- L6038UEkatem0 contributionsGreat e-bike tour of GlasgowWhat a fabulous e-bike tour I had today with Conor who was super friendly and knowledgeable about all of the key sites, famous people, and their stories. I booked a private tour as I was tight on time (squeezing it in on a very short business trip) so we were able to spend the right amount of time in each place. I really enjoyed discussing the history of Glasgow with Conor, I learned a lot and we were even lucky with the weather in January!! Highly recommended ❤️Written 29 January 2025
- Jon K0 contributionsGreat way to see GlasgowGreat bike tour. Lucas was an excellent guide. Saw parts of Glasgow we would never have encountered, particularly The University of GlasgowWritten 27 November 2024
- 180sebastiaank0 contributionsE-bike tour Gallus Pedals - ASBSBiking is such a great way to get to know a city, even though I live in Glasgow I saw places I would've never seen if it wasn't for this bike tour. Martin was our tour guide, and he was amazing, as a Glaswegian he knows so much about the city. We went with the e-bikes, which made our lives a lot easier. The stop at the Clydeside distillery is really nice, the distillery has a great story and the whiskey itself is also pretty nice:)Written 18 November 2024

- Scenic067861151510 contributionsAmazing tour with MartinWe had a wonderful tour with Martin! The e-bikes we took really save us a lot of effort and offer different modes to choose from. Martin was really nice and professional throughout the tour, the introduction to some of the city's historical and scenic sites was very impressive! Overall the experience has been exceptional, would definitely recommend to someone who's enthusiastic to cycling and exploring Glasgow.Written 3 November 2024
- LBSurfer0 contributionsGlasgow By BikeAwesome tour w Martin the owner. Incredible way to see the city vs hiring a cat or walking on foot. Martin is multi generational local who knows the area, customers and architecture. I highly recommend his company if you!re visiting.Written 28 September 2024
- lindarB9622JD0 contributionsE-Bike/Distillery TourThe e-bike & Distillery Tour was great. We saw places that I would never had seen had it not been for this tour. As we only had limited time to see everything I took the hop on hop off bus the next day & went back to Riverside Museum & Kelvinmore Art Gallery & Museum to have a good look around. Would highly recommend as the e-bikes very very easy to rideWritten 24 September 2024
- vanessadF7867EB0 contributionsGallus Pedals, the best active way to see both city and parks in Glasgow.I had an amazing time with the E-biking group tour that included the whiskey distillery. Martin is super knowledgeable and took us to places that were very interesting. We had time to stop for some quick pictures and to learn a little more about specific places along the way. If you want an active way to see the city and park paths, I highly recommend it. This tour was just what I was looking for, and Martin delivered a great experience.Written 24 September 2024
- blueberryknoll23490 contributionsEnjoyment even in gray skiesWe enjoyed our e-bikes, the bikes took all the physical stress out of our trip. Our guide was courteous, caring and entertaining. He shared so much history about Glasgow and entertained us with his Scottish stories of folklore and magic. We had a chance to preview so many important buildings such as the university and museums for future exploration. At the near end of our tour we visited the Clydeside Distillery, really enjoyed the making of whiskey and especially the tasting. Worth the ride to get a true view of GlasgowWritten 23 September 2024
- helenek8010 contributionsE-bike city tourA great way to see some of the highlights of Glasgow. We had a few hours in town during a recent cruise and opted for this tour. I had no experience with e-bikes and had spine surgery a few months earlier so I was somewhat anxious but our guide was wonderful and I ended up having a terrific time. The guide was knowledgable and we had some great short stops where we could take photos. The bikes were in good condition and most of the paths were dedicated bike lanes. The meeting point is a short walk from the central train station .Written 22 September 2024

- Q5368ASallisonb0 contributionsGlasgow on a BicycleReviews: We loved our Gallus Pedals bike tour in Glasgow! Conor was a great tour guide. His background in theater showed through in his enthusiasm and his story telling techniques of Glasgow’s rich history. It was a scenic ride along the River Clyde— crossing over the many types of bridges that span the river. Biking through the Kelvinggrove Park and taking in a beautiful quad area of University of Glasgow were lovely. Highlight was taking in a festival and going over the new swinging bridge on its opening day.Written 8 September 2024

- G1729UUjamesd0 contributionsThe only way to see Glasgow.Glasgow is a big city. A city that a walking tour would struggle to cover, and if it did, it would be a tour that most would struggle to walk. The emergence of e-Bike tours makes this possible and Gallus Pedals made it both possible and a great day out. They have carved out a beautiful route around the surprisingly cycle-able city, taking in all the sights, hidden gems, architecture, and history. Let's be honest, no one spends weeks in Glasgow when visiting Scotland, so if you have a day or so in the city, I definitely recommend Gallus Pedals. You can see the city in a day, catch a show in the evening, and off to the Highlands. Our tour guide Martin was not only an awesome guide - super knowledgeable, fun, and enthusiastic - he was also one of those guys you hope you bump into again. I wish Gallus all the best and hope the business keeps booming.Written 30 August 2024

My wife and I booked a group bike tour with Gallus Pedals online late one night, and when we arrived to meet the guide the next day, Martin hadn't been notified that he had a tour. He was very apologetic and offered to upgrade our tour to a private e-bike tour for our troubles. I'm glad we waited a bit for him, because the bike tour was a highlight of our Glasgow trip...even though it rained. You can ride in the rain and dry off with a pint in a pub after. At least that's what we did.
We covered many interesting parts of Glasgow that we wouldn't have seen otherwise, including visiting an amazing venue where the world's best street artists painted murals on shipping containers to be placed in cities across the globe. Martin was knowledgeable and fun. He brought old photos to show us how radically the docks and other areas had changed.
Our ebike tour was fast and fairly easy (even in the rain!). It covers a lot more of Glasgow's waterfront and old colleges that bear a striking resemblance to the buildings in Harry Potter. Martin personalized the tour to what we expressed interest in.
There's a reason this is the #1 outdoor activity in Glasgow. This is no boring shuffle around and listen to a guide drone on. For folks who like a little adventure in their tour, don't miss Gallus Pedals.

PLUS
+ Option to choose a manual or electric bike.
+ The tour guide Martin was personable, attentive and paced the bike tour to accommodate all members of the group.
+ Martin remembered all tour members names and where they come from.
+ Outstanding was that Martin made the tour personable by comparing tour landmarks
with native similarities of the tour members.
+ Martin was a well-travelled knowledge historian. Unlike the Western textbook, he did not underestimate how historical events like slavery and colonialism build the modern day Scotland.
MINUS
- Manual bike seat was uncomfortable.
ADVICE
*If you are not an advanced biker, I would advise you to take an electric bike as there are some upward hills on the tour.

We went on a three hour tour. Donald was our excellent guide. Starting in the built up business centre with murals depicting the city's foundation tales of a millennium and a half ago we then quickly crossed to the River Clyde. The trip was based along the artery rivers Clyde and Kelvin. The cycling was great - a really fantastic route full of diversity, fun, bustle, tranquility, starkness and beauty. The stopping points were dramatic with insights into Glasgow's fascinating past, present and future. I've been a visitor to Glasgow for years but this bike tour pulled the heart of the city into geographical perspective and joined it all up. Highly recommended.

We were welcomed and sorted with bicycles quite quickly and and were on out way. Our guide Conor was very friendly and informative and showed us some great parts of Glasgow, cycling along the Clyde and through ares of the city that are outside the pedestrianised shopping streets and George Sq area. Plenty of stops with information about local landmarks and about the culture of the city. Very enjoyable.

If you're looking for a fun way to learn about Glasgow, and see the city in a unique way, then this is the tour for you. I recently did a tour with Conor and Martin and had an excellent time. Conor introduced us to some of the jewels of Glasgow, and gave us time to explore some of the museums. You don't need to be a professional cyclist for this tour. The terrain is mostly flat and the e-bike makes this ride a breeze. Now I want an e-bike of my own.

We completed a morning bike tour with Connor - and it was fabulous! Such a great way to explore Glasgow, hit the highlights and learn the history along the way. We appreciated the small group (only 7), and Connor kept the tour moving and very interesting! Special addition - quick pop in to a few museums so that you get a quick look and can schedule a longer visit to go back on another day. Highly recommend - rain or shine!

An excellent tour of the west side of Glasgow led by Martin, an engaging and knowledgeable leader, in a fleet of very comfortable refurbished ex Royal Mail bikes. We tracked along the Clyde and up into the West end benefiting from Martin’s knowledge on the way and chatting with fellow tour participants and we went. Far more engaging than a bus tour and you feel good turning those pedals round this great city. It is exclusively on either quiet roads or cycle paths… don’t worry if you are not en experienced cyclist; you will love it !

Organized, punctual, knowledgeable, reassuring and kind, these are just a few words I would use to describe Martin, owner and operator of Gallus Pedals. Whether you are a casual cyclist 50s plus mom (me) or an experienced 20's something rider (my daughter) this tour accommodates all levels of expectation and experience. Stops are frequent and Martin's knowledge of the area impressive and vast. We took the tour at the end of our stay, I recommend the beginning as he will show you all the must see spots to visit. Fortunately, we had visited enough of them to reassure us we had picked the right spots to see!
The bikes are picked up at a convenient indoor location and you will immediately feel at ease with Martin's friendly banter. There is a water, dollar store rain jacket in each basket and a healthy snack and treat are provided at the half way point. Martin's knowledge is impressive and you feel like you are being toured by your knowledable cousin.

We had a short amount of time in Glasgow, so I booked this bike tour to see more of the city than we would on foot. I was not disappointed! Martin, our tour guide, was friendly and so knowledgeable. I admit I was apprehensive at first because it started raining when our tour began, but Martin had us stop in places that were covered along the river and still had beautiful views even with the haziness from the rain. Martin shared the facts but also the stories that highlight Glasgow's character and captured our attention so well that we forgot about the rain and before we knew it, the sky cleared. We then got to see the University and Kelvin Park area. The snack was yummy and well timed, and we were proud of all the biking we did!

We found this activity on Google, we wanted to deepen our knowledge of the city of Glasgow by optimizing the time available. Why not a bike ride??
Wonderful experience! Martin made us discover hidden corners of the city that we would never have noticed on our own. A beautiful three-hour ride (luckily with a beautiful sun) to discover the city with our postman bikes!!! Highly recommended!!!
