Dublin Freedom Pass: Unlimited Transport and Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing
From US$40.60
Overview
When you aren’t familiar with a foreign city, it's easy to spend the majority of your budget simply getting around. Save yourself both money and time with a Dublin Freedom Pass, which grants you unlimited use of public transport, as well as a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus pass. This cost-effective pass also includes discounts on entry to top Dublin attractions and the use of round-trip transport from Dublin Airport, saving you hundreds in entrance fees and taxi fares.
What to Expect
After collecting your pass from a pickup point in central Dublin, receive a handy map containing detailed information about the city’s public transport network.

Plan a personalized itinerary using your pass, which includes unlimited use of buses, airport transfers on the Airlink Express, and discounted entry to select Dublin attractions such as the Old Jameson Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, and the National Wax Museum Plus.

Some attractions and areas you can visit while using the hop-on hop-off pass include Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, Guinness Storehouse, the Dublin Zoo, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, and Trinity College.
Itinerary
Airlink Express Service:
Use the bus service to travel between Dublin Airport and the city center, Temple Bar and all Dublin train and bus stations. The convenient service operates daily, every 15 – 20 minutes. Choose from two routes: 747 & 757.

Dublin Green Hop-On Hop-Off Tour:
Show your pass on a choice of two routes around the city, and see or visit Dublin’s top attractions at your own pace. Simply hop on or off wherever you like; any entrance fees are your own expense.

Purple Route:
Stops include Cathal Brugha Street, Abbey Street Corner, Trinity College, Nassau Street, National Gallery of Ireland, Leinster House, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin Visitor Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Guinness Storehouse, Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham Gaol, Heuston Station, Dublin Zoo, Ryan’s Victoria bar, National Museum of Ireland, Jameson Distillery at Bow St, Four Courts, Liffey River Cruise, Dublin bus HQ and Dublin Writers Museum.

The Docklands Route:
Stops include Cathal Brugha Street, Abbey Street Corner, Busáras (central bus station), North Wall Quay, North Wall Quay at Spencer Hotel, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, Jeanie Johnston Famine Ship, Grand Canal Dock, Cardiff Lane, Pearse Street and Gardiner Street Lower.

Dublin Public Transport:
Board any of the central Dublin buses to travel around the city and to coastal seaside towns anywhere on the Dublin Bus network.

Discounted Attraction Entrance:
  • The Guinness Storehouse (up to 6% saving)
  • The Old Jameson Distillery (up to 7% saving)

Ken is great!

Hopped on and off for 2 days. Ken was the best driver, especially his singing. The others were good too. Very nice way to get oriented quickly in a new city 5/5 would hop on again!

Not worth it for us

I would not buy the Freedom Pass again. If we had to do it again, we would simply buy a one-day pass and spend one day on the bus, perhaps using it to see the Guinness site (which we didn't go to). Doing one loop...More

This pass does not cover the LUAS. You can buy a 1day or 7day LUAS pass depending on your stay. Great city. Enjoy.
