    Great trip!
Scott was wonderful. He was funny and informative. My mom accidentally left her phone at a stop and he turned around so she could get it back! We were so thankful for that. Thanks for the awesome tour!

    Skye is Sublime
A great tour! So many amazing stops along the way and then a bunch more experiences on Skye. Our tour guide, Cliff, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and told lots of interesting stories, both historical and pop culture references about Scotland and our locations. Highly recommend.

    Magical Highlands!
Just returned from an incredible 3-day Highlands tour and I couldn't recommend it more! The itinerary was meticulously planned, ensuring we saw the most breathtaking landscapes and historical sites without feeling rushed. A huge shoutout to our guide, Mr. Cliff! He was a wealth of knowledge, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the Highlands' rich history throughout the tour. He was also incredibly polite, friendly, and always happy to answer our questions. Most importantly, Mr. Cliff was incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a fantastic experience, even making adjustments when a few of us wanted to spend more time at a scenic viewpoint. If you're looking for a magical Highlands adventure, this tour is a must! You won't be disappointed.

The tour guide Jim was the star of the day, he makes rhe whole day tour amusing. During the trip he gives you data historical data interesting data funny data and not only but also music ...all with a great sense of humour. Besides that the tour is well planned and carried.. the stops are highlights.. the time at each stop is enough .. Time Bush bus new and neat. Besides that we had a miscommunication problem about the meeting place and we called them at they answered and helped instantly which nowadays its a rare thing. So we strongly recommend this tour

    A worth it day trip
My husband and I had a short visit in Edinburgh and we managed to fit in this 1 day tour. We love this short trip as we were able to see the highlands and some of the places Scotland is known for. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Our driver was very good too.

    Great Scottish history and tales
Scott was our driver. Je was very knowledgeable and told us all about Scottish history. I was amazed at how much he knew off the top of his head, while driving too! The stops were timed perfectly (as long as all the riders returned at the appointed time). This is a very long day trip so if you book it, you want someone to tell marvelous tales.

Book Timberbush for fabulous day trips from Edinburgh!
Did a lot of research before choosing a tour company in Edinburgh, Timberbush had great reviews and great choices for day trips. We took 3 day trips, loved them all! Stuart was our guide for our trip to Doune Castle, stop with the Highland Coos, and Inveraray Castle. His vast knowledge of Scottish history was fascinating! He pointed out several things along the way that weren’t stops, but great to learn about. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him! Our last day trip was the highlight of our trip, Loch Ness, Glen Coe, The Highlands. Our guide was Stevie B. His humor was a welcomed addition to our day in the Highlands! Was impressed with his control over the very big bus on the small, windy roads! His knowledge of Scottish history was also impressive! This is the tour company you want to book! The check in team at our meet spot was well organized, every day trip went smoothly! Don’t stress about your vacation here! Leave the driving to professionals so you can relax and enjoy the gorgeous countryside!

Seriously the best days of my life!
We visited Edinburgh but also wanted to make the most of our trip by seeing the highlands and all the main sights of Scotland. Our three day Isle of Skye, Highlands, and Loch Ness tour ensured we were able to do just that! Our driver, Dave, was so knowledgeable and just so fun to spend three days with. He knew some lesser used vantage points for all the sights that were less busy and made sure we had time to see the things we wanted to see. He had all the insider information of little things we never would have seen if we had driven ourselves, and gave us all the background information to each spot as we were coming up to a place of interest. The small group (14 people plus Dave) made it really laid back and our whole group was great. I can't even say enough good things about this tour. Eilein Donan Castle, the Skye Fairy Pools, the charming village of Portree, Hairy Coos, all the most most beautiful sights you could imagine. Every place was more beautiful than the last, my jaw was constantly on the ground and I'm sure I said "oh my God" one billion times.

    Isle of skye memories
The first thing is our tour guide, Captain Kenny👨🏻‍✈️! He is an awesome guide very friendly and the best tour guide I have ever met. He told us about the history of Scotland and the heritage of the Highlands and mountains. He is an excellent storyteller and a great translator for German songs 😄. Secondly, I had a great team; everyone was really friendly and sweet! I will never forget this whole trip. That was very quick trip but these three days have been really special and refreshing for me. Thank you to all of my team members; I am very glad to have met everyone. Thank you for the unforgettable memories! Especially Captain Kenny, you have been great 🫡 Thank you so much. Wish you all have great adventures ahead ❤️ by RAGU

    Wonderful Experience
We had an incredible experience with Timberbush Tours! From the very beginning, we were warmly greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Our tour guide, Donald, was exceptional and made our trip truly memorable. Touring the Isle of Skye with Donald was the highlight of our trip. His captivating stories, fascinating facts, and lighthearted jokes made the journey unforgettable. Donald's deep knowledge and passion truly brought the beauty and history of Scotland to life for us. The songs he played during the ride were well coordinated, enhancing the beauty of the Highland scenery. The folk songs lingered in my mind long after the tour ended. Donald went above and beyond by ensuring we safely checked into our BnB, dropping us off right at the doorstep, and showing genuine concern about our breakfast arrangements. We felt safe and secure with his skilful driving throughout the tour. Thank you, Donald and Timberbush for an amazing experience. We hope you continue to bring joy and inspiration to many more visitors!

Great scenery, history, stories and castles.
Mark, the guide was fun and informative. Would have given 5 except for the lunch stop place. Food there was barely acceptable. Ark did ad a bonus stop near Sterling Castle for outside photos. Mark was great

We had planned a vacation trip to Scotland around the 2 day Timberbush Highlands tour. Literally, planned around it.

Two days before the departure, they canceled because it wasn’t full.

They offered to refund me, book us for the same tour a different date or book us on one day tours. All of these options involved significant extra work on my part - changing hotel arrangements chief among the difficulties.

The Timberbush representative was not at all apologetic for the inconvenience they were causing me. When she asked me what sites I might be interested in, I told her the itinerary I had booked with them was what I was interested in. She then told me she didn’t appreciate my sarcasm and if my attitude didn’t improve, she’d ask me to call back and speak with someone else.

We found a wonderful alternative with Rabbie’s. That was a great trip. It was fully booked but their policy is to honor their commitments to their customers. A Rabbie’s representative told me that Timberbush is notorious for cancelling their trips.

Donald, our tour guide/driver, excelled at sharing all kinds of information, ranging from modern day Outlander tidbits to Jacobite history, all the while skillfully driving the minibus. We experienced all of the notable places that I expected, based on the tour’s description, but we also had one unexpected and marvelous experience (feeding carrots to a couple of Hairy Coos —see photo). We had a great 2 days! Thank you, Donald!

Our tour guide Brian was amazing! Not only was her personable, he was accurate about the history of Scotland and the various locales we went to. The tour group really enjoyed his stories and he is quite funny. I have taken a few of the Timberbush Tours and this one was by far the bus. The guide really makes or breaks the tour, and Brian was the best leader we have experienced! We would definitely book another trip from Canada based on just the tour alone!

Unfortunately, my 2-day tour was cancelled 3 days before due to not enough people being booked. Of course there is nothing that states clearly that this could happen on the booking page or on your documents when you're confirmed. The only place it's listed is in the T&C's. My bad for not reading all of the fine print but seriously, they should be more up front about it!
I was in Iceland at the time and got the call right before I was going on a glacier hike. I had to sit it out and rearrange my entire trip to Scotland to be able to accommodate all the things I wanted to do there.
I did eventually take a tour with a company who guarantees they go despite the number of sign ups. I highly suggest you find a company who does the same.

Hi Natalie, I'm sorry to hear that your tour was unfortunately cancelled due to low passenger numbers. This is a policy we have in place in order to lessen the impact on the environment. We do have it clearly listed in our "Additional Information" section on Viator as well as our terms and conditions and can only apologise that you hadn't seen this at the time of booking. We always try to minimise the impact on passengers travels by letting them know days in advance, whilst also giving the tour an opportunity to fill up. We hope you have a wonderful time exploring beautiful Scotland and that the plans you have made go smoothly. Best wishes, Jodie Reservations Manager

This was a tour I will never forget! It was an amazing experience, mainly because our tourgide Paul B. expertly looked after the group throughout the entire journey. The bus was comfortable and Paul managed to make the rides as entertaining as possible. The accommodation that they had arranged was also wonderful and it was nice that I did not have to arrange anything myself. Everything that we saw during the two days was very impressive, and Paul would always communicate with us what our options were. As a solo traveller, I felt looked after and I have greatly enjoyed myself during the trip. Overall, I cannot recommend enough!

What an amazing tour. I knew Scotland was beautiful but being in the Highlands confirmed it. Kenny was my tour guide and my friends and I absolutely loved him! He was so friendly, warm and knowledgable which made the tour 10x worth it, I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. We truly learned so much of Scotland's history because of him. So glad to experience his first overnight trip with us, we all had a blast. I would definitely recommend this tour, and to ask for Kenny! x

The BEST tour we had in the U.K.!! Our tour guide Jim was amazing and went above and beyond for our trip through Scotland. During our Scotland trip we used Premiere Tours, Rabbie’s, and Timberbush and I regret using anyone besides Timberbush. Next time we go to Scotland we’re only using Timberbush and hoping we get Jim as our tour guide again!! 10/10 recommend.

I decided to take this tour whilst on holiday from South Africa. I missed the meet up due to a Scotrail delay but managed to catch up with the group for day 2 from Inverness. Our guide, Gillian was most welcoming. The places we visited were amazing, Gillian was most knowledgeable and interacted so well with the group. This trip was definitely the highlight of my holiday and look forward to further tours when I'm over again.
