Brilliant 3-day tour of Speyside's finest!
This was an unbelievable tour & experience, thanks in no small part to Roger, our guide. Rabbie's runs a highly professional operation: impeccably timely, brilliantly selected range of distilleries & driving routes through the Cairngorms and supremely informative with respect to Scotland's history. My friend and I can't rave enough about our experience. There's no question we'll be back within the year for the Islay tour. Roger, we can't thank you enough -- you're a gem of a person and Rabbie's is lucky to have you. I've got a new appreciation for Scotland, its people and its famous elixir. Just awesome!

Perfect day trip outside of Aberdeen!
This is a perfect day trip if you're looking to get out of the city for a while. Our tour guide, Neil, was very nice and extremely well-read on the history of the area. We spent the day driving and stopping at a few key points in the area (highlighted below). Though it may be greener at other times of the year, the landscape was breathtaking, even in winter. Highly recommend!

It’s a must to do. Loads to see and enjoy!
We enjoyed it all. Our guide/driver Jim was just great. Gave us lots of information and didn’t mind us asking a few questions as well. So easy to chat with and was also a brilliant driver very smooth ride. Commented on points of interest throughout our journey. We had a couple of interesting stops along the way to our destination of Loch Ness! One stop was Culloden the battlefield hauntingly beautiful. Loch Ness for lunch and option of ferry ride on the loch which we did and certainly worth it. Great trip back with a couple of comfort stops. What a wonderful day. Will certainly remember it and definitely recommend. Also great choice of music on the bus Jim. Something for everyone.

      Explore the Highlands beauty
To get from Aberdeen to Loch Ness takes a bit of time but the scenery makes it worthwhile. The tales told by Jim our guide also made for an exceptionally interesting trip. The boat trip on Loch Ness was breathtaking. The tour offers something for everyone and was fun even as a solo traveller.

      One day adventure ✨️
We had a wonderful experience visiting Highlands and Loch Ness with Rabbie's! Our guide Jim was very helpful and friendly, he taught us many interesting cultural and historical facts about Scotland. We took a boat trip and, even though we didn't manage to spot Nessie, the view there was spectacular and "Highlands hot chocolate with whiskey" was a great thing. We recommend this trip to everyone ~!

A day to remember, a tour refer to this thers - and all because of a phenomenal tour guide.
Doug was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge, keen sense of humour, ability to communicate with the tour group, and absolute dedication to giving us the best possible experience was everything I could’ve hoped for. He instilled a love for Scotland, and empathy for the history. The stops along the way were fantastic! Everyone loved meeting Dougall and Hamish the Highland cows. Thank you Doug, your patience and professionalism made the very long day a day to remember for years to come. ~Irma

      Great trip
A fascinating site full of history and adventure: wonderfully maintained and well staffed who were both engaging and interesting. Not a hike for the infirm to get to the castles.

      The magic of Royal Deeside
We won the “Jim trifecta” on this trip, fortunate as we were to have him as our guide for all three Rabbies tours over a three week trip to Scotland. This last was in our opinion the best as it showcased extraordinary natural wonders through the day, each one intelligently and entertainingly narrated by our guide. Sights difficult to describe and impossible to forget. In short, Rabbies tours are excellent and Jim has found his true calling, as a tour guide extraordinaire.

Speyside whiskey and so much more
We were fortunate to once again have the charming Jim for our guide through lovely Speyside, home to many of the worlds most renowned single malt whiskey. His insight into the history of the area added greatly to our tour experience. Watching whiskey barrels be refurbished by experienced Coopers, who go through extensive training and are often children and grandchildren of Coopers who have come before them. Cardhu provided an excellent tour of the distillery and the process of making whiskey. Once again it was our tour guide, Jim, who made the long day fly by with interesting anecdotes. Loved this tour!

      More than fills a day
At some point in the beginning of the tour Jim, our guide said something along the lines that weather makes the difference between a good and a great tour. On this point I respectfully disagree and would instead say that is the quality of the tour guide that makes a tour truly special, and Jim is one of those tour guides that at every opportunity went above and beyond to make this one of the best day trips I have experienced while on holiday. At every stop Jim was knowledgeable and understanding, and his specific insights were crucial in getting better seats on the boat on the Loch or proving deeper understanding into the other pit stops along the way. I would greatly recommend this tour to anyone who has never experienced the Highlands Before as the scenery is awe inspiring and magical.

Unfortunately, this tour left quite a bit to be desired. The timings for stops were strange, with far too much time spent in certain stops and only five minutes in others, including Portsoy where there was an interesting shop selling marble. We also spent an inexplicable 30 minutes in Keith for coffee. Our group did have a number of people who had to be back by 6 pm to catch a train, but I would suggest that Rabbie’s make it clear that they probably shouldn’t do this tour next time as it meant the entire day was somewhat rushed and in some places we were literally racing to grab one or two photos before getting back on the bus. Moreover, an hour at the castle is ludicrous given it takes 20 minutes to walk there from the car park. Finally, one person on the tour was seemingly obsessed with seeing puffins to the point that it became silly and we had to start rushing to sites just for her. Perhaps the guide should have been a bit more circumspect about the prospects of actually seeing them because she would not let it go. All in all this is the first Rabbie’s tour I’ve not really enjoyed as it seemed like a lot of rushing about for one or two photo stops devoid of context or interest.

We enjoyed two trips with Rabbie's, the Loch Ness and thr North East coast one. We enjoyed both thoroughly and Jim was an excellent host and commentator. He provided a good balance between history, humour and also knew when not to talk so that everyone could enjoy the scenery uninterrupted. Many thanks for a memorable experience from Cyprus.

I did this tour with Alice and I can say she’s the one of the best guides I’ve ever seen. She’s made for this job. She is so friendly and funny and a good non-boring storyteller.
The tour includes some real nice sceneries, castles, towns, etc and you can spot dolphins, seals and puffins if you’re lucky!

Wonderful full-day tour. Saw an lot of beautiful scenery, lovely towns and villages, and wildlife. Not rushed and not so slow as to be boring. The guide, Neil, was entertaining, engaging, and professional. He made the tour even more fun and informative. Extremely good value, especially for a solo traveller.

The tour very much lived up to our expectations. Spectacular views and good walks. The driver was friendly, knowledgeable and witty.

We would like to have seen the puffins, but unfortunately they leave in August.
