Loch Ness & Highlands Day Trip from Edinburgh - absolutely phenomenal!! :)
I went on the 1-day Loch Ness & Highlands tour at the end of November and it was absolutely amazing - definitely one of the best days of my life - even with the sudden snow storm (which meant the Loch Ness ferry was cancelled and we didn't go on a Glen Coe hike but we didn't mind) and the sun going down early (toward 4pm)! The small group size was perfect; you feel like you're on a private tour with a few friends. :) Owen was a phenomenal tour guide who adapted the tour smoothly around the sudden changing environmental conditions and particular things that members of the group wanted to do/see (e.g. we all wanted to see a highland cow and the moment I found one while we were stretching our legs at the Glen Coe Visitor Centre, he allowed us to spend some extra time with it). He was fantastic at breaking the ice with everyone (especially with his great sense of humour), and mastered the balance between sharing information and then also giving us some quiet time to take in the beautiful environment around us while listening to some traditional Scottish music. You can tell that Owen really loves his job. Thank you so much, Owen, that tour was one of the best days I ever had and I can't wait for the next time I come to Scotland! :D

      An amazing time around Skye
My partner and I did a trip with Scotland's Wild up to the Isle of Skye in the week between Christmas and New Years. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The guide - Jim - was fantastic, personable, knowledgeable, and so accommodating of our requests to stop for photos of the landscape when the weather cleared for glimpses of the highlands. Winter isn't the best time to go to avoid the rain, unfortunately, but we still had an awesome time seeing everything we could. Afterwards, we agreed we preferred to remember (and perhaps romanticise) Scotland this way - with less people and wilder weather. The only let down was not getting to see the Glenfinnan Viaduct due to the weather cancelling the ferry, but these things happen. It gives us an excuse to come back!

      Amazing day and guide (Owen)
Owen is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. He loves his country and it shows through all the stories, passion and commitment with which he does his job. Owen was visibly in pain from a tooth ache most of the day but that didn’t stop him! I am so grateful that he still took us out and made this the best day trip I have ever had (and I’ve been on hundreds!).

Winter Wonderland in the Scottish Highlands!
My husband and I completed this tour yesterday 9th January and we cannot believe our luck for the day! Our tour guide, Owen was amazing going above and beyond for our little group (only 3 of us!) while not feeling his best and managing to tell us so many anecdotes about the Highlands and Scotland history as a whole. The highlights were definitely the Highland cows (we were very lucky to see them during this time of year!) and Glencoe which was simply stunning. The sun was out and Scotland had turned into a winter wonderland for us and we will definitely be back for more next time!

Trip of a Lifetime ... Orkney!
This small 8-person 3-day tour was absolutely Perfect! Orkney holds hundreds of years of heritage for me, and this was a trip of a lifetime for me. Tour guide Karen was very knowledgeable, fun and flexible enough with the itinerary to make the best of every situation. I am planning another trip to Orkney in 2026 and will absolutely coordinate with Scotland's Wild for another tour. Thank you to all the members of Scotland's Wild for your hard work! Cathleen

Adventure out from Glasgow to a loch, standing stones, castle, town and glen. So much to see.
Always let a local bring you on an adventure. Always. Lauren was my guide and what a treat. We went to many areas I couldn’t get to on my own. We had a small group of three plus our guide. Perfect.

      Unprofessional
Unable or unwilling to pay for a central base, any tour that starts from Edinburgh means standing around in the early morning cold (and wet) on a random street, no where in particular. No shelter, no seat. Worse when guide late. And arriving back in the dark to the same no where random street. Our guide a contract driver, possibly a last minute call up, nice enough but his habit of texting while driving unsafe and unnerving. The selling point of a 'small' tour in an 8 person van is ok if you aren't jammed into either of the tiny front seats with the driver. Really, it should be a 7 person tour plus driver, or perhaps they mean its an 8 small people tour in a van. The reality is that the Scottish Highlands sell themselves. As long as the tour has stops in all the relevant places and someone who knows their way around the Highlands then pick another tour company. Tour didn't quite live up to the slick marketing.

      HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I can’t recommend this company enough! I did a lot of research about different tour groups and decided to go with Scotland wild due to the small group size for each tour making it much more personal. I booked two tours with them and each tour was amazing. This trip was a day trip to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park from Glasgow. The tour pick up was on time and easy to find. I was greeted by Ailsa. She was so friendly and easy to speak with. As I was travelling solo this was very important to me. She was also very knowledgeable and shared stories all throughout the tour. We hiked to some beautiful views. You can tell a lot of work went into selecting each location. Unfortunately the weather was not great and the other people in the group were not as enthusiastic about the rain but that did not stop Ailsa from keeping the morale up. Will definitely be booking again on my next trip to Scotland!

      Good memories
We did a day tour through the Stirling Castle, Loch Lomon, Glengoyne distillery and the Kelpies, which allowed us to enjoy Scotland's landscape and history, thanks to the help of our guide tour Owen. Having had already a day tour with Scotland Wild in Glasgow, we booked them again for Edinburgh, and we congratulate ourselves for our good decision. Owen proved he's got the knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm to let us a memorable footprint of our first trip to beautiful Scotland.

Solo Travel to the Isle of Skye
We had an amazing time with Ailsa on our 3-day Isle of Skye tour. We got to see so many amazing sites across the Highlands and Isle of Skye in a short timeframe. The small group made the trip much more enjoyable than normal tour groups. I felt completely comfortable as a solo traveler and think this would be a great option for travelers in groups of 1-4. If you don’t get a selfie with at least one sheep and do the Old Man of Storr hike you’re missing out!

      10/10 would recommend!
Simply speechless! We took the tour to Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands with our amazing tour guide Owen and were completely blown away from the beautiful nature we saw. It was awesome traveling in such a small group of only 4 people which made it feel much more intimate and friendly in our opinion. And we have to point out that Owen was just an incredible guide. He had so many interesting storys to tell, adapted the schedule of our tour perfectly to the weather/season conditions and was just a kind person in general. It was huge luck to have him as our guide! We can't recommend the tour enough!

      Great tour and amazing guide
We were on a tour to the Highlands with you guys on November 6th. Owen was our tour guide and we just have to say that he is AMAZING! He shared very interesting facts about the places and its history along the way. Always fun and attentive and very mindful of the schedule. Gave us very good advice for future visits. We are very happy to had him as our tour guide. - Best regards from Javier, Shomara and Agneris’s from Puerto Rico.

      Stirling , kelpies and distillery
Good trip out with host Owen a Wikipedia of information on bloody battles of Scotland. The walk up the hill seems treacherous and not surprising a few people declined. Highlight for us was the distillery tour as Frank was the best guide we have ever experienced.

      Best trip and tour guide!
This was a fantastic trip. SO many things to see and do, and the weather was wonderful, even for October. And what made it even better was we had the best guide ever, Lauren, who was just absolutely wonderful. She really participated in everything we did and had so many great stories and suggestions of places to go and see. Absolutely the best and most fun guide. It was sad when our group had to depart!

St Andrews was great, a Women's Golf Tournament was the following day so there were lots of signs & displays. The Lady's Tower as really neat with a beautiful view of the water. The weather was typical Scotland with on& off drizzle. Our driver and guide was fantastic. She was from Ethiopia, spoke 6 languages and always had the answer.

I booked this tour as our first day of our Scotland vacation and it did not disappoint! Even with minimal sun, the day was still great! The schedule of the day was nice which gave plenty of time to enjoy the sights and still see more without exhausting you. We had the pleasure of having Owen as our guide for the day. His passion for the history and personable personality topped of our experience! I look forward to going back to Scotland and curating our next vacation with them again!

Absolutely great tour! Owen was an amazing guide! He was super knowledgeable and extremely passionate about the subject matter. Subject matter aside, he was also interested in getting to know us which made for some really fun and interesting conversations. The stops were breathtaking and all provided appropriate time to do each thing. The van was laid out like a minivan rather than coach bus and so if you were solo you might be sitting next to strangers. Even with that, I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore this part of Scotland.

Owen & Derek did such a great job teaching us so much about the history of the area and the beautiful country of Scotland. We got lucky and had two guides and two guides in training for just the two of us so we felt very spoiled! Such a great company to work with to see the area!

Edinburgh is a beautiful city full of history. Don't miss the Castle and the Royal Palace. Too many people along the mile and too many tourist buses. I recommend closing the historic center for a mile.
