A great rib ride with lots to see.
We were taken out by Dara and Colin and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The weather didn’t spoil the views and scenery we got to see, we even got to see seal pups.

      Fantastic evening cruise

      Lovely cruise and super crew
The crew were so super friendly and the Captain was very informative. Despite the rain the trip was amazing and the scenery was breathtaking. We saw lots of seals on the island including some cute pups. The Captain let us shelter under the wheel house when the rain was torrential and the guys were so considerate and polite. The hot chocolate was delirious too 🤤

      Beautiful trip.....lovely staff
Beautiful boat trip, all the staff were lovely. The captain recommended the waterfall walk which we completed today and without the knowledge we definitely wouldn't have known about it so thank you ❤. My only bit of advice and that's all it is, I noticed at large moments on the return everyone had given up looking out of the window and listening to the commentary. I think the captain did mention it was a stretch with not much happening, so many some history about Scotland to fill the time...not just about Fort William. I think it would give the trip the edge it needs and keep everyone interested 🙂

Relaxing, enjoyable way to see the area from the water and to learn about local history.
A great opportunity to see Fort William, Ben Nevis and some of the area around Loch Eil from the water and to learn lots about the history of the area. The person doing the commentary was very knowledgeable.

      An experience spoiled
The cruise was good with some interesting information and history. However as the history was delivered as an unbalanced, politically biased, rant it completely ruined what would otherwise have been a very nice experience. Such a pity.

      Very informative!
Really nice cruise. The crew was informative, fun and welcoming. The views were spectacular! There was a lot of information about aquaculture, and local camping for youth - just a really great time! And the views!!!! Five stars!

Although we have been to the Fort William area many times, this was our first trip on Loch Linnhe and we’re really pleased we did this 2 hour cruise. Despite encountering problems with booking online, we spoke with the helpful staff who ensured our booking was in place. Although you can take dogs on this cruise, we decided not to as we’d read beforehand that everyone needs to be very quiet near the seals, so didn’t want to risk any barking! On the trip we had rain, wind, low cloud / mist and then sunshine with blue skies, so a real mixture. We stayed up top (and got a bit wet) to make the most of the changing scenery, which, seeing it all from the Loch, gave a whole new perspective to the landscape. The crew provided commentary along the way and took us around seal island, so passengers left and right of the boat got an equally good view of these lovely creatures. Salmon and mussel farms also interesting to see/hear about and I’d happily recommend Cruise Loch Linnhe.

I would highly recommend this cruise, very good value and the captain’s commentary was very informative and entertaining. Seeing the seals in their natural habitat was amazing and we stared at them as they stared at us! Do go, you won’t regret it.

My husband, teenage daughter and I booked the two-hour boat trip for late afternoon in mid-August this summer. It was amazing! We had hoped to see seals and we were rewarded by seeing over thirty in and around the island in Loch Linnhe - really brilliant! The trip included a lot more than seals – we very much enjoyed listening to the skipper’s commentary in which we heard about local history, had landmarks pointed out to us and many other factual snippets were shared throughout. We are so pleased that we took this trip and can highly recommend it as a fun addition to staying in Fort William!

This trip was disappointing. Bad weather forced us to go on Loch Shiel instead of Loch Linnhe, which can happen. But the captain had little running commentary on what we were seeing, where we were going or tidbits about the culture, geology, etc. as described on the website. Consequently, we did not see any sea life, such as seals, otters, porpoises, eagles or any other wildlife, and really didn’t learn much along the way. As I said, bad weather can happen. But if forced to take a different route than advertised, the captain should have a plan B as to what we will be seeing and the commentary we will hearing.
The boat we were on had an indoor cabin that held about 30 people. But the rest of the passengers were forced to sit or stand outside on the deck. So show up early if you want to sit inside and be protected from the elements.

Great 2 hour trip, went right round to the Caledonian Canal and nearby sawmill, very informative commentary was provided about the points of interest and the Loch itself, as well as Fort William and Ben Nevis. The weather was fine for this trip and Ben Nevis was visible for the majority of the trip, which allowed for numerous photos. The boat then travelled down the Loch stopping to view old crofters houses and both Salmon and Mussel farms. Then it was time for the seals, roughly 20 to 30 of them have made their home on a piece of rock sticking up out if the Loch. The boat approached them slowly and proceeded to circle the rock (slowly and after requesting that the people on board remained quiet and still). This was a great experience, the seals just ignored the boat and continued to lay about on the rock. One or two bobbed into the water and had a quick swim but none of them appeared to be concerned about either the boat or the people. After this it was back up the Loch to the pier. On the way details about seals and Ben Nevis were given. Overall an excellent trip and in my opinion good value for money. Full marks to the crew on the boat.

We booked this a few hours before visiting Fort William and chose the 3:30 pm cruise as it was a long drive to get to the town from Aviemore. So glad we took the last cruise as there can't have been more than 12 other passengers. The weather was a bit rainy but this didn't dampen our enjoyment. The Captain and his fellow crew member were very knowledgeable and helpful.

We went on the 1 o’clock trip today as a family of 4( 2 adults and 2 teenagers) We all really enjoyed it and would definetly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and we particularly enjoyed the information provided about the area. We saw the seals and their pups on the rock which was great. It’s a really good way to take in the gorgeous scenery. Thank you

We booked this trip based on having previously gone on a cruise of Loch Linnhe many years ago and this time we wanted to take our children , 7 and 5. We also took our their grandmother who even though she walks with a stick was able to access the boat on all levels. The skipper was extremely knowledgeable and we learnt about the area and local landmarks. Absolutely fabulous. The highlight of the trip has to be Black Rock Seal Island but the whole trip was well planned, interesting and value for money. Would highly recommend this trip for families of all ages.

Booked this trip to get another perspective on the beautiful area around Fort William. Very clean boat with good facilities. The crew were very good and informative giving us interesting facts about the harbour at Corpach, The Caledonian Canal, Salmon farming, Mussel beds & the lovely Seals just basking on their own little Island. Refreshments available on board. A real must do when visiting Fort William & really great value.

Really enjoyed this: Our welcoming and super-friendly host that day was Meghan, who looked after us throughout the cruise, from arrival through to deboarding at the end.

The highly knowledgeable stand-in skipper steered around the loch, and pointed out all the interesting features, surrounding settlements, black houses, interesting vessels and working fisheries. Meghan was always on hand to look after us, and to answer questions as we wnet along

We slipped almost silently up to seal island, and passed far closer than I expected to the island’s resting seals.

The boat itself, Elsie, seemed brand new and offered plenty of space to spread out and take in the views. Warm indoor seating sheltered us from the less then pleasant elements that day, and there was a wide deck at the rear, with a 360 degree viewing deck up on top.

A surprising well stocked supply of (sensibly priced) hot and cold refreshments were on offer, so just as well that a proper toilet was also on hand.

The jetty was easy to find and get to from the town. Bring your binoculars, although some were available to borrow, for a better view of the landscape – maybe even an eagle if you’re lucky enough. The cruise was as flat as it gets on a loch!
