Really good tour, if you are staying more than 2 days I would recommend that you buy a 2 day ticket straight away as it is better value.
Some buses you need headphones and some have a live running commentary both are just as good.
Do the whole tour first and then choose where you want to explore.
2 seniors will cost £32 for the two days. Not bad value

Bought 2 days bus tour tickets, walked to George Square to start, met the bus driver, he is friendly and helpful, show me what museum or art gallery to visit. It's well worth it. Only need to know, it's every hour for the bus, whether stayed one place for an hour or two!

We went as a family on the multi-lingual headphone tour. At time of review, it was pretty heavily history based and narrated by Neil Oliver (from Coast)

As a way to see the city, it's great. There's plenty of history of design, invention, arts throughout.

As we were with a wee one, it wasn't the best for them, perhaps the live tour would've been more captivating. The adults in the group enjoyed the history much more.

The route is good, covering many point along the Riverside like the museum and distillery and carving through the city, past the university, art college and suchiehall street for the shoppers.

Even if you don't listen to the tour, the views you can get from the roof are outstanding.

1 full lap takes an hour, generally buses arrive at the stops every half hour- 1 multilingual headphone tour, 1 live guided (in English, with a Glaswegian accent of course!)

The headphones provided are actually pretty good, good at sound cancelling (enough for free ones) but if you've small ears, you're better off with your own. It's a standard 3.5mm jack.

Languages are English, french, German, Italian, polish, Chinese and one other I've forgotten.

You can also hear the spooky ghost tour!

Wonderful tour. We booked a family ticket and paid an extra £2 for a second day and it was well worth it. Managed to use the tour to visit the museums and have two good family days out.

Tour commentary on the bus is great and really interesting. The Ghoulish Glasgow channel for the children is fabulous and keeps them well entertained during the tour.

Really excellent trip around the city, I have lived here for 24 years and finally got around to it. I learned a lot of history which I was ashamed not to know about already. I would highly recommend it to anyone whether you have lived in Glasgow a long time or are new to the city!

Wonderful tour. The fact that you get to learn so much about all the important and significant places of Glasgow in a matter of few hours with the help of such amazing tour guides and audio recordings is amazing. The tour guides are obviously knowledgeable but also seem extremely passionate about the city and you get the feeling strongly that they want you to learn and understand and see every bit of what they are telling you. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting glasgow. We were stopping in Glasgow only for a day on our trip to the Highlands and this tour was worth the money spent.

Took a spur of the moment day trip to Glasgow. Our plan was to take a bus tour and see many of the sights. We chose the City Sightseeing bus tour as our experience in many cities has been that this provides a great way to see the main historical points in a city. We got on the bus in George Square which was perfect as we had travelled by train.
Overall our primary goal was accomplished as we did see the sights and stopped off where we wanted to but our overall experience was definitely not a positive one. The bus was often more than 30 minutes to pick up and worse than that was frustratingly freezing cold as NO heat was provided. Being wet from standing waiting in the rain and freezing cold did not make us happy customers!!! Inexplicable and frankly unacceptable to have no heat for customers and staff on your buses!!

Despite the current covid times, the staff are very cheery, the buses running to time (just every 30 mins atm) and i must say this is a great example of adaptation of service during the pandemic.

We were on and off the bus all day, had 2 live guides. Interestingly, we also heard 2 different recorded commentaries too so loads and loads of info about glasgow.

The route had been adapted due to roadworks but that didnt affect our enjoyment. We loved this!

Fantastic live guide tour. We visited in August 2021 and had the good fortune to get on two lice guided buses. The guides were amazing and brought everything to life. It’s a great way to get around Glasgow and get on and off at places you want to see. If you are there more than a day then I’d recommend paying the extra £1 for the 2 day ticket. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and we able to get off at a couple of stops and see the places we wanted to see. Nightly recommended. The guide also said thank you for visiting Glasgow and using the bus. A lovely touch.

As I'd never been to Glasgow before I thought getting the hop on hop off sightseeing bus would be a great opportunity to see the local landmarks without getting lost.
Even though it was raining, this didn't put us off.
There was a bus stop right outside our hotel which was perfect & lots if stops along the route. We decided to get off at the Transport museum, which I would recommend as you can spend hrs roaming round. The bus of a winter us every 30 mins but by checking the bus times when you alight you can time when to get back on. There was great narrative about the places of interest through the free earphones & you could go around Glasgow all day for a great price.
I would definitely recommend!
