- katiesZ2164VA0 contributionsTop tier comedyA fantastic few hours non stop laughing! Three acts set within a vibrant pub, on the top floor. Reasonably priced drinks too! Highly recommend! #Colin #scissorWritten 4 February 2024
- Kaylah H0 contributionsMust do for Edinburgh night life!We had a blast at Spandex Comedy in the Comedy Attic! A cheap evening of high quality entertainment! We were so glad that we stumbled upon the Tuesday night show when we otherwise would have had a very quiet evening in Edinburgh (most things close by about 6). One of our favorite things we did in Edinburgh!Written 10 April 2023
- ChristosM3270 contributionsSooo funnyVery funny show, we enjoyed every moment. 100% recommend it for a night out! All the performers were amazing.Written 1 April 2023
- carlyferg90 contributionsGreat craicOne of the best nights we had in Edinburgh! Belly laughs from start to finish. Host of the show was absolutely hilarious as well as the two comedians who followed. If you want to laugh straight for two hours I cannot recommended this show enough! From the 4 “wild” Irish girls :)Written 27 February 2023
- annaangeli960 contributionsSo fun!! Don’t miss it!The show was hilarious , couldn’t stop laughing!! Both comedians and the host were awesome! If you’re looking for a fun thing to do in Edinburgh couldn’t recommend more!Written 18 February 2023
- R842KAjohnr0 contributionsAbsolutely hilariousAbsolutely hilarious, Rick was a great host. Tickets are £9 and it’s an absolute bargain. Intimate little venue, acts are top quality and the drinks are fairly priced downstairs. Go, you won’t regret it.Written 29 January 2023
- Tour5065200 contributionsTop comedyExactly what you want from a late night comedy show. Rick is hilarious. Acts were brilliant. Not just me, the whole audience was killing themselves. Haven't been to a good comedy gig like that for a long time.Written 28 January 2023
- masalamar0 contributionsA room full of neanderthalsPro tip: if the performers tell you to shut the f* up 20 times then they really mean it. NO you are not funny, NO people did not pay to listen to your “pick me” performance and NO you are just not “quirky” stop embarrassing yourself sit down and shut the f* up. Learn to control your crowd. People paid to listen to you not the idiots in the first row. If you cannot handle them then you should not be on the stage.Written 18 December 2021
- henrycM8683YP0 contributionsFun night outWe enjoyed 4 really funny acts with an accomplished compère! Would totally recommend this venue for anyone who wants to cheer themselves up :-) Good value for money too.Written 12 January 2020
- edwardbZ8379VE0 contributionsJust brilliant. What a findWhat a great comedy club this is. And a great way to end the night if you don’t fancy clubbing. The host was brilliant, and everyone was made to feel part of the show. The three comics all delivered, and it was a great mix. Definitely be back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommendedWritten 7 December 2019

- Carly B0 contributionsGreat way to end a day of sight seeing around the city!!Really fun late night comedy show in the grass market area. After walking all day long we were ready to sit down and let someone bring the entertainment to us. We ended up here by chance and it was a lot of funt! Great comics and a really cute pub downstairs. Laughing was a nice way to end our long cold day. We will be back next time!Written 10 February 2019
- Bob G0 contributionsLast night an MC saved my life...My friends and I went to the comedy attic on a whim. We did not expect the non stop hilarity that ensued, we've all been to the other comedy clubs in Edinburgh but this was something else. All the acts were excellent but it was Ricky the MC who brought the rawkus balls to the walls anything goes atmosphere we wanted in a late night comedy show.Written 9 February 2019
- Momosapian0 contributionsBest comedy ever!!!Had such a great time with my friends! Perfect time and place to go whether you plan to head to it or stubble across it. A bit of everything for everyone ! groups big or small! What a laugh! The MC is bl**dy brilliant!Written 7 February 2019

Small venue every act just asked the audience what they do. Wasn't very funny and the acts blamed the audience saying we were a bad crowd. Give it a miss and pay for one of the more well known ones

Visited whilst on a weekend break to Edinburgh. The comedy show is held on the top floor of a bar. If you have mobility issues, I wouldn’t recommend.
Venue itself is a bit dated and needs a bit of tlc.
Acts - the compair was great and really got the crowd going. Be prepared to be picked on in the audience as it’s an intimate venue. 😉
The comedians - it’s always pick and mix at these things. They acts we watched were quite funny.
Overall we had a laugh, some drinks and a good night and that’s what we were looking for.

Rick and the other 2 comedians each with their own unique style. Whether it was witty one-liners, relatable anecdotes, or clever observations, they kept us laughing nonstop.
The best part? They didn’t just perform monologues; they engaged with the crowd. The impromptu banter and quick comebacks were pure gold. 🤣

We booked this as a last minute back up because our underground vault tour was cancelled due to storm Arwen. We had no idea what to expect as we took our seats in a small, intimate venue above the beehive pub which we struggled to find at first after a local bouncer pointed us in the right direction.
What a cracking night we had, the acts were hilarious. Easily as funny as larger comedy venues I have visited in the past. The host Rick was unbelievably witty as compere!
This comedy club is definitely on our list for when we return to Edinburgh and I would recommend it to anyone.

Went here as part of my daughters 18th birthday weekend in Edinburgh ...Great fun, being a family of four (with an 18 & 20 year old) we were bloody bold to sit in the front row and MC Rick went straight for us! His wit and material were 1st class and an excellent compare. There were some boisterous 'lads' in the middle rows who were annoying as hell but were soon put back in their cage by Rick.....so much so they didnt even turn up for part 2 !
This was the weeknd of the storms and they rushed around to get 3 acts and fair play to them all, they all had something different and were all top drawer.
An absolute top night, cheers guys :-)

This is a must do if you’re in Edinburgh for a few nights. Rick the MC was excellent at warming up the audience and had us in stitches before the acts came on. The two acts were also first class. First up was a young Scottish comedian and the main act was Danny O’Brien who was absolutely brilliant. Two hours of alcoholic laughter, great way to spend the late night.

Really good comedians and host really worked hard at their craft given a difficult task due to the low numbers of the audience. Unfortunately it was six nations England v Scotland and most people just preferred to drink rather than visit the attractions. The host worked the audience well as did the two visiting comedians.

Not my first visit to The Comedy Attic and certainly not be the last.
I went with a group of friends and had a brilliant night. Rick the MC getting everyone warmed up for the two acts that followed.
Can't recommend this place enough, if you're looking for something to do late night on a Friday or Saturday you certainly can't go far wrong with trying here.

Went with 5 friends, we all sat in front row and had great craic with the comedians and MC. They were all brilliant and one of the best and interactive shows I've been to in Edinburgh, we had been to 2 other comedy shows but The Comedy Attic has topped them both.
I believe it was Joe Mcternan, Rick Molland and Gareth Waugh on that night which were all brilliant and had us in bits.

The place to go for late night comedy in Edinburgh. Be sure to book in advance as normally sells out.
Two great acts, superbly hosted by Rick Molland
We will definitely return when next in Edinburgh
