dark Hedges. We were given 20 min for photos there but it takes several minutes to walk to the Hedges from where the bus is allowed to park. It was very crowded and not easy to get pics without other tourists around. We ran back to the bus after taking a few shots.
Next was the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge. We had about an hour and 15/hour 30 min here which was needed and still felt like not enough time since it’s a long walk to the bridge and then you wait in line as each side crosses. This was a beautiful spot! My favorite of the three. Could have easily spent another hour or two here. After the bridge was a lunch stop. I don’t know the name of the place but the food was delicious! Definitely get the Guinness stew! So good!! We had 30 min for lunch and again, with long lines, it was rushed.
After lunch we headed to the Giants Causeway. We also had about an hour/hour and a half here but definitely not enough time to walk around and see everything. Also very crowded and hard to get good pics. There is a bus that will take you up and down for a pound each way but buses are crowded. Definitely saved us time though for the way back. After the causeway was a quick stop on the road to get pics of the Greyjoy castle from GoT.
I recommend this tour if you’re short on time and don’t mind making quick stops at these locations. I think the main issue is that the tour starts in Dublin so they have to be on the road back to Dublin to drop those guests off by a certain time. If you can find a tour originating in Belfast so that you will have more time at each location I would highly recommend that. We were not aware that this bus would be starting and ending in Dublin. Overall we enjoyed the time that we had. Bus was clean and driver was friendly.

We had received a message informing us the meeting time was earlier than stated when booking so we arrived at this time, the coach didn't show up for another 40 mins after this time due to road closures thanks to the Belfast Marathon. Not a good enough excuse in my opinion given the company should have known about these road closures. When they did arrive complete lack of information and instruction, nobody even checked our tickets. The tour driver was informative, and friendly. I found the music played on board a bit tedious, and the lunch needs more diverse vegetarian options. The stops are worth the long drive, and limited choice.
