About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- M4663BNandreav0 contributionsFabulous! Loved this tour!Fantastic tour! Mark, our tour guide was kind, attentive and a very very interesting person. His knowledge of history, current affairs and pop culture made the bus ride incredibly compelling. His background in film, music and communication contributed to stories that were fresh and nuanced. His music choices were broad and well selected to reflect his stories and the landscape. It goes without saying that the stops along the way were lovely and the scenery breathtaking. This tour is well worth it, especially if the weather is fine and you have a great tour guide as we did.Written 11 November 2024
- D2354AHfaraha0 contributionsTour from Glasgow with Jeff C.We did the "Oban, Glencoe, Highlands Lochs and Castle Day Tour from Glasgow". About the company: Booking was easy, the buses were clean and on time. The whole process was hassle free. About our Tour Guide: The tour with Jeff C. was fun, filled with a lot of stories and music. Between him and Mamie, we were thoroughly entertained. Jeff was knowledgeable. Every single song played had significance. The tour was well placed with the right stops and time. The trip was easy going and we have an album filled with amazing pictures of the trips. This was my first group your while my other friends have done similar trips before - but we all were of one consensus - this was "the best tour of our life" and we loved every minute and second of it. Jeff not only provided help during the tour, but was open to suggesting and recommending places in Glasgow thus giving a wholesome experience. Jeff, if you are reading this: Your humor, jokes and knocks were amazing. Keep shining like this always. Your energy is infectious and we are till on a Jeff High ;). FYI, we did your trip before Edinburgh ;). I have great memories of this trip! Thank you so much!!Written 10 November 2024
- alexbB1560JQ0 contributionsGreat your solo travelers!Rabbies tours are a must do for any traveler! Each and every stop was suitable for all ages and abilities. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is traveling solo (especially young females or students studying abroad). I am a 21 year old female and felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time with is my priority when choosing a tour. Ross was my tour guide and he was kind, informative, energetic, and knowledgeable. He really made the tour special! It’s a great way to see Scotland for the first time. I felt like every major sight I wanted to see on the 3 day isle of Skye tour we hit which is hard to accomplish with bigger tour groups. I would for sure book this company again. I can’t say enough good things!Written 10 November 2024
- Inspire7933490 contributionsGreat dayLong day but worth it. Our guide Sean was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is twelve hours with about three off the bus. We stopped many times to use toilets and get snacks and to see the sites. The views from the bus were amazing. Easy to get good pictures. Thank you for a wonderful day.Written 10 November 2024
- FarAway051797179430 contributionsGreat tour. Beautiful photo opps and magnificent highland scenery.Ross was incredibly informative and played great tunes on the bus. He was also an excellent driver. We had a great time. Thanks to Ross and Rabbies!Written 10 November 2024
- JMu69051970 contributionsEnjoyable Group TourVery informative day tour with Steve. Weather was sunny, which for Scotland and Northern Britian is not always guaranteed. My son and I enjoyed Vindolanda Roman military settlement.Written 8 November 2024
- Sightsee390171502850 contributionsA Great Way to Explore the HighlandsWe're a young portuguese couple and went on the tour with Sean. He has an amazing extensive knowledge of Scotland's history, traditions and tails. In the bus he shared lots of stories, had fitting Scottish music prepared for down time and always drove us safely. The tour was well prepared and when something unexpected happened (unexpected road closing), Sean was quick to find a workaround and keep the tour interesting. It was a real pleasure to get to know the Highlands with such a wonderful guide. The bus was confortable and had USB charging ports. Accomodations were booked by Rabbies - one of them was a charming B&B (Gisachan - Fort William), but the Portree one despite being clean, was not very good. In hindsight, we would have prefered handling the accomodation booking ourselves.Written 8 November 2024
- bilby20090 contributionsWell run day tourWell run day tour in a good sized vehicle with large windows. Well paced and nice areas to eat and have a meal. Guide was well informed and was excellent for the day tour. Timing and pace was fine on the day. We went into 1 castle and viewed a few others from outside. Comfortable day trip.Written 7 November 2024
- travelingmimi20180 contributionsAmazing Tour - Wonderful Guide! My Scottish friend, Anne, and I took this trip while I was visiting her (in Edinburgh). Anne grew up on Skye and I'd heard so much about it that I wanted to see for myself! This small bus tour (16 people) was perfect! The sights were spectacular; the weather (especially for November) was good (we even had one meal outdoors!) and our guide was great! Chaz was a wonderful driver - competent and careful - and gave a brilliant narration as we traversed the countryside. She told us about the areas of the country that we were passing through, mixed in with some Scottish/Engish history. Anne (the only other Scottish person on the bus!) later told me that she was impressed by the narration - high praise indeed from a native!Written 7 November 2024
- D1906XXsarahb0 contributionsOutstanding day trip! Outstanding guide!Fantastic day trip with our charming guide Dave! Yes, the day is long. But you see a ton of the country! And there are plenty of stops to keep you fresh. The boat cruise on Loch Ness was definitely worth it, guide Shawn made it entertaining and educational! Dave our Rabbie’s guide was everything one could wish for on such a tour: highly knowledgeable, friendly, charming, not too over the top, just right. Could not recommend Dave or Rabbie’s more highly!Written 7 November 2024

- Kris M0 contributionsWonderful TourWe had a wonderful day with Michael as our guide. We arrived at Donne as it was opening so avoided crowds. The drive through the highlands, Inveraray, seeing the lochs - all wonderfully scenic. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and personable and made the day even more special.Written 3 November 2024
- Freedom285961764800 contributionsGreat tour guide and gorgeous scenic views!Kenny was fantastic on our tour to the west highlands, lochs, and castles (he's funny, enthusiastic, and it doesn't hurt that he's a great singer too)! The tour definitely let me see an amazingly beautiful part of Scotland, and we had more than enough time at each stop. We even made a brief "detour" to see some highland cows, which was a wonderful surprise to me as I wouldn't have had any other way to go pet them otherwise :)) The Scottish music played throughout the drive really made everything all the more enjoyable too. Overall 10/10 (would give it an 11 if I could) trip!Written 2 November 2024

So many good things to say about this tour.
I'll start with the practical stuff. Our guide Roger picked us up in a mini-bus type deal which had nice big windows as well as air-con. Also the group we were a part of was a nice small size, for those who don’t like big groups. At the end of day one, he dropped us all outside our hotels for the night (those of us who made arrangements outside of Rabbies) and in the morning he picked us up for the second half of the tour. So no anxiety about finding places or being late for the tour bus. Throughout the two day trip Roger made frequent stops for comfort breaks that were nicely aligned with scenic stops where we could take some great pictures. All the things nervous travellers worry about were taken care of here.
As for the tour itself, wow. In two days Roger packed in a lot of places and a lot of information, having asked everyone beforehand if there was something we really wanted to see as he would make an effort to show it to us. There's not much to say about the scenery or the magic of the Highlands. It's an awe-inspiring place and you'll never get sick of taking in the sights. What made this tour so great was that Roger, clearly a seasoned guide, was just chock full of information and it wasn't just remembered factoids, it was the kind of knowledge that comes from being deeply invested in a subject. It was clear that we were being shown around by someone who has a deep and abiding love of his country and culture. There was a lot of sentiment between the layers of information (the music playlist that accompanied us on the tour was evidence of this).
If you've never been to Scotland and don't know where to start, book a tour with Rabbies.
Thanks Roger!

I've been to multiple mini tours throughout my life across diff continents and I can confidentely say that our tour guide Jeff was awesome and made our trip x1000times better. Of course the highland scenic views and visit to Loch Ness were truly amazing but Jeff topped up our trip. His great calming voice telling us all the fun facts and history, his choice of background music that he played throughout the drive made us appreciate the view even more. He was proactive by stopping the car and grabbing Peats in the wild to show us what it actually looked like. He was so chill and easygoing and had great sense of humor making us have a relaxing trip but at the same time took us to all the places and was super punctual. There was unexpected event due to road closure and we couldn't go to Glencoe but he handled it so well and we had such a good time as he took us to other nice places and didn't mind not going there.
Honestly he was the best tour guide I've ever had so thank you Jeff (rabbies tour you guys are lucky to have him as a tour guide)

We booked the 2 Day Loch Ness, Inverness and Highlands group tour with Rabbie's. First we would like thank Rabbie's for doing this tour with just the two of us despite the last minute cancellations they had. So what it was supposed to be a group tour became a private tour for me and my girlfriend.
On the other hand we were lucky to have Stefan as a guide and driver of our trip. He is super funny and has a deep knowledge of Scottish culture and history. He knows the best spots to take some pictures, to have lunch/dinner or just when to play the right songs inside the minibus. You notice that he prepares the trip thoughtfully and he never loses his smile. In this way, our experience could not be better: we learned, we visited, we laughed, we steered and we enjoyed in every corner of Scotland we stopped during the Tour.
We totally recommend it, we will repeat with another tour and with Rabbie's! Many thanks!

My husband and I went on this 2 day tour in early December 2022. There were 9 of us all together, from different parts of the world, on the 16 seater, very comfortable Mercedes small bus. We really weren't sure what to expect, as we had never booked a tour before, but as soon as we met our driver Stuart B, we knew were in for an amazing ride! Before each stop, Stuart shared stories and Scottish history, and played amazing music. Stops along the way were very interesting and beautiful and we had just the right amount of time to take photos and enjoy the scenery. This tour was the highlight of our short 5 day stay in Scotland and have to say that Stuart really made it an outstanding experience!

We fell in love with Edinburgh at first sight. From city to its people, we felt very much welcomed. We wanted to do tours in highlands and thats when rabbies came across. I must say at first we were very skeptical about tour companies as i had bad experiences before. But at last we wanted to give one last try and i must say it was one of the best decision. I would really like to thank rabbies for changing my decision about tour companies.
Me and husband toured with rabbies from Edinburgh on 22.06.21 and Graham was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make our experience very memorable. Through out the journey, he told us about Scotland history and also played Scottish music. Me and my husband enjoyed the bagpipe music so much that we have been listening every morning these days. And all this credit goes to you graham. We wouldn’t have asked for anyone than you. Because of graham and his hospitality, my sisters have planned to visit Scotland and they promised us to tour with rabbies only.
Once again thank you graham for going extra mile to enhance our trip. Also i wanted to tell rabbies that you have a gem (Graham) with you so never let him go.
Regards,
Sagar & Sunita (Couple from last seat)

Rabbie's took me on a 1-Day Highlands tour 3 yrs ago and when I decided to bring my family to experience Scotland, we booked the 2-Day Highlands tour. Dom was a FABULOUS tour guide. He was full of history knowledge and enthusiastic (even though I know it had to be the umpteenth time he's done this tour). I've been on 4 tours with Rabbie's-Edinburgh and every guide was excellent. If you take this tour, I HIGHLY recommend making your own arrangements for Best Western Palace Hotel and Spa. Make sure you book a river view. The view we had of Inverness Castle at night was picturesque, not to mention the water pressure in the shower was outstanding to decompress from a long day of traveling. You won't regret it! If this is your first time in the UK/Scotland, etc... the public restrooms are usually 50 pence to use so make sure you have pocket change. If Rabbie's is ever in an area I'm visiting, I'm definitely signing up for whatever they offer!

Our guide was Doug and he made sure we had an amazing time! This is for sure a great way to see the Highlands in a short time and when you aren’t keen on driving around there. The bus is comfortable, the tour guides are great, and you feel like you’re having a great experience whether you’re stopped somewhere or you’re just rumbling along on the bus. Doug was giving us great tidbits of facts and playing relevant music to make it all very atmospheric too! My roommate and I stayed at the Braeside B&B in Inverness for the overnight part and that was an adorable and very comfortable stay with an amazing breakfast in the morning. Definitely recommend this trip!

We knew we had to see Inverness and the Highlands to complete our Scotland visit. We were so happy that we chose Robbys for our tour. The small group bus and the talents of our driver and tour leader Peter, just call me Pete, made for a memorable trip and overcome an incredibly rainy 2nd day. We were apprehensive about so much time in the bus but the stops were very well spaced out and lasted a leisurely interval. We both enjoyed Pete”s repartee and his drive time playlists.

We travelled via rabbies tour for our trip to lochnees and Inverness, and it was our first time in Scotland. I could not even think of any other way to explore Scotland for the first time other than rabbies tour. Our tour guide and driver was Bruce M and he really made our Experience memorable.
He was kind of RJ for our mini flight cum bus group. He was playing music, telling us different stories along our way. Also, he was helping to take group pictures while we were stopping to see different views.

Right from the start of the journey I felt completely relaxed and comfortable with the way Gab drives. Absolutely was I immersed in the storytelling and above all I got to know more about Scotland than I previously had planned to. I totally would recommend Rabbie's tours. They're just amazing at what they do - they bring their experiences and passion to do the job. Just amazing.

Hello, I would like to do this tour with my boyfriend, but we will be coming from Australia and each have a suitcase up to 30kg. Do you have any options in terms of where we can keep our suitcases if we cant bring them?
Written 1 October 2019
Sorry for slow reply; day trip website info does specify small only luggage quota; trips with accommodation allow large size. I only think the Edinburgh office may have storage options. Mail them... they will be used to your questions. ( tip for AUSSIES used to everything BIG (!).... In Britain, everything is small.... you will need to lug your big, heavy suitcases up flights of stairs and much accom has little or no room for them, unless you choose your own accommodation with what you need, in mind. Ie, a lift would need to be in a hotel not b&b. Trips are worth it.

If you go into their website, they can arrange it for you or they have recommendations as to where you can book accommodation. I didn’t avail of this as I’ve seen it right after I booked our own place. Hope this helps!
