Amazing experience getting to explore the city through running. The tour was extremely interesting and we got to take in the sights from Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh Castle, all within a 90 minutes. Highly recommended.

What a great overview of the city! Catriona ran at our pace and gave us an excellent tour of Edinburgh. We saw more of this beautiful city in one hour than we did all day walking on our own. Highly recommend!

I booked this run on my last day in Edinburgh just to see what I couldn’t during my short stay here. Alison was my guide and she was absolutely fantastic. She picked me up from my hotel and we started jogging at my pace around the city. We went for around 10.5 km in about an hour and 20 minutes, stood a few times for pictures or to cross the street. It was lovely and I really enjoyed her company! Highly recommend it. Thank you Alison :)

We had a lovely time! My husband, and 7-month-old and I were visiting Edinburg for a week and wanted to start out with a tour to get a feel for the area.

We ended up doing a 4.5 mile city run with Catriona, who was excellent! We took our daughter with us in her running buggy and Catriona was very accommodating, adjusting the speed and route as needed to make it work with a buggy. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it!

Nov 2020 • Friends
I've lived in Edinburgh for over 20 years so navigating my way around the 7 Hills of Edinburg route will be easy, right?". Wrong. When my friend, Gill, and I couldn't get up to the race we had planned in the Highlands due to COVID travel restrictions we thought it would be 'fun' to turn to plan B and tackle the 7 Hills of Edinburgh as it was on both our bucket lists. I casually agreed to plot out the route the day before we were due to set off and despite being a keen runner and priding myself on knowing the cheeky routes around Edinburgh, it's fair to say that within 10 mins of trying to plot the route my brain was fried. That's not to say it's not possible, just not in my brain which is not designed for navigation. So, I was faced with the conundrum as to who would be crazy enough to want to run and navigate us the 17 miles around hilly Edinburgh on a day's notice. Cat of EDINBURGH RUN TOURS immediately sprung to mind - I dropped her a what's app and within
30 mins the whole thing was planned and the pressure was off! Simply put, Cat is a star. She clearly LOVES running and LOVES edinburgh - an ideal combination in a running guide..... We had a fab morning with Cat who clearly knew the 7 Hills route like the back of her hand having previously raced it and it became clear that if she hadn't been
there we would have been lost within the first half hour :). Cat
kept us chatting up the hills (turns out the 7 Hills route is a hilly one - who knew!) and pointed out the different routes and landmarks along the way - every day is a school day..... I cannot recommend using Cat as a running tour guide highly enough - she knows all the good routes, is a great 'chatter' and is happy to adjust to your pace.
It took all the pressure off us in terms of route so we could just focus on getting up those hills - it was a real sense of accomplishment to have got that done.

My wife and I are just back from a tremendous morning run with Pamela.

My wife is an experienced runner, and I am more of a hobby runner.

Pamela arranged a fabulous running tour for us, starting at our hotel. Beautiful route with many places of interest.

We enjoyed four seasons of weather in the hour and Pamela was both encouraging and great fun throughout our run !

Despite my wife and I having different running abilities, we both had a great run and couldn't have asked for me!

Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who would like something a bit different.

I booked our run tour as part of a birthday weekend trip and it was such a great way to see all of the sights AND get our run sorted for the weekend! We opted for the 10km trip around the main areas of Edinburgh and got to see everything - as well as run (or maybe jog...) up Arthur's Seat, which was just breathtaking. I'd highly recommend booking a tour if you're interested in seeing some of the city whilst getting some exercise, it was a really great morning and Pamela and Cat were lovely - thank you so much for such a great run!
