We enjoyed this walking tour so much and hate to say it, but it was more interesting than the Dublin one. Steve gave a fascinating insight into Belfast's history without spending too much time about the 'troubles'. Overall, Steve sold us Belfast, which will hopefully learn from sad events in the past that tore apart families, communities and the city as a whole. Due to the friendly people of Belfast, we feel it has a bright future and Steve's walking tour explains how we shouldn't forget the past but learn important lessons to achieve peace, equality and prosperity for all. Thank you Steve!

He revealed hidden corners and brought out colourful figures from the city’s past. Nothing was too much trouble - on a chilly damp morning he even had hand warmers ready to combat the cold!

A hearty shout out for DC tours, and my superb guide, Steve, a guy who’s not only passionate about local history but the people who made it here. Steve has a talent for making history come to life as a story worth pulling up a chair to take in and savor. Slowly. Most visitors to Belfast likely arrive here with plans to learn more about the two Ts: its Titanic history and “Trouble”d past. There’s so much more here worth discovering which would otherwise be lost without a good guide. Steve exceeded my expectations, connecting a smattering of small dots laid over the city, from its geological significance and favorability for trade to the ethnic groups that have called Northern Ireland home and how historical events across the Channel impacted life here for so many generations in so many many different ways. I found particularly interesting his correlations to American history, being a Yank myself, and realized how intimately our histories, and that of this particular region, are tied together as well. My favorite part of the tour was seeing Steve interweave current day life in Belfast for young people with historic events in a matter of fact way, for everyone has a story worth telling. I can only imagine, for a long time local, how much fun it is to bring these stories to new visitors with few expectations like myself and watch our eyes open wide as we realize how much is here to discover, if only you have some threads and knowledgeable hands to weave it all together. Outstanding job!!

Steve gave us a wonderful tour and historical overview of Belfast. He was so informative and welcoming of all questions. As it was my first day in Belfast, it gave me a good overview of the layout of the city and places I wanted to go back to and see in depth. It was such a worthwhile tour.
