About
Led by Bible believing Scottish Christians, we will drive you through beautiful rural Fife to St Andrews, stopping at places along the way relevant to the Reformation and Scottish Church history. We will then return to Edinburgh to visit sites of significance in the city. We are a non-profit ministry of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Scotland. Any funds remaining after direct costs are paid, are used to facilitate church planting in Scotland. Our tours are not merely sight-seeing arrangements. Our goal is to encourage you in your Christian faith, and to point out how and where the people and places you learn about honoured Jesus Christ in everything they did and how you can do the same today. Our tour guides are Bible-believing Christians who care deeply about helping to build up your faith. We are also happy to add in any other location you would like to visit within a reasonable distance. We are 5 star rated on Tripadvisor.

A fascinating historical experience
Oct 2017 • Couples
My wife and I did the seven day Scottish Reformation Tour which included day trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh, St Andrews, Ayrshire and Glencoe, as well as other places of historical interest, from a base at Bothwell Bridge Hotel. We were the only customers that week and were driven around each day by Helen Fisher, accompanied by her husband Jimmy Fisher who served as guide and story-teller. With such a small tour group, we got to know Jimmy and Helen very well as the week unfolded and enjoyed their company enormously and also their vast wealth of knowledge as it was our first visit to Scotland. The focus of the tour was Scottish Reformation history, of course, with an emphasis on the Scottish Covenanters who were severely persecuted by King Charles II and his government following the restoration of the monarchy in 1660. We did the Scottish Reformation Tour in April 2016 and cannot recommend it highly enough. Very interesting for lovers of history generally and church history in particular, but also deeply moving.

Wealth of information about the Reformation in Scotland
Oct 2017 • Couples
My wife and I had two days in Edinburgh, and fortunately found this gem of an experience. Helen and Jimmy suggested a full day touring reformation sites up to St. Andrews, and back, and a half-day walking tour in Edinburgh. We stood at the places where martyrs from the first and second reformation were executed, where John Knox preached, in the first church built for protestant worship in Scotland, where the Scottish National Covenant was written, ...and it could have gone on for many more days. This is not just a tour, but a mission for these two, and a ministry of their church. The history is not widely known, not to this depth. One of the highlights was when we stood at the mass grave of many who died for their faith in Jesus and the word of God, three pre- and young teen children came by. Jimmy's, with our permission, summarized the brutality and sacrifice of the Covenanters in powerful but gentle to them. That was amazing to experience. This couple has done elaborate several day tours for groups young and old, nearby Edinburgh like ours to all over the United Kingdom. On their website they have resources to inform you of the historical background and potential sites to visit. They do a great job of communicating clearly, whatever your backgound, both in their well-sourced written materials, and in person on the tour. They are a tremendous resource of important perspective on God's work in a beautiful land. They will tailor your tour to your specific needs. And the cost is very reasonable, and goes to continue their mission. We have made two good friends in Christ in Scotland, will remember them, and tour with them again.

Truly a bucket list tour!
Sep 2017 • Couples
Because we were on a British Isles cruise we only had 1 day to spend in Edinburgh, so we wanted the day to be as full as possible. 2017 is the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, so our small group of four was especially interested in the Reformation and Covenanter history of Scotland. All the arrangements made by our hosts, Jimmy and wife Helen Fisher, exceeded our wildest expectations for the custom tour. They provided a comfortable van, with Helen doing an excellent job of driving and Jimmy providing the commentary from a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the nation. We visited many well-known historical sites including St. Andrews Castle, St. Andrews Cathedral, St. Giles Cathedral, and Greyfriars Kirk yard, which commemorates the lives of some 18,000 Covenanters who died for their faith. The Fischer's were also very knowledgeable about less well-known sites off the beaten path which hold significant relevance to the Protestant Reformation and Covenanter history. Our wonderful 8 hour day was completely filled with only a short stop for a "takeaway" lunch. At the conclusion of the tour we felt we had merely scratched the surface, and already look forward to a return trip where we can spend much more time. In the meantime, we know we have made two new friends for life, and look forward to another more detailed tour with them at a future date. If you are interested in a tour of this type, we could not offer a higher recommendation for Scottish Reformation Tours. Jimmy and Helen are the best!
