- Suzanne N0 contributionsTake This OneStunning views, soul cleansing atmosphere. Our guide Jamie was a very knowledgeable and friendly man. We enjoyed his company and all his information.Written 21 September 2024
- thomashS9672KX0 contributions10/10I did the Coastal villages tour on my last day in Scotland and it was definitely a great way to end the trip. We had Jaime as our guide and he was outstanding. From the places we went, to the abundant knowledge he had of those place's is what made this tour memorable. From the beautiful coastline of Gardenstown and Crovie, to the industry and food in Peterhead, and finally the large ruins of Slains Castle on the coast. Jaime truly made this a memorable experience. This was by far my favorite tour while I was in Scotland. 10/10. I recommend going to the Maritime museum in advance and you will understand some of the history that is being talked about on the tour.Written 20 September 2024
- 126kerryj0 contributionsA fun tour of NE ScotlandOur driver was a wealth of information and provided a very interesting and fun experience. The small size of the group made it nice.Written 8 September 2024
- sharonwZ9356WY0 contributionsWe highly recommend this tour!Jamie was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area. The tour took us through the beautiful countryside to many stunning coastal towns. We finished the tour by walking to the ruins of Slains Castle. It was a wonderful day!Written 17 August 2024

- floridame20 contributionsBest Tour We TookWe traveled all over the UK and Ireland in May and June 2024. This “Coastal Villages of Aberdeenshire Tour” was by far the best one we took. There were 4 of us traveling together from the USA. All seniors and cousins. Jacqueline made our tour so exciting. Interesting, and informative. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. She was the best and went out of her way to make us all comfortable and made sure to take us to the best stops. The stops we made were simply spectacular. Such unspoiled beauty. We met some others on our tour and shared our stories, laughs and photos. This is one tour you don’t want to miss.Written 20 June 2024
- 11alisab0 contributionsRemote port towns, views and a great experienceThis was an AMAZING tour! We got to experience areas we would have never gone! Remote port towns, views to die for and a lovely tour guide. We done a variety of tours but really prefer the small van tours! I can’t say enough about this tour and would encourage anyone who is looking to get out of the city and likes nature to book this tour!Written 20 June 2024
- DawnEliz6540 contributionsExcellent guide, stunning sceneryJacqueline was an incredible guide, such a depth and breadth of knowledge, as well as a lovely warm personality, made this trip around the stunningly beautiful Aberdeen coastline such a pleasure. Would highly recommend this trip to see parts of the landscape you may kot even know exists. Well worth the money.Written 1 June 2024
- CLNYC850 contributionsAmazing Taste of Scotland Experience with JamieWe had an incredible day with our knowledgeable and fun guide Jamie. We started off in the charming small village of Fittie and visited Glen Garlioch Distillery, an ancient stone circle and Castle Fraser. All along the way Jamie had Sottish treats and beverages for us to sample. There was plenty of time to enjoy each stop and not too much time driving. Overall, it was a wonderful way to spend a brilliant sunny day exploring the area near Aberdeen. Highly recommend.Written 31 May 2024

- danah8100 contributionsYes! Want to do all 6 tours now.Second tour 2 days in a row. Different guide and both were A+ and different experiences. I wish I could stay and do the remaining 4 tours. The authentic drinking place you go on this tour is a distillery, the rest of the food is local food packed in a picnic basket that is shared at the various stops like a castle and stone circle.Written 20 April 2024
- Christine H0 contributionsSo many beautiful placesMany thanks to Jamie for a fantastic time in what would have otherwise been just another wet and wild day. We would never have seen as much as we did without his knowledge of the area and the roads - he packed in so many diverse places and some interesting anecdotes. Picturesque villages, views, wild life, folklore, history & award winning food (fish and chips!). A day well spent despite the awful weather conditions. Great value!Written 4 April 2024
- AmyWags0 contributionsLovely Day Trip from AberdeenThis was a lovely tour…we were able to visit places we would have had difficulty finding on our own. Plenty of time at each stop to get out and explore and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun!Written 9 September 2023

Overall we had a nice day. Balmoral was absolutely beautiful and even though you can only view the ballroom of the interior of the castle, the grounds are amazing and could take you far more than two hours if you wanted to see it all. Included in the ticket for balmoral is an extremely informative audio guide. Other than balmoral, the other stops on the tour were so so. You could take them or leave them and I don't feel the tour would be all that different. Our tour guide was not very talkative and did not provide a lot of information to us about the stops or the history of the local area. Additionally the layout of the van was more like a minivan than a coach bus so it could be an awkward seating arrangement depending on how many people are in your group or how many people are on the tour. It's a convenient way to get to balmoral from Aberdeen if that is what you're looking for. If you have another way to get to balmoral or if balmoral is not a must see for you, then this not a tour that I would recommend.

The trip was beautiful and the guide was lovely. I did not understand why i paid for the castle entrance and only went inside a small room full of pictures. I did not enjoy just to see pictures i can see on the magazine. I think i paid too much to see nothing inside the castle.

Had a wonderful day. Our guide and driver Alex was amazing. He ha a lot of knowledge of local history and stories, but never too much. Also a very good driver. On narrow windy roads I often get sick, not with him, so another plus for that. During our trip he also played Scottish music, which I really enjoyed.
Balmoral was as expected beautiful, and I highly enjoyed the surrounding gardens.
Stops underway was also very nice. Can highly recommend this trip.

Enjoyed the small group and saw all on itinerary but might have been better if she had pointed out certain noteworthy sites on the roadside before we got to them not after we had whizzed past them. Would definitely do it again. Balmoral is a treasure and not to be missed.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Alex our guide was fantastic. He has a textbook knowledge of local history. He took the time to point out things that we did not notice on our own. He went above and beyond in all aspects.

Balmoral Pyramid. On the grounds of Balmoral. Walk up a mile long trail to see The Pyramid in Memory of Albert Prince Consort to Queen Victoria. The View is breathtaking. The Pyramid is perfectly positioned in Memory of the Queen Victoria's beloved Husband.
The pyramid is well made and standing around. All free no charges to walk and view the monument.

Alex was our tour guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour to Balmoral and Deeside a great day. He welcomed questions and obviously knew the area very well. Going to Balmoral Castle is such a good experience with the beautiful grounds and the entry into the ballroom. It’s a very picturesque castle. We stopped in several places after the castle which were very scenic. Couldn’t ask for a better day.

My wife and I did this tour with Jamie. He was so easy going and extremely knowledgeable of the area. Had a lot of stories to tell. He gave us ample time to visit Balmoral Castle and for lunch. Even took us to some hidden waterfalls, so cool!

Do we actually get to see Braemar castle. This one of my primary stops since I am a "Farquharson". I want to tour the castle and take pictures.
