        sensational
What a truly superb experience, the show is fantastic and the staff couldn't be more helpful. My Wife had a medical emergency and it looked as if we would have to return to our Hotel, but after she had been attended to by a a paramedic, the Steward staff very kindly found us an alternative place to sit. It was a wonderful experience that we will never forget

Once we were off ~ it was a GREAT day!
Upon arriving in South Queensferry, our driver was no where to be found! Luckily, another tour guide had Alan Fee's (owner of Ecosse Executive - Day Tours) number and we were quickly communicating via text. We were told our driver was stuck in traffic (due to an accident ~ no fault of his) and would be there as soon as possible. As all are aware, on vacation "time is your currency" and we spent 1.5 hours of our 8 hour day (approximately 20%) waiting for Paul, our driver to arrive. Once onsite the vehicle was immaculate and Paul did a great job with the remaining 6.5 hours ~ but time lost, is time lost. Our first stop was a detour to Falkland village where scenes of Outlander were filmed and we were serenaded by a local gentleman. Paul made the remaining 80% of the day engaging, enjoyable, and customized to our interests, yet somewhat rushed as he kept us moving along. We viewed the Forth Rail Bridge, took pictures at the famous bridge on the 18th hole of the St. Andrews course, enjoyed lunch at a tavern in St. Andrews, visited the Dunfermline Abbey ruins, but not really sure we saw much of East Neuk or the coastline. We would have loved to have another 1.5 hour of our day with Paul to expand our knowledge of this beautiful country and be entertained along the way. We lost approximately 20% of our day due to a traffic accident and Alan has determined that no compensation at all will be provided. So in short ~ based upon other reviews ~ if all goes well you will have a GREAT time/tour, but if there are issues, do not expect to be compensated by Ecosse Executive - Day Tours.

        Best Tour Ever
We had the best time going to each of the Outlander sites. Our tour guy was the best. He knew about so many things Oulander, Edinburgh and many other movies. We listen to Scottish music traveling from site to site. We even had 3 boys with us ages, 9, 7, 4 and they were interested and tired by the end of the day.

Alan with Ecosse tours gave us an excellent day tour of Edinburgh. He picked us up at our hotel and we spent the day touring that included a nice dinner. We ended the day at the Military Tatoo. I highly recommend

        The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Edinburgh Royal military Tattoo. Having been several times for the last decade, I can honestly say that the show has changed a lot, and in my humble opinion, not for the better. The ambience and excitement is the same prior to the show, but where is the chap who used to have bNter with the crow3, "who's f t om America, who's from Chin, who's from England? Etc, mentions names big shout outs etc, and during the show introduce the acts, not just leave people to try and figure out where they come from. They used to have a kids choir, not NY more. What happened to all the military stuff? Where's the white helmets motorcycles, things of that nature, drill teams from America or somewhere. The mSs pipes and drums are the backbone of the show along with the Highland dancers. But honestly, it's been cut down to just over an hour now. And at £75 per ticket it's lost its audience. I've no doubt it will be sold out as per every year, but for those of us who have been going for years, it's not what this great show once was. Shame. Can't see me attending anytime soon, rather just go to the Fringe and a show. Bring back the military side of things and get it back to its roots. Bring back the commentator.

        Excellent service
His lordship Alan was a perfect host in our Day tour of Edinburg city including Roslyn chapel and military tattoo. Even though we weren’t expected to bow and curtsy in front of him his stories and knowledge of the area was excellent. Ha ha. I would highly recommend this company to my friends. Well done Alan.

Do not miss this in Edinburgh!
This is a not to be missed event. The music, marching and light show were amazing! We were in the last row of the stadium, but could see everything! The bagpipes and Scottish dancers were the highlight!

Last Minute Cancellation of a booked Tour
Our tour was to take place on June 10, 2023 at 9:00 AM. On June 9, 2023, at 10:18 AM Toronto time (3:18 PM London england time) We receivied an e-mail saying "Unfortunately your tour operator for Private Day Trip to St Andrews Dunfermline and the Fife Coast from Edinburgh had to cancel your booking." No other explanation was given. Needless to say this late notice left us no time to make other arrangements. Very disappointing. Trip advisor has refunded the cost of the tour.

        Most Wonderful Tour of Edinburgh
My wife and I had a half day City tour of Edinburgh. It was quite marvelous and unforgettable. We have taken private tours all over the world and this was one of the best tours ever. Alan, our driver and the company owner, met us promptly at the pier in a clean and comfortable van. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Edinburgh and all things Scottish. He has wonderful stories to share about each historical site that really brings things to life. Since we wanted to shop for some specific Scottish items, we chose not to go into many of the historical sites he took us to. He knew all the right shops for us to visit, where the goods were high quality, prices were fair and the shopkeepers very pleasant. He was very flexible, adjusting the typical tour schedule to meet our interests. All in all, it was a most enjoyable afternoon. You can’t go wrong with booking a tour with Ecosse Executive.

        Superior tour guide
The day was spectacular not only because the weather was awesome (May 24), but Allan (the owner) was even better! He made our stay in Edinburgh outstanding. He's extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous. He is patient, gives ample time to see the sights, Provides many historical facts to link the current state of the city with the past of Scotland's history He is highly recommended, don't look any further and do yourself a favor, book with his company when visiting Edinburgh. You will not regret it!!!
