It was a great workout. The route covered major attractions. The guide was patient with me and my husband as we are not regular runners. Bravo.

    James is a great guide.
I noticed the brochure for this in my hotel and thought I would give it a try. Because of my busy schedule of meetings, the 7:00 am time was best for me, on a Wednesday. Part of me signed up just to make sure I had motivation for running, part of me just wanted to fit in some learning alongside all my work-related hours, and part of me was nervous about the pace, etc. I'm so glad I signed up. The whole experience was excellent. The pace was good and the enjoyed hearing lesser known stories about some of Edinburgh's well known sites. I showed off my knowledge for the rest of the week! Really, I highly recommend this.

A unique way to experience Edinburgh
James and Raymond did an outstanding job with this tour. It was very approachable as a novice jogger, and we saw so much in 5 miles than most people would see in a few days. Great views, interesting history, and wonderful company. Thank you so much!

Best sightseeing in Edinburgh to get off the beaten tracks!
I'd give it fifty not five stars if I could! Takes you to so many gems around Edinburgh that are hidden away and makes you laugh throughout! Couldn't recommend it more! They're very considerate with the pace too!

Amazingly it became private tour. Nice and easy jog around Edinburgh old town. The guide James was simply awesome person, who gave historical information about the places we ran through. I felt like this was half a tour counting the number of placed we ran through, including sneak peek of my favourite place. Thoroughly enjoyed and thanks a million James 🙏

This was a great experience- James was our tour guide, he was very good at judging our running pace, was really approachable upbeat and personable and really knowledgeable about Edinburgh. I have lived here my whole life and came away knowing and appreciating so much more. Well done, fantastic fun, worth it if you have two legs that can move!

Very poor runner support. No electrolyte drinks the entire course, only a granola bar at the end! Long walk to buses after, then 40 minute bus ride back to the city. Pretty course along the water, but poor logistics…should have start and finish close together.

Brilliant running tour with James. Interesting, informative and fun (even in the rain). James will go at pace that suits you and we saw places and views we would never have found on our own. Highly recommend.

My friend and I booked the 5k running tour around Arthur's seat for 10am Friday 23rd August. We waited until 10.15am but noone turned up. I have sent two emails and posted a facebook message but I have had no response. They also have my mobile telephone number and email address and have made no effort to get in touch. I would urge anyone to think very carefully about booking anything with this company. It is also deeply frustrating that there is no contact number.

We enjoyed this unique way of discovering the beautiful city of Edinburgh very much. Our very friendly guide Nick slowed his pace down a little (or most likely a lot) so everone could keep up. Though also the tour due to Edinburghs general landscape was a bit hilly for someone only running flat routes like us, the running never was exhausting to a point we had to force us to go on. During some stops we could take a deep breath to admire some beautiful prospects of Edinburgh and hear about the history of specific buildings and the development of the city (for example [and concerning both the last two aspects] why one of the alleys is called "worlds end close" [right next to the pub called "The Worlds End" accordingly]). We had a lot of fun on our tour running through Edinburgh for our guide Nick sure knew how to connect insightfull historical information, mostly apart from the things you would expect to hear or see, with pleasant company and - of course - running.

Great to hear that you had such a good time on your run with Nick! One of the "fun" things about running in Edinburgh is that every session is a hill session, weather you want it to be or not :D Look forward to seeing you again sometime! Kind regards, EMF Running Tours

We took the tour on the next day after we have arrived, and that was the right decision. Our guide, James, led us through the places and corners of Edinburgh that we would not have been able to find ourselves. Running was the perfect way to explore the city. James was very knowledgeable and funny and kept us engaged throughout the run.

James was our fantastic guide. A really great way to see Edinburgh with lots of stops that other tours don’t cover. Really fun afternoon all the while factoring in the current covid rules.

I went on a running tour with Nick -- no one else as it was a 7am run in January! Brilliant morning out -- I'd seen most of the sites in central Edinburgh by 8.30am and it was a nice easy run (I normally run the occassional 2-3km moderate run, but Nick and I stopped so many times that the 6km or so didn't feel at all hard). Especially good if you're pressed for time and want to avoid the selfie-stick crowd! Nick was an excellent and informative guide and we chatted most of the way round. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and especially so at 7am when not another living soul is about, just bare in mind that in winter it's dark until quite late and dark quite early so this might affect the types of photos you might want to take -- excellent goody bag at the end of the day with a whole bunch of souvenirs.
