      Highlands
Lovely day trip out to the Highlands on the west of Scotland. Loved listening to the stories from our tour guide. Loch Lomond was beautiful. From a personal view I would have preferred to have had more time to spend in Oban for lunch, as clock watching. And perhaps more time in invanery as such a cozy, lovely place, instead of less photo stops over the mountains, but never the less a great day out.

A Nice Overview of the West Highlands
An excellent tour of the West Highlands of Scotland. A group of small stops with no real deep dive into any one stop, except that we did about 1 &1/2 hours in Oban for lunch. James our tour guide was fabulous, informative and funny

Glasgow to Isle of Skye with Jeff C!
We had such a fabulous time on our trip to Isle of Skye with Jeff C! We left from Glasgow with a small group (only 3!) and were in awe as we traversed the Highlands and explored Skye. Jeff was so knowledgeable and had many stories (both historical and humorous!), food recommendations, and hidden gems along the way. I cannot thank Jeff enough for giving us so many priceless memories and experiences I will never forget. THANK YOU

      Fantastic scenic drive
Toured with James and had a great day (8am to 7pm). Comfortable van takes you north into the highlands with snow-capped peaks and lochs. Plenty of stops for photo ops, coffee, and bathroom breaks. Lunch on your own in Fort Augustus, which is where the hour long tour on Loch Ness takes place (large boat with two levels, top is exposed, lower is heated and covered). A nice surprise was 45 minutes in the charming village of Pitlochry with lots of eating and shopping options, on the way back to Glasgow. The tour gives you an appreciation of the size of Scotland. James shared a lot of his knowledge, especially of the geological history of the area. I enjoyed our chats during the stops.

Old Cameron is the Best Tour Guide ever.
Old Cameron the Ultimate Guide and the most friendly tour guide i have ever come across. His narratives and humor mixed talks are the best to say. All the spots that i have visited are amazing, not only Cameron has been a Phenomenal tour guide but also he has been my buddy photographer. I got to know the History starting from Glasgow to Scotland the whole and many more. Would definetly recommend this tour, dont need to think twice before booking it.

Best trip if you have 1 day to spare from Glasgow!
An amazing trip through the very best of the Highlands from Glasgow expertly led by Graeme who provided a thorough and very interesting history of each area we visited. Lots of Scottish tales and tunes along the way and plenty of friendly banter.

Best tour with an amazing tour guide
We were so lucky that we were the only family at the tour. It was like a private tour. Our tour guide Kathleen was amazing. I definitely recommend this tour, totally worth it.

      January 2024 visit
This tour was expensive for what it was. I would recommend you book without the cruise, and see what the weather is doing when you are there, as when I went it was very foggy, and you could not see anything, when on the cruise. (The cruise should have been canceled). The cruise staff were not very professional, and were laughing at each other when the guide was trying to tell us what we could see, 'if we was to use our imagination', as we could not see anything. There was some nice stops to get some scenic photos. There was not enough time at Loch Ness, even though lots of the places were closed. I had to rush my lunch to make time for the cruise, and then when the cruise finished go straight back to the bus. On the way back we stopped at an area which was famous for ice cream, and where the queen liked to visit 'apparently'. It was pointless, as it was dark, and most things were closed. (more time could have been spent at Loch Ness. The guide was Caitlin, and as she was driving at the same time as being our guide, there was no opportunity to ask questions, and what she was telling us seemed scripted. I did like the sound of bagpipes before this tour, but now I am not a fan, after listening to the red hot chilli pipers for a lot of the journey.

      Best tour w/ incredible guide
Don't even look at any of the other tours, just book this one! The scenery was stunning but our guide absolutely made the trip for us. Cameron S provided all the history of the area you could ask for, was incredibly well spoken (just in case anyone is worries about the accent), and made the entire trip an absolute delight. 10/10 would book again.

10/10 amazing day out with my boyfriend
The trip we originally booked was cancelled due to bad weather but luckily we found this and I’m extremely happy with the experience :D Jeff C was amazing with his fun facts and history knowledge, not to mention his playlist🤌🏼. Made what we thought was going to be a missed opportunity/full day intro an amazing time for me and my boyfriend full of terrific views and visiting mini towns/villages. Definitely got some brownie point for finding it last minute (literally the day before).

Such a wonderful tour, our tour guide Steve was amazing at keeping us entertained and informed on the scenery around us, which was beautiful by the way. A many variety of sights and opertunities to take photos of your surroundings. The distillery at the end is also very interesting, as you walk through the process of how they make the whiskey and obviously at the end of the tour is the whiskey tasting, very enjoyable and a great day out.

It was a cold day in November when Alistair drove up to greet us, and take care of us for the day. We signed up for the "Outlander tour" and he adroitly assessed our varying levels of enthusiasm for the sci-fi historical adventure soap opera.
and so we launched on a historical tour of royalty, war, clans, castles, and TV production locations.
As you can read from the other reviews, all the guides are great. Safe, courteous, considerate, funny, and attentive to the locations of rest rooms. We felt his enthusiasm for his discourse.
Alastair (not sure how he spells it) added to that with a wonderful map session to help us plan the rest of our trip. This was clearly exceeding expectations.
Did I mention how cold it was (and I live in New England!)?

We so enjoyed our tour experience with Rabbie’s. Our tour guide Ben was excellent. One of the best tour guides I’ve ever had, really made the experience special. Ben filled the tour with musings on history, humor, and personal experience. He showed us the sights along with playing us classic songs from the country of Scotland. It was a classic scotland rainy and windy day but we were warm and cozy in our bus in between stops. All Covid precautions that were noted on the site were in place to keep us feeling safe and responsible with our decision to do a full day tour. Sterling castle, loch lomand, and Glengoyne whisky tour were all worth the trip. I highly recommend this day tour. Cheers.

This tour was excellent. The weather did not play nice with us on our tour day but we were still able to take in a lot of the itinerary. The highlights were Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond, and the Glengoyne distillery - all were very educational and enjoyable. The driver was also very lively with the details on the tour itself, including the history, as well as his selection of music. Definitely recommend to others who want to take a one-day tour!

Although we really enjoyed the guide, he unilaterally made the decision to cut short our stop in Loch Lomond to 15 minutes only! The main point of our pricey day trip was to spend some time at the loch. It was our only day trip in Scotland and we were choosy. The guide cited possible bad weather however it was perfect and everyone was dressed and prepared for Scottish summer in any case. Sterling is a great stop. We weren't interested in the distillery although folks seemed to enjoy the added tour. I think the driver should have at least asked the small group of 9 whether Loch Lomond was important or Rabbies have an outline that matches the description. Otherthan this disappointment, he is a great host.

This is a great tour to see a lot in one day for a fair price. Group size of max. sixteen is nice, ours had 12. Getting in and out of places is much easier. Guide can also run your additional entrance fees on a card reader vs. having to pay cash. Entrance to Sterling Castle and the Whiskey tasting are additional. Prices are fair and the guide (Jeff) makes it very easy. Our Guide was Jeff C. from the Glasgow operation. He is very knowledgeable of Scotland and Scottish history. He adds a lot of details and information as you drive from point to point along the way. We met at the central bus station, drove to Sterling castle, toured that, then he took us to an optimal site for photos of the castle from the valley below. Next was lunch in the town of Calandar where he suggested several options. After lunch we visited some highland cows and fed them some snacks. Then on to Loch Lomond for a 30 minute stop. Then we moved on to the whiskey tasting and distillery tour which was excellent. Finally we made our way back to Glasgow. Jeff also suggested some restaurant options for us when we returned. Jeff's extra commentary and sharing of Scottish music as we drove from point to point was informative and fun.

Though it was raining cats and dogs, the trip was fantastic. We started our day with a visit to the Sterling Castle, where we had an extra ordinary view of the city and historic information about the castle. A quick yet scenic tour of the Loch Lomond became more pleasant with a drizzle. Glengoyne Distillery visit was very informative, though I could not taste the whiskey due to health issues, but understanding the whiskey manufacturing process was amazing.
Last but not the least our tour guide from Rabbies Tours "Stevie" made it more enjoyable with his Glaswegian accent and Scottish Humor. A big thank to you Pal, you made our day very special.

Our second great Rabbie's tour, this one out of Glasgow, departing out of the Buchannan Bus Station. This was the Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and Cruise Tour. Our guide Reiss was well informed and very kind. There was only one other couple with a child on our cruise, which was really nice. The pace was relaxing without being boring, with just enough stops for food, breaks, sightseeing and lunch. The castle is very well kept, with great views, but it is not really furnished. Still a nice visit. The Loch Lomond cruise was great, only three other couples on the boat, one of the perks of a winter visit. There is coffee and a bar on board for purchase. The cruise gives a good view of the shore and area, and there is a nice narrative describing what you are viewing. There are restrooms on board the boat as well. Not too long of a cruise, and despite rain, it was still nice, we were glad we did it. Stopped in at Aberfoyle for lunch, we ate at the Fairy Tree. We ran short on our lunch hour because we were busy getting an impromptu fire station tour from Fire Captain Iain, but it worked out fine. The drive home was beautiful. The tour allowed us to return in time to still have dinner when we got back. We also booked the Edinburgh St Andrews and Fife tour just a few days earlier, which we also highly recommend. Great value, nice pace, highly recommend this tour. **Don't forget to tip your driver**

Jeff C from Glasgow was our tourguide for the day. The trip itself was magnificent with gorgeous views of the countryside of Scotland. Combined with the wonderful stops at Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and the Glengoyne distillery. Jeff truly made the tour a complete picture with descriptive context given at the correct moments and locations. A little story and history lesson if you will to go with the gorgeous sightseeing.

Rabbie’s tours and drivers (in this case, lames) guides are phenomenal. Also at Sterling Castle , we had a guided tour by one of the Castle’s guides - and he did a great job as well. If you’re a history buff, you’d have the the opportunity to visit a very near intact castle that was built in either the 11th or 12th century and if you take the tour, you’ll get a good overview of the major events and battles that occurred in the lands that surround the high hill the Castle sits on.
With Rabbie’s, after he Castle we headed north, saw great scenery and spent an hour on Lock Lomond prior to returning back in Glasgow. This was our 2nd Rabbie’s tour; the 1st was the 3-day tour to the Isle of Skye which is also a wonderful place to explore there our driver / guide was Cameron, and he like James, is a great person to show you around Scotland.
We have 2 more Rabbie’s tours scheduled: Culzean Castle on Tuesday this week; and a Whiskey Tour on Wednesday.
