- Seaside144830659120 contributionsHighly Recommend Joao and E2G Tours! Incredible day of family heritage in Scotland.Spent today with Joao touring multiple Robertson clan sites in Scotland. Joao is phenomenal. I cannot express enough how amazing he is - he did all kinds of advanced research and scouting to ensure we saw as many Robertson related things as possible. I am amazed at his level of effort, his knowledge, his friendliness, and the incredible day he gave us. Highly Highly recommended!!Written 13 March 2025
- Karripo0 contributionsTour of Clan Lands and HistoryThis was one of the most fantastic days our tour of Ireland, England, and Scotland. Joao made the outstanding. We told him we wanted to tour our clan history and he researched everything in advance and found us the perfect day adventure. He took us to the Clan Museum where we learned a ton, but on the way he had stories to share about the lands, country, and history. Very entertaining, educational, and personable. He even arranged for us to meet the head of the museum. She was fantastic and filled us with tons of information. Then we were off to visit some grave sites, churches, historical landmarks, and he even found a tree that Baird our surname. We ended the day having dinner where discussed more history, future, and current events. Not single moment went by for the entire day that we felt bored and were sad to see the day come to an end. I hope you will consider Joao and E2G Tours for your next Scottish adventure or tour. A most excellent day Joao. Thank you!!Written 13 March 2025
- H6059TZkarenb0 contributionsCastles and OutlanderWe had so much fun with Martin! He knew all the right places to go to make a great tour—even down to great places to eat! It meant a lot that he was thoughtful of my 2 kids and made sure they were involved and having a good time on the tour. He gave us plenty of time at each stop and knew how to make the most of our time. He knew we were Oultander fans so he made sure we had time at the film sites as well—Midhope Castle and Doune Castle. The kids’ favorite were the highland cattle and the kelpies at night. All of it was so great!Written 11 March 2025
- JessicaB4760 contributionsHighly recommend! We can’t recommend this tour enough! Martin did such a great job helping us make the most of our time and making sure we got to see everything we wanted to see! We also loved the delicious Scottish snacks that Martin provided! It was a wonderful experience!Written 10 March 2025

- 259anamarcia0 contributionsAbsolutely amazing visit to the Scottish Highlands! Our tour of the Highlands was absolutely incredible! Even though it was rainy and gloomy during parts of the tour, I swear it made it more magical (pictures can’t capture how beautiful it was!). I went with my family (parents and sister), and we all enjoyed it very much. We’re from Brazil so it was very nice having a tour guide who speaks Portuguese. João was very attentive and made sure we got to see the Highland cows which were a priority for us. He clearly communicated how much time we should spend in each village we visited and tailored everything to our needs and wants. We stopped several times along the way and experienced crazy views and saw amazing castles, lochs, and villages. João gave us some historical background to every place we went, making the experience even more magical. He also provides some yummy snacks and water. He picked us up (on time!) in his van so we all had plenty of space and were very comfortable during the trip. 10/10 recommend.Written 26 January 2025
- chrislQ7195AI0 contributionsMore than worth it!Martin provided an incredible experience for my family. From a prompt scheduled pickup at our hotel in Edinburgh to an amazing tour through the Scottish highland and Glasgow, every aspect of the experience beat expectations. We were privy to an insiders view of the beauty and history of Scotland with stops in numerous, incredible, local spots.Written 7 January 2025
- Kelli G0 contributionsBeautiful, Engaging, More than Expected! The opportunity to see Scotland from the point of view or hear the old wives tales from a true Scotsman was worth every moment. We saw amazing castle heard wonderful stories and even had moments as family to explore at our leisure…oh not to forget the highland cows! There was no pressure to rush, George allowed our family to walk about and pace ourselves to really enjoy every visit. He even brought us to a local eatery which has award winning fish and chips. Lunch is not eaten until about 2:30-3:00. George provided waters and biscuits but if you need more before lunch, some snacks are encourage to bring along with you. We highly recommend this tour!Written 1 January 2025

- W9214RSfranh0 contributionsPerfect tour for those who want a “taste” of Scotland in a short time.We had limited time and chose a one day excursion from Edinburgh to The Highlands. We booked through the Viator app and paired with our tour guide Martin with (E2G Tours Scotland). This tour encapsulated and highlighted some of the best views, sceneries, lochs, and castles precious to Scotland. We stopped in the quaint town of Luss, visited and fed Highland cattle, walked through beautiful pastures with sheep, explored castles with so much history, drove through the amazing Highlands with breathtaking views around every turn, passed incredible lochs, and even stopped for a “whiskey toast” at the Three Sisters, Glencoe. All of this and more, intertwined with fabulous folklore shared by Martin made our experience a memorable one. The online description of this tour is spot on. Martin will customize to suit your preferences and timeline. He was punctual, informative, and engaging with his witty banter. Highly recommend!Written 20 November 2024
- PayneFamily40 contributionsAmazing tour, excellent guide, spectacular experienceWe cannot say enough good things about meeting Jas and E2G during our vacation in Scotland. Jas called the night before our tour to introduce himself and make sure we were on the same page for our tour. During that call I asked if there was a way we could see and feed some Highland Cows during our tour which he immediately said he could accommodate. He picked us up on time, was completely flexible to any and every request made during the day, he prepared for our stops with information cards and shared his knowledge with us, he was a very good driver and such a pleasure to spend time with. We were so thankful for our day with Jas and it remained a highlight of our two week stay. We will definitely use his services when we return to Scotland in the future. If you want a spectacular private tour he is the man to call.Written 20 November 2024
- LibbyD2230 contributionsFelt like going on a tour with a friend!Private tour at just the right pace! Joao was super friendly and made our day interesting and relaxed. We asked for a mix of sights from Glasgow … Stirling Castle, Midhope, Doune, hielan coos, Luss, Loch Lomond and highlands drive … and we did all of that on a cold winter day! The van was super comfortable. Martin was super easy to plan with and Joao made conversation so easy, it was like catching up with an old friend. Highly recommend this company for a private tour!Written 20 November 2024
- 120carriev0 contributionsFirst private tour - worth it! Beautiful day with the family touring amazing countrysideFirst time booking a private tour - we'll never get on a group tour bus again! Warm, cozy and comfortable. George attended to every detail - car temp, waters and treats, great play list! He told interesting and entertaining stories that built on each other along the way. We were able to see more places than a similar group tour itinerary. At some stops, we saw the tour bus pull up for a few minutes to let their guests look out the window (Three Sisters - what?!), while we were able to walk about, enjoy the view, hear the storied history and take beautiful family pictures. Our schedule was relaxed and easy. We were in the mood for an afternoon coffee, so pooped into a Cafe in Oban extending our time there. We spent a few extra minutes feeding the Highland cows carrots - my daughter's favorite part of the trip! Pick up and drop off at our door was great. It was nice to say our goodbyes and head up to our room. No need to sort out how to get across town after a long tour. I highly recommend taking this private tour - for the price difference, I found so much value in the enjoyment of the day that can't be matched on a large group tour. Thank you for curating such an incredible trip!Written 19 November 2024
- alexanderoA6583LH0 contributionsHighly RecommendAn absolute treasure of an experience. Beautiful scenery and iconic locations all throughout this journey. Our guide, Shak, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He ensured we had enough time to see the many stops along the way and provided some very interesting facts about each place. This is the best way to experience the highlands. Highly recommend!Written 13 November 2024

Our driver/guide, George, was the absolute best!! There was a miscommunication on which “Leonardo” hotel we were staying at - and this saint of a man arrived in Edinburgh early in the morning (from Glasgow) and George checked each hotel to make sure he picked us up on time. I went to the lobby early at 8am and he was already there. And that was before the tour even started! George showed us as much of Scotland as possible in 12 hours. We will forever be grateful for his knowledge and love of his country and its history - and that he shared it all with us. We wanted to see some filming locations (Doune Castle - Monty Python & the Holy Grail - the French Taunter; Game of Thrones - Winterfell; and Outlander - Castle Leoche) and the Glenfinnan Viaduct, along with as many beautiful and historical locations as possible. George introduced us to: The Kelpies, Loch Lomand , The 3 Sisters: (Mountains named Faith, Hope, Charity) and the site of the Glencoe Massacre, the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Jacobite Train - and the Hogwarts Express) & the Highland Coos) . We will remember this day forever and are so so so grateful to George for his kindness and wisdom.

Im a massive fan of the books and the movies. Despite recent controversies. The world still holds a special place in my heart. This trip helped me ge t back in touch with that special place from my childhood. Seeing the Harry Potter bridge was such a special thing!! We also got to see Winterfell which was amazing. The other Historical castles were special, apparently some were used for filming outlander as well as other movies. Shame the Real Hogwarts wasn't available :P
