Come hungry and you’ll leave stuffed. We enjoyed about 8 dishes at 5 stops. The only criticism would be a lack of history of Belfast.Written 21 September 2023

We have done lots of food tours around the world but never a one that was so personable, warm & friendly. Clearly Ciara has built up solid personal relationships with many quality dining establishments in Belfast & can actually amend the tour based on season & taste.
We would defiantly recommend this tour & our regret was to do it on our final day, as we then couldn’t re visit the venues this time.

Had a wonderful time with Trevor as our guide on this tour, which was a mix of history, walking and food tastings. Enjoyed the tour as well as the entire experience from the customer service from the company when booking my tour. Tried the only whisky I really enjoyed here on the tour! This company is perfect for those on cruise ships, if you can not make it into port, they are very good about giving you credit to use anytime in any city they have tours in for 2 years from the date of your cruise. Very good company to do business with! Fun mix of people on our tour as well.

We have just completed the secret food tour of Belfast with our guide Paul. This was the perfect way to spend 4 hours on our girls weekend in Belfast. The tour mixes wonderful food and drink experiences with some history of the city. It takes you to places which you might not find on your own. From delicious cannoli, to Irish stew, oysters, Guiness, cider, whiskey .. and the best sausages I’ve ever tasted .. a word of advice, maybe skip dinner! Paul was a fantastic guide giving us lots of insights into the history of the places we visited. We’ve done a few secret food tours across the world, and can highly recommend this fairly new edition of Belfast .. worth every penny .. thank you Paul

Aside from initial difficulty in finding the tour meeting point on the grounds of the vast and organised chaos of Belfast City Hall, this was a superior food and tour experience from the very get go. The tour guide David D. quickly made us dozen or so Americans feel immediately welcome and at ease amidst the Noon rush of Belfast. This tour is well organised within a contained area of the city, and was extremely generous in food and drink, with just the correct amount of history and descriptive presentations interspersed. The portions, variety, and order of events were spot on, and the accommodations were mostly spacious and cognitive and adaptive of the needs of the group. This truly was an enjoyable experience, which David D., who I came to find out was conducting his first official tour solo ! (I really was convinced from the start he was a seasoned veteran, as he clearly had me fooled with his seamless and knowledgeable presentation style and skills) knocked it out of the park in terms of hospitality, professionalism, and coordination of the activities. Long story short, this was unequivocally in the top 5 experiences, out of dozens I did over 12 complete days in the South and North of Ireland. This is an absolute must in any complete visit to Belfast City !

We booked our tour through Viatour. Our guide, Trevor, was fantastic. He took us around central Belfast, giving us plenty of history and stories about the city and its history.
The food we tasted was varied and delicious. Highlights were hot chocolate to die for, some of the best oysters I’ve ever tasted, a bowl of fantastic Irish stew washed down with Guiness and to finish it all off, a glass of Irish whiskey.
The tour took around 3 hours and we loved every minute of it.

Fabulous - informative; fun and friendly tour not only of the food delights but Belfast on every level. Only 8 persons total which meant really intimate experience and our 6 family and friends mixed well with the other 2. Ages 21 to 60 were equally well entertained.

As a resident of Belfast though this tour would be something different to do. Our guide Ciara was very knowledgeable of the area, she highlighted buildings/ business & the history of them,
I difently see Belfast City in a different light It was also great to meet people from various parts of America & Yorkshire.

Having been on a secret food tour of New York many years ago we decided on our fourth visit to Belfast we’d do one here.
Paul was a great guide with a good mix of of history about Belfast and stories about the city. The mix of places was just right and gives you lots of ideas of where you would like to spend more time at.Even though we’d been several times before the places we visited were new and gave a great picture of the excellent food businesses there are in Belfast and how the city is developing. I think that there are so many interesting places to visit we will definitely be back again.
I would recommend the secret food tour to anyone - even if you’ve been to Belfast before and think you know the city!
Paul is an asset for the team and I would recommend joining a tour with him.

We had Paul as a tour guide and he was fantastic. He gave us plenty of history, brought us to fantastic locations that we wouldn’t have found ourselves, and showed us special parts of Belfast that made me feel more connected and enthralled in the city. Would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone passing through!
