      A fun afternoon in Belfast
My friend and I are currently touring Northern Ireland by motorcycle and I received a link from my wife advising me about this tour and noting that our last chance to attend was in just 3 hours time. As we like these type of tours and after a short discussion we decided to reschedule our day so I booked the tour online which was easy and we set off back to Belfast to meet at the specified point, we weren't disappointed. Our guide Barney was waiting for us at the meeting place at 1 p.m. and advised us we were the only two on the tour so off we set. the tour was interesting informative and fun and lasted a little over 2 hours at an easy walking pace. We really enjoyed it and was particularly impressed that Barney had turned up to guide just the 2 of us , as often some would think it not worth the effort.. Many thanks Barney for an excellent afternoon

      Informative and Fun
Hotels, clocks, pubs, fountains and water pipes - all aspects of Belfast’s history covered in two hours. The famous and the unknown gems of the city centre brought to life in a very entertaining way by our guide Barney. Highly recommended

If Buildings could talk tour Belfast
Had the pleasure of taking this tour on Saturday the 11th of July. Incredible value for money with so many nuggets of information I didn’t know about Belfast and it’s rich history. The tour was professionally delivered in an entertaining way by our tour host Barney. Highly recommend and I will be recommending this to my family who live overseas when they come to visit.

This is a very interesting tour of Belfast. Barney has done a lot of research on the buildings, their history and the characters associated with them. He is great 'craic' and gives an enjoyable, fun insight into the city. Despite the Belfast rain trying to dampen things, we had a great time and would highly recommend this tour for locals and visitors.

We have done a lot of walking tours in various citys on our travels across the world but "If Buildings Could Talk Tour Belfast" was by far the best tour I've ever done.
Barney is a natural and exceptionally good and very entertaining and funny.
On our tour one of the locals passing by added in his "bit of knowledge"and Barney had a good bit of friendly banter with him.
I would highly recommend anyone to take this tour. Not only tourists but anyone from Northern Ireland..you will learn a lot of new information and enjoy the craic along the way.
    Cant rate highly enough.
I grew up a quarter of a mile from Barney many years ago and our familys are great friends. Anyone meeting Barney for the first time will instantly warm to his friendly, welcoming and witty nature.
He has some wonderful story's to tell.
It was an absolute pleasure to do and the time flew in.
Thank you very much Barney 😊
5 STARS. If there were more you would get them lol 😊

Barney obviously enjoys delivering his tours, we had an enjoyable time learning about a few corners of Belfast that we hadn't visited before even though we are from NI. The quirky stories about various bars and other buildings were entertaining and surprising. We would recommend this tour for anybody looking for a well researched down to earth view of the city

We're from Belfast and have passed the buildings on this tour many times, but we learnt so much we didn't know. It's all there under your nose, but sometimes it takes a character like Barney to bring it out! He was great craic and very knowledgeable. You can tell he loves what he does. It was refreshing that the Troubles was not the focus of all the stories - there's a lot more to Belfast's history than bombs and bullets (though these figured occasionally also!). We went on the tour shortly after lockdown eased, and it was great to be out in the city again in a safe environment.

I work in Belfast and went on the tour as I had a visiting friend and I picked this tour as it fitted in with our activities in the city that day. So I really didn't know to expect. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Stories about events and people that happened in buildings I pass regularly and never knew. It was entertaining and informative. This isn't a solely historical or conflict tour though both feature. Barney is an entertaining guide providing glimpses of Belfast's architectural past with humour and intrigue. I recommend this tour.

Thank you for the lovely review. It is always nice to hear from people who know the city and they still enjoyed it and heard about things they didn't know. As a new walking tour it gives me a boost to get reviews like this. Thanks again. Barney.

A very insightful tour delivered by a friendly, well informed guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Brian. While clearly passionate and knowledgable about the history of Belfast’s city centre buildings, he was also very welcoming and entertaining. I would recommend this tour to anyone including new travellers to Belfast and more local folk who wish to be better acquainted with the city and its history.

A really interesting way to discover some of the colour and history of this great city. Barney was an excellent guide and host, fillinmg the full two hours with information and stories (as well as some reasonably brisk walking between locations). Definitely a recommended tour.

Thank you very much Mark for taking the time to leave a review, it's very much appreciated and a great help to me. As for the brisk walking, that's not the first time I have been told to slow down a bit, I need to pay more attention.

Excellent tour with some great local knowledge. Some very interesting insights on building around the city. Barney uses the buildings as the start to stories (only locals would know) and puts it into the context of the time with some good humour! Highly recommend

I’ve lived in Belfast for 41 years and thought I knew it, but today’s fantastic tour with Barney highlighted how little I actually did know! From start to finish Barney regaled our walking group with the most informative and entertaining stories. From personal anecdotes to general knowledge the two hours flew by. I’ve never done a walking tour of the city I live in but this one is highly recommended and a brilliant way to find out what’s under your nose! Barney is a very warm and personable guide and I’ll be encouraging friends and family to do his tour.

Barney was incredibly friendly and had some great stories on the history of some of Belfast’s most notable buildings. Really different from any tour we’ve done before. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, even locals looking for something different to do on a weekend.

Thank you Phoebe for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words. "Really different from any tour we’ve done before" I am glad to hear that. This was my aim when creating the tour, there are a lot of great walking tours in Belfast so I wanted something different and interesting. Thank you so much for the recommendation.
