      Nice visit
Nice location. The only suggestion I would have is to have a separate tasting room for people who don’t want to do a tour or sit in the restaurant/ cafe.

      Interesting tour, stingy measures!
I came on the chocolate and whisky tasting tour again - my last visit was in 2022. The tour and guide were very interesting but the 10ml measures were a little stingy considering the high price.

      Nicely done….but new
The location is interesting and there is quite a bit of history in this part of town. That part is nicely explained and illustrated. So is the part explaining about Whisky all the way to the due tasting at the end. Everything is very well done, and this is probably the distillery to visit if you are in Glasgow and don’t get the chance to travel around. The bigger and older distilleries can offer more in history and taste, as this distillery, being so young, does not yet have the old ones 18 years plus. Mental note to return in ten years or so.

Loved the chocolate & whisky tour! Morven was a fabulous guide - very knowledgeable and engaging and she made the experience so much fun. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys whisky, chocolate, or just a beautiful view of the Clyde! Thank you!

      Distillery tour.
Tour was well presented, building is gorgeous and the whisky is spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. There is a cafe on sight for sandwiches after you have had your tasting 😏

Much better cafe than the Riverside Museum Cafe.
Only went to the cafe and it was very good. We tried this cafe after a poor experience at the Riverside Museum Cafe. The quality is excellent as is the service. The staff were attentive and resolved an issue with an under baked scone in a courteous and speedy manner. We will be back for a full lunch.

When in Glasgow, visit The Clydeside
Only a relatively new distillery, but they're off to a great start. We didn't do 'the tour' because we've done many in the past. However, we did enjoy some of their (currently limited) range of drams. Very nice indeed. The cafe serves very tasty light meals and the prices of both the food and whisky drams are very reasonable. A good range of items in the gift shop as well. Worthy of special mention are Nina and Sam, who hosted our whisky tastings and shared their knowledge and experience of the distillery and whisky in general. The Clydeside is well worth visiting.

Highly recommend if you're in Glasgow!
A great tour around the whiskey distillery learning how Whiskey is made and the history of the area in which the distillery is located. Our tour guide was brilliant and was happy to answer any questions we had. Some whiskey tasting at the end of the tour wrapped it up nicely along with our own glass that we got to keep!

      Clydeside Distillery Glasgow
We tried to use public transportation and walk where possible during our time in Glasgow. Getting to the distillery involved a couple of transfers. One interesting thing we noted was that all bus stops on the same road had the same name. So unless we counted the stops accurately, it was difficult to identify where to get off. The distillery was a little over a mile from where we eventually started to walk. The neighborhood was kind of industrial and not very interesting. However there were some very interesting murals (maybe graffiti) on walls along the way. Also, a walkway bridge over a divided 4 lane highway had interesting views. The distillery itself is rather new and does not have a range of products, though they carry other brands. We did not take a tour but tasted the two in-home options at the bar. We tried the desert menu and that was great. Again, we were not hungry so we did not try the food options.

We arrived for the 1pm tour on a Friday and had Brian as our tour guide. What we really liked about Brian is as much as he was really engaging in what he told us, he didnt over talk on information to fill silence. Rather he let us know the important bits that were useful and interesting to the tour and then gave us the time we needed in each room to read the fact plaques and watch the short story played on the projector and happy to answer any of our questions which he did brilliantly. The interesting part of going to see the tour on the Friday afternoon is you get to see the process in motion but also where the pumps are you get to see them winding down for the weekend. (we were told a weekday tour is better because the distillery is actively working unlike weekends) We got to see one of the pumps on and one off whilst it was getting the last of the spirit out. Brian was really good during the tasting session, gave us all enough time to really taste each and engaged with the group on what they though about them. It was interesting to listen to him explain why each type are prices differently and why the different barrels effect the taste. Would definitely recommend his tour again although I would want to try the tour that includes chocolates next to see how it effects the taste.

OMG … we only found out about this little gem while doing the hop on / hop off tour. We did not come across this place in the time we were planning our holiday. So glad we discovered it.

This is a fairly brand new distillery, right on the river bank. The interior is super modern, very well layed out and the shop is very well presented. The whole venue is very clean and well looked after.

We purchased our tickets for the tour. It cost £15 per adult and took around 1 hour … with this tour, you also get to take home a dram glass. Happy days.

We learned so much on this tour … about the history of Whisky in Glasgow … and Scotland in general and the five different Whisky regions of Scotland. Won’t tell you any more … you simply have to go to experience this for yourself 

We visited the distillery with a group of American students. They all found it very enjoyable, even if not all of them have developed a palate for whisky yet!

The distillery is very accessible. It was a twenty minute walk from the West End and Glasgow University (whcih is well worth a visit in its own right!).

The building itself is very historic. It is an old pumphouse right on the River Clyde, and has been beautifully renovated to maintain the old feel. From parts of the distillery the views down the Clyde are amazing. Given the historical importance of the river for Glasgow's (and Scotland's) industrial development, I found the building and the views unexpectedly moving!

All the staff were very friendly and approachable. Austin in particular was engaging, informative and entertaining in presenting the whiskies. The whiskies themselves were surprisingly good for a new distillery; there is no question that the flavours are there.

There are plenty of good distilleries in Scotland; but if you are wanting a good experience in an accessible place then this one is hard to beat.

This is a great looking facility. It has historic charm when looking at the exterior of the building, but it is modern and refurbished within. They have a cafe and a store with a good selection of many Scotches. The distillery only opened in 2017 so they do not yet sell their own scotch. They are still crafting initial batches and currently offer scotch that has been white labelled by other distillers. Their tour is fun and informational not just about their scotch, but about the history of the industry and Glasgow. The tour guide was fun and personable. During the tour you got 3 samples to taste and a glass to keep. They do offer more than one type of tour.

Fantastic little tour that took you through the history of Glasgow docks, whisky in Glasgow and the fascinating role that the family who own the distillery played in both. Our host, Lizzy, was exceptional, taking the time to chat to and include our little one. They were even kind enough to bottle up the drams to take out for this designated driver. Stopped for a bite to eat in the cafe, would definitely recommend the toasted haggis sourdough sandwich to anyone. Set us up nicely for an afternoon at the GSE across the river.

Our tour guide was Sam Cain. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaged with everyone really well. The tour was really interesting and educational. The distillery works hard to pay heritage to its history as the Queen’s Dock pump house, I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to learn more about how whisky is made (and taste some!). I’m a massive fan of the freebie whisky glasses as well - given the cost of the tour, I’d say it offers exceptional value for money given the amount of whisky on offer!
Lastly, a massive shout out to Sam for paying special attention to our (very civilised) stag do!

It was a great experience visiting a working distillery. Our guide, Cameron, was very personable and informative. It started with a very realistic video of dockworkers, where the guy spoke directly to us as visitors about the difficult job they performed every day. An interesting point was made that, in the army days, an arrangement could be made with ship captains to haul barrels of whisky along on the "round," the trip to and from Australia, so the whisky could age without the need to pay for warehouse space for storage. We were able to see the casks for the various stages required to turn barley, water and yeast into Scotch whisky. Fermentation of the ingredients can take a week but the distillation process is completed in a few hours. The stills are beautiful copper pots that sit in a room with a view down the river. Scotch goes through a double distillation, then into oak barrels for at least three years before bottling. The process must be done in Scotland and aged in oak barrels to be called Scotch. There's much more to say, but in the end we sampled whisky at various stages. Though Clydeside is a young distillery, founded in 2017, their whisky has only aged for three years. Excellent and such promise for the future. We purchased two bottles which we have been really enjoying on our vacation. Thank you to the entire crew!

I was planning to do a tour of the Glenmorangie Distillery but I went to John o'Groats and Dunrobin Castle instead due to shortage of time. So when I arrived at Glasgow, I was very excited to be able to do a distillery tour at Clydeside. The best thing about the Clydeside Tour is that it is probably one of the most convenient distillery tour you can do in Scotland. It is very modern and new and so the whiskys are also very new. For such a new whisky, it tasted better than I expected. I did not get to see any sherry casks. The distillery is well located along river and so the tour is able to tell the history of the city and of the whiskys being sold in Scotland.

I have visited a number of whiskey distilleries across Scotland and Ireland and this is one of the better valued ones.
We had a nice small tour group and we're show the newly operational distillery. They're whiskey hasn't yet matured but we tried a few whiskies from the different regions of Scotland. We got to keep the little dram glass as a souvenir.
Lovely food in the cafe too.

We were on a spur of the moment day trip to Glasgow; went on the hop-on-hop-off bus and made a stop here. So glad we did! Really enjoyed our tour and learning about the history of this distillery. Enjoyed the experience and our walk through with the overview of the whisky making and process too. I think that you remember more when you can actually see things in process! Our guide was very informative and we learned a lot from the information that he shared and our whisky tasting experience. Thanks for the souvenir glass too! We looked through the store and had lunch before we left. Good food and great service! Altogether a wonderful experience! Absolutely would recommend as a fun activity and way to learn about the whisky making process.
