Culturally rich tour with humor and history
We loved our guide Jim Scot! He was knowledgeable, funny, warm and friendly. Despite some disgruntled American tourists who were angry because they themselves kept the whole bus waiting (and promised to make a poor review), we had a lovely time. Jim Scot gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from the Dane and the fake Dane for his fantastic tour guide skills! Thank you!!

      Unexpected good
We went from Aberdeen to "North East Coastal Trail - 1 day tour" - me and my wife. The guide name was Chris (sorry if I made mistake in spelling). We did not expect such a good quality: - comfortable Mercedes van - excellent time management - all departures/arrivals in time - good stories/legends all along the way, all questions answered - HSSE notices, warnings about potential hazards - all done perfectly - friendly atmosphere - advices about restaurants, menu, prices etc. I will book a next tour with this company Victor and Svetlana (Russia)

      Perfect Tour!
Absolutely perfect day! Our guide, Jim Scott, regaled us with facts, stories, songs, and provided an amazing running commentary to the day! There was something for everyone, even the nonOutlander folks. The history of these historical spots is fascinating in itself. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone and if you can go with Jim Scott, that's a bonus.

Great tour with a great tour guide
Our tour guide Lizzie was so knowledgeable and so much fun to be around. The tour was smooth, we had enough time to explore the sites, take photos, buy mementos. All in all it was a great experience, and I’d definitely book a tour with them again. And Lizzie should be put on the 3-day Outlander tour because she would be an amazing!!

Very interesting tour - learnt loads
Our tour guide, Lizzie, was great- she really made the tour interesting. We went to see Hadrian's wall in two different locations and also visited a Roman settlement where exavations were taking place and the Museum displying findings over the years was great - Vindolanda! We also visited a small town called Jedburgh which had an Abbey- but only spent 30 mins here, so could not go in to see it - pity - they should allow at least one hour at Jedburgh and only stop once to see the wall - hence 4 stars. We would recommend this trip but check the weather forecast in advance of booking ( we did and had a dry day) since we think a dry weather day ( doesn't need to be warm - just dry) is essential to really make the most of this trip because all of the stops are outdoors - except at Vindolanda - inside the museum !!

      Beautiful East Coast Tour
Wallace was our tour guide and did a great job with information, music and local stories. It was a good mix of places to see, plenty of time for toilets, snacks, coffee/tea, etc. Highly recommend!

      Awesome
Keithen was a great tour guide, he knows the country and the history very well. We were entertained throughout the tour with interesting facts and Scottish humor. The distillery visit is a must for whiskey lovers - it was worth every penny.

3 Day Lake District Explorer - Magical and Memorable
My 3 day Lake District Explorer tour with Rabbies was wonderful! I was the only person booked on so was lucky enough to be personally escorted by Keith and Grahame. The sites were absolutely stunning and Keith is a brilliant driver with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I felt thoroughly looked after from start to finish and couldn’t recommend Rabbies enough! If you’re keen to explore a new place as a solo traveller then don’t hesitate to book - you’ll be in great hands. Thank you Keith and Grahame for making my trip so memorable and enjoyable! Just make sure you pack for all weather conditions as the Lakes can be unpredictable…

Great with lots to do each day
Very well organised tour from the moment we met up at the bus station. There were guides to assist us. We had Jim as our driver and 12 in our group. Once he got the air conditioner sorted for the van it was more comfortable. We did have a bit of rain and wind and it was very cold but this is to be expected in spring in Scotland. Jim was a wealth of information with yarns and stories. Good sense of humour. We saw heaps and packed a lot into each day. We opted for Rabbies to book our accom and all were great except don’t stay at the Archway Inn in Ullapool on a Tuesday night as loud music till 11pm!.

      Disappointing tour
I had been looking forward to exploring the beautiful highlands of Scotland for a long time. When I finally got the chance to visit with my extended, I decided to book a tour for all 6 of us. I chose a tour that promised to show me the best of Scotand, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The tour was supposed to have a guide, but it was conducted by the driver instead which basically meant no guide. The driver spoke aimlessly at times and told us her own personal stories for lenghts of time. Her accent was so thick that it was difficult to understand her, and her random monologues made it impossible to follow the tour properly. To make matters worse, there was no engaging history shared about any of the locations, and the driver dropped us off at a few locations, told us the time to come back, and that was it. It was too long of a drive to arrive and then wander around without any guide. Overall, the tour was a total waste of money unless you can't rent a car and drive yourself. I was disappointed with the the absence of engaging stories, and making the experience worth the drive. I would highly recommend just renting your own car and doing your own research and save your self the money.

Our trip was amazing! Not only was the trip, views, and experience great but what made it 10x better was our travel guide, Jim Divine. He was an amazing storyteller, kind, funny, generous, and truly caring. He LOVED Scotland! He would even sit and eat lunch with us and really got to know us and vis versa. My boyfriend and I made a great friend to hopefully visit again one day! This trip will be close to my heart and something I'll always remember, I wish it was longer! WOW, I want to go back! Highly Highly Highly recommend you will not be disappointed. I will be doing more in the future!

We had such a great time! The castles were amazing and our tour guide, Jim Divine, and his playlist for the driving was awesome! He made it such a great experience and really got to know us. The landscapes, architecture and history was so amazing and his knowledge and stories really added to the experience. The accommodations were wonderful and comfortable. Being a family of 5 the bus was comfortable and spacious. Jim was so accommodating, personable and kind. Thanks so much for showing us around!

This was my first time to Scotland, and first time ever seeing any castles in person. I was blown away!

We stopped at 5 or 6 locations each day, learning the history of the country as well as the people who shaped it. Along the way we ate some great food, met some really good people, made a few friends, and saw tons of breathtaking scenery.

Our tour guide Jim Divine is an absolute legend! He was funny, interesting, and kept us engaged the whole time. His experience, extensive knowledge, and Scottish charm made this trip great trip even better. He took us not only to touristy areas, but also slightly off the beaten path which was very interesting. Perfect balance of time spent on the bus vs time spent at each stop.

    Accommodations were also great.

    Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a great castle visiting experience this is a great choice. If you lucky enough to have Jim Devine as your tour guide and driver, you have hit the jackpot. Jim, is very, very knowledgeable on the history of the castles and the area you are traveling through. He is a very friendly and a good sport. You will go to amazing castles of all types from castles with incredible rooms and displays, to ancient ruins of castles. The accommodations were very good especially in the small town of Foress. If you choose this tour, you will definitely enjoy it.

Great castle tour. Our tour guide was amazing and so full of information and history about the places we visited, she was also easy to understand. Loved that it was a small tour bus, only 16 people, so we didn't have to fight the crowd to get into places. The castles we toured were very diverse; from ruins to the elaborately decorated. Would have preferred staying in the same place as all the other passengers so we could have gotten to know them better. Didn't like the last place we stayed at, Knockomie Inn; the room was very outdated, their restaurant was the only place within 20 min walk to eat at and they were booked out until 8:30 pm (two of our party were turned away because they were completely booked), took a long time to sign in and a long time to find someone to sign us back out. The other place we stayed at for 2 days, Aberdeen Allan Guest House, was amazing and I would go back there anytime. Beautifully updated, very sweet and helpful hosts and very large rooms w/en-suite bathroom.

We had an amazing time on this 4-day castle tour with guide, Jim Divine. Jim is a lot of fun to spend time with and his knowledge of Scotland's history knows no bounds (even extending to geological history!). He's also a fantastic storyteller so he knows how to really bring these histories to life. The overall pacing was perfect and helped us see much more than we could have on our own--and without us ever feeling rushed. Everyone in the group was grateful that Jim knew how to mix the Big Name castles as well as valuable, off-the-beaten-path sights. Sights we likely wouldn't haven known to look out for on our own. I highly recommend this fountain of information and inspiration!

What better way to discover this great country than with a history and geology profesor as your guide?! Sean has a wealth of knowledge about history, nature and his country and shares this in the most eloquent form. He really takes you back in time to relive the stories from the past giving you an adequate view of the country he loves so much. The tour is well organized whilst remaining open for adventurous side trips. We truly enjoyed every second!
