One of the best choices I have made
Going on this tour is one of the best decisions I have made. I was quite nervous to begin with as I usually travel alone but our tour guide John made us all feel welcome very quick. All of the stops and sights were so beautiful and like nothing I have seen before. The people on the tour were also very kind. Highly recommend!

Best way to see Scotland!
Aug 2020
Easily the best tour I have been on! I did the 5-Day tour with John as the tour guide and everything was amazing. John was super informative, fun and helpful and all the places we went to were stunning. Everything I could have wanted from a trip to Scotland! Such great value for money too. I travelled solo and made lovely friends on the trip and felt safe the whole time. I would definitely book with Hairy Coo again!

5 Day Life Changing Tour of Scotland
Sep 2019
Back in late September I had the pleasure of doing a Hairy Coo tour for 5 days. I didnt know 100% what to expect from a smaller tour group as I'd just come off a looong Topdeck tour but from the get go, Stephen (our tour guide/tormenter haha) was welcoming, informative and hilarious with what seemed to be typical dark Scottish humour. He showed us places that you could only dream of- gorges, mountains, lochs and whisky distilleries..and each place we had lots of time to explore and take too many photos at! Isle of Skye was a highlight for me on this tour and our tour was making such good time one day on the Isle of Skye that we stopped off at a beer brewing place in Uig and it was there that I tried and loved 'Red Skye' by the Isle of Skye Brewing Company (this coming from a non beer drinker). Scotland is a breath taking, progressive and history rich country and The Hairy Coo tour group was the perfect way to see it! Cant recommend it enough! If you're reading this Stephen- thanks again for lugging my back breaking pink bag on and off the coach! Thanks for a great tour!

Worth every penny

Colin was our tour guide and we couldn't have asked for any better. So much to see and so much to learn about Scotland on this tour. I was honestly very sad when this tour ended. 5 days sounds like a lot but if you really want to get to know Scotland and have a good time doing so. This is definitely the way to go.

Very well done Callum for your first 5-day tour, it was great!
I had a blast, stunning views, nice little spots to explore, some parts of history, scottish culture included, nice group of people... overall amazing!!

I was glad to finish my vacation with the 5-day tour. I learned after that it was the last of this season... I got lucky on that. Don't miss out your chance. It was worth it!!! It was also well organized.

I would say 5 days is enough, it can get a little exhausting at the end. Maybe rework the fifth day to be more dynamic like the other days. But other than that, nothing bad to say about this. THANK YOU to all the team behind this!!!

I can't wait to come back!!

DREAM COME TRUE
Oct 2019 • Couples
Can’t recommend this tour enough! The guides are spectacular (especially Awesome Colin and Michael) and the stops were so incredible! I’ve dreamed of coming to Scotland since I was very young, and the tour covered all those places I’ve been wanting to see. Besides having the beautiful scenery around us it was made so much better having a guide (Awesome Colin) who was so passionate about the history and landscape of his country. I can’t wait for my next tour with Hairy Coo!!!

So we’re a group of 3 from Dubai & Oh dear i already miss our guide COLIN. He was amazing, infact we were truly lucky for him to be our guide, just absolutely spectacular our entire 5 day tour was ! It felt like a dream come true, so comfortable and so much fun and COLIN told us so many stories about feries and the ancient scottish herritage and about beautiful mythical creatures while we visited those exact spots. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND COLIN ! He will just take your experience to another level, make sure youre safe in the heights and makes you do some crazy stuff !

Great 5-day Highlands & Isle of Skye tour with Stephen!
There’s so much to see on this tour and the landscapes of the highlands and the Isle of Skye will take your breath away! Stephen was a great driver and guide - funny with a good dose of Scottish sarcasm, patient, and made sure everyone had a great time.

The B&Bs are typical UK accommodations, small but clean and functional. The Skye Inn was particularly nice. All the owners dis their best to accommodate the tour group, getting breakfasts ready on time for our early departure, etc.

Highlights were Glencoe, the view from the top of the mountain on the Isle of Skye, catching the Jacobite steam train, and seeing the many lochs and mountains. The seal tour on the boat also offered some lovely views.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hairy Coo Tours, if you’re looking for adventure and you bring your sense of humour, this is the right tour for you!

Amazing Tour
Sep 2019 • Couples
My girlfriend and I went on the 5 day tour with our guide Stephen. Stephen was the absolute best! He was funny, knowledgeable and extremely proud to be Scottish. The tour itself went to each place we wanted to see and even made a couple extra stops when we were ahead of time. Everything was organized and taken care of for us making it easy for us to relax and enjoy our time travelling the Highlands. I would recommend travelling with the Hairy Coo to anyone interested in Scotland!

Stephen’s incredible Scottish “get off my bus tour”
Had a an incredible time with Stephen on the 5 day tour and would recommend it in an instant. Even considering bring my kids on its
The tour and the soundtrack Stephen built to go with it, along with his incredible depth of Scottish history made this an incredible trip and an educational experience to remember.
He was always enthusiastic, and his chorus of “get off my bus” at the end of each day had me laughing and missing it now.
