John gave a fantastic tour. He was very knowledgeable and had wonderful stories to tell on the drive. We had a small group, so he stopped a few bonus places including this wonderful castle on the beach. 5 stars

This was my second tour this week with Highland Experience. A couple days ago I went to St Andrews with Jamie who was an awesome guide, especially knowledgable about whisky! Today we went with John back to his native land of England. I’ve been on tours with John before (to Oban 2 years ago) he always goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience, taking photos of you and your group and working extra stops in to scenic and interesting places.

It was such a nice adventure to cross the border to England. Everything was really good and our tour guide John was just amazing! Taught us about the Scottish history, explained everything and was always super nice! :-)

I wanted to explore south of Edinburgh and also wanted to see Alnwick Castle. John, our tour bus driver, was great. He is new with company but lives in the area where the tour went to. He had the best local knowledge and stories, in addition to all the history of the area. It was great to see the most amazing castle in Alnwick Castle. This was like out of a fairytale or movie! Specially since we were able to watch children learn to fly to play Quidditch! The castle and gardens were incredible! You could spend hours lost in amongst the flowers and pathways. Melrose Abbey was hauntingly beautiful. John gave us more than enough time at all of our stops for us to explore and make memories. I loved being able to stop at both the English border plaque and Scottish border plaque for a quick picture! Having the local knowledge was instrumental in the enjoyment of our day! I loved every minute of it.

My friend and I did the Alnwick Day Trip earlier this month. It was fantastic!! Our guide Rich, was hilarious! He was warm, funny and open. He told us all about the area we traveled. Everything from History, Politics, War and Pop Culture. It was a wonderful experience.
I Highly Recommend!

Lizzie took us to several amazing stops including the great three hours at Alnwick. Appreciated her knowledge, calm demeanor, great driving skills and sharing of fun music. I highly recommend this day of fun in both England and Scotland!
