    Windy Walk through St. Andrew’s
We met Carol at noon on a very windy day. Because we had 13:30 lunch reservations at the Jigger Inn, She reversed the normal course of the tour so that we could end there. She was very personable, knowledgeable and efficient in leading the tour pausing at appropriate intervals to brief us on historical events that took place there. We heartily recommend a walking tour with her.

    Don't Miss this Tour!
THIS TOUR IS A MUST! Being our first time in St. Andrews, we were at first glance taken in by its historical character, beauty and seaside/golf uniqueness. We needed to see and hear more. Ian was our guide and he did not disappoint. A third year student at St. Andrews University, majoring in philosophy no less, he was engaging, knowledgeable, and quick with Scottish wit and humor. He went longer than the allotted 1.5 hours, primarily because he took every question and responded in-depth, but it went by in a blink. A thoroughly fun experience!

Every day is a school day!
Very informative and enjoyable. We’ve been to St Andrew’s a few times but saw and learned lots on the walking tour. The tour was just the right length of time to take in all the information

    Carol is the best guide!
Carol was a wonderful guide who obviously knows and loves St Andrews. She was enthusiastic and very informative, and even found us places to stay dry and out of the rain. Take this tour! Hopefully you’ll have better weather, but you won’t get a better guide than Carol!

Wonderul tour of the Old Course
Our group of six had a terrific tour of The Old Course, led by John. Not only did he offer technical aspects of the course but he shared fun and interesting historical trivia about the legendary course. Four of us are not golfers but still enjoyed the tour very much. John did a great job! We highly recommend this tour.

Very knowledgeable and made history relevant. Captured the intrigue of the period. Sensed our interest and tailored her presentation to us.

    Really worth it
Dougal was very knowledgeable and friendly. We detoured to St Andrews for this tour on a travel day and it was really worth it. Nice leisure paced walk from the golf course to the cathedral ruins to the central part of town.

Grand Walking Tour despite the Freezing Cold
James was the best guide for our very informative and fun tour of St Andrews! We so enjoyed his knowledge of golf history as he showed us the Old Course, and then James explored Scottish religious history as he explained the Castle and Cathedral. We ended up with more modern discussions of Kate meeting Will at a cafe and finished with the wonderful cat statue. While initially snowing a bit, James made the day grand fun with his wit and wisdom! A great tour with a great guide! Highly recommend!

Excellent way to see St Andrews on an afternoon visit
This was an excellent way to see both the Old Course and the town of St Andrews. Our guide was an recent St Andrews College grad and shared a great perspective on life in the town they share with the globally famous course. A nice balance of history and golf knowledge.

    Wonderful Tour
Who knew that the reason there are 18 holes on a standard golf course is because there are 18 shots of whiskey in a bottle? True story! We learned so much about the religious, university and golf history of this beautiful town on walking tour. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, and we were so happy that we booked this. Highly recommend!

Great way to learn all about St Andrews in 2 hours!
Fascinating walking tour by a knowledgeable and helpful guide. Although I have visited St Andrews a number of times I had very little understanding if its past. As the town is steeped in history there is so much to learn. Participation in the walking tour will undoubtedly enhance your visit.

After a slight mix up on the booking system which was dealt with quickly and professionally, we were off. Our family were the only ones booked that day so we got a personalised tour of the town from a nice young man named Charlie who told us about the history of the town and university traditions. Very informative and fun. Even as an alumni of the university I didn't know half of what he told us, very worthwhile and highly recommended.

As the University is closed, we wanted to have a tour of the key sites and gain an overall impression of the City. Shane was able to merge all the elements we needed in an informative and entertaining delivery.
His knowledge of the Scottish educational system and history was fascinating and rely helpful, all due to Shane’s professional background. I think we struck gold in meeting Shane!

The tour was a great overview to the history of St Andrews. From ancient times, to golf, to the university and more the tour covered it all. We walked around the cathedral, the castle, memorials, some university buildings, and town landmarks. Not too strenuous, and very interesting. James did a great job of telling us important details but not droning on and on. He knew when to safely cross roads and where to park us so that we could listen as a group. Also, he did a great job of not speaking until everyone was gathered round to hear (I hate it when tour guides either only talk to the people walking up near them in the front, or start talking before everyone has caught up!) I highly recommend James and this tour!

Great tour from Morag! Which based on a little research, is a Scottish womans name meaning "The Great One". The tour we experienced was great. Morag took some fairly dark history of Scotland, and she was able to make it both interesting and somewhat entertaining.

She too us around St. Andrew's and she was able to show that this is not just the birthplace of Golf, but it has a rich and interesting history as a very important place in Scotland. Overall, her story telling, and delivery of history were engaging and kept us wanting more. It was a fast-moving tour in terms of time evaporating during her tour and she was so good, we hated to see our tour finish. Morag is a fun and skilled storyteller, and we hope to experience another tour with her soon.

Ian our tour guide was super knowledgeable and a fabulous story teller. He made the rich history of this fascinating town come alive with details that were dramatic and humorous. He also asked us what our interests were and tailored the tour to the things we were more intrigued by. I can’t say enough good things about our experience today on this tour.

Anna did a wonderful job keeping our group engaged as she shared history and her personal experiences as a local student. You get a lovely end to end view of the city giving you a foundation for future activities. We were able to put together outings for the following days to explore areas where she had peaked our interest. It was a really fun way to explore and learn about the beautiful city of St. Andrews.

There were 2 of us and we booked a walking tour just for us - a bit more expensive, but we felt well worth it as we went at our own pace and could ask all the questions we wanted. Our guide was Morag who was fun, well informed and enthusiastic. I have no hesitation in recommending this Company if you are looking for a guided tour round this wonderful City, with its fascinating and important history! The interaction with the office before the tour was also very smooth and faultless.

There were many surprising facts about the town and our guide was very knowledgeable. It was all safe outside and social distanced. I'd really recommend this tour to new students and people who want to learn more about St Andrews.

Moraig (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) gave a great tour of St. Andrews. After wandering around on our own for two days, her information and stories gave life to the places we were just looking at before. Highly recommend this tour!
