- jasondZ1249PM0 contributionsSuper guide!!Pat was great as a guide!! Very informative with the history with context and how it related to what we were seeing. Pat was also able to tie in the why what we were seeing was the way it is.Written 5 December 2024
- 294staceyk0 contributionsGreat Castle experienceBeing able to climb up in the castle is amazing. Little tricky with the steps and having a rope to hold onto, but well worth it. I didn't kiss the Blarney stone, but I already have the gift of gab. The grounds around the caste make for a nice walk with the poison garden; very interesting. Worth it to see and do!Written 3 December 2024
- saaamanthalynn0 contributionsPerfect non touristy tourist thing to doWe enjoyed this tour as it was the perfect non touristy tourist thing to do. I really liked the fact that you’re just driven where you need to go, and you do the exploring on your own without being paraded around by someone holding a flag that clearly indicates you’re tourists. The Marina Market was the perfect ending activity as well after viewing the castle. The bus was comfortable and modern, and the only big tourist stand out but I can look past that.Written 2 December 2024
- JackBurton3000 contributionsUnsafe driver, unresponsive company. The first day of our tour went as expected and as advertised. Our driver Dave was pleasant and professional and we had a nice time. However, day two was the worst tour we have ever experienced. It felt unsafe and was not as advertised. It started at 7:10am when we checked into the warm Cork office 10 minutes before scheduled pickup time. We were directed outside to stand near the empty shuttle bus. We waited for over 25 minutes standing in cold 38 degree Fahrenheit/ 3 degrees Celsius weather. We then got into the cold shuttle bus where we needed to wear gloves and hats on the bus to stay warm. We stopped in Limerick only for paid restrooms and there was no chance to see the City (only 19 minutes total time including walking across street and up stairs). We barely had time to use the restroom or get water or coffee/tea. Based on the posted itinerary, we expected some brief time to see the city. We then drove past St. John’s castle. We had no chance to stop or take pictures and were unable to really see castle from the bus. Based on the posted itinerary, this seems very misleading as we did not really get to see the site. All this time and through the trip, the driver, Brian did not seem to know how to drive a manual transmission vehicle. He stalled out on our journey. However, that did not stop him from driving over the posted speed limit and driving very aggressively throughout our journey. He even joked that he was going to “drive the shuttle like he stole it”. This was our biggest concern- safety. He was actually pulled over by the police for speeding on the way to the Cliffs of Moher and I could hear the police officer said that multiple cars complained of the tour bus illegally overtaking them as he was speeding, which I can confirm happened. Brian also ran over speed bumps at full speed through multiple towns and created a very uncomfortable / bumpy drive. My sister and I both felt sick driving with Brian and neither of us is prone to motion sickness. Needless to say, this was awful as we traveled multiple hours with him. The Police Officer continued to follow the tour bus for 10 minutes as I believe he was concerned for the passengers safety. We did not stop at Doolin for lunch, as was advertised on the posted itinerary. We went straight to the Cliffs of Moher for one hour and 30 minutes. After the Cliffs, we went to a Cafeteria style restaurant for lunch with limited options. The staff there was friendly, which was good because for the next two hours and 25 minutes we waited there and back at the Cliffs of Moher visitor center ( almost four hours in total). We did not go to Bunratty castle as advertised. Instead another Driver, Shay, took us to another Driver, Richard, for our return trip. Shay was very nice and apologetic. Richard was also very nice and a good driver. The rest of our trip was uneventful, as we made our way back to Dublin. Needless to say, this was a very negative experience and not what we expected from such a reputable and well reviewed company. I contacted PaddyWagon multiple times with my concerns, but they did not even respond. Would not recommend.Written 2 December 2024
- Ever8130 contributionsPaddywagon Tours is the way to travel in Ireland! We took a trip to the Giant's Causeway from Belfast. (this one it’s not listed in the dropdown menu). The experience matched the quality of our Dublin trip: a modern, clean, and comfortable bus. Our driver was attentive and kind, ensuring a safe journey while sharing engaging stories and local history along the way. We highly recommend Paddywagon Tours!Written 1 December 2024
- Ever8130 contributionsGiant's Causeway: A Must-See Destination! The Giant's Causeway is an extraordinary place that shouldn't be missed. And at this time of year, it's pleasantly uncrowded, allowing you to fully appreciate its stunning landscape. The unique rock formations are truly remarkable and offer an unforgettable experience. We loved the sunny day trip to Giants Causeway. I bet you will like it too!Written 1 December 2024

- Katie_Horn20 contributionsDon't Book for a SundayWe loved Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle (and kissing the Blarney Stone!), and getting a bit of time in Cork. However, don't book on a Sunday because the English Market is closed. Without it, there wasn't much to do other than shop and get a quick bite to eat. If you want to kiss the Blarney Stone, you can actually do it for free, have someone film you doing it, then go to the bottom to see if you want to purchase one of their pictures of you kissing the stone for €10. That way, if you don't like their pics, you still have the video on your phone. Don't pay any money unless you want their photo that you see before purchasing, and if so, pay at the bottom. I will say, the staircase to the stone is very windy and small. People with mobility issues may struggle.Written 1 December 2024
- Jessica V0 contributionsBus tripOur driver was great. Shay knew a lot of fun facts. He kept the tour on schedule for the itinerary. The bus was clean and comfortable After talking with family. We think it would have been better without the stop in cork. More time at Blarney. Rock do Cashel was beautiful and just the right amount of time (30mins)Written 30 November 2024

- KD94381570 contributionsChange in itinerary disappointingThe experience was good, but not perfect. Michael and Liam were very good guide and driver. We had just the right amount of time to explore the Rock of Cashel. It was pretty cool place but would have liked more information once we actually got to the site. Next we went to Blarney which was a change to the itinerary. Exploring the castle and gardens was really amazing. However, because we were there through lunchtime (to 2:30), it wasn’t enough time to also explore the wool shop and eat. I took 15 minutes to grab a sandwich but that left no time for the shop which I was greatly disappointed with. Had we stopped in Cork first, that would have easily taken care of getting lunch and I would have had full time for both the castle and the shop. Cork was a waste of time. The English Market had all fresh foods, mostly unprepared, so you couldn’t really purchase anything. I had to kill time in a department store. I was pretty mad about that actually. I am contemplating how I can get back to Blarney on my last day in Dublin so I can do the shop (according to my daughter is wonderful).Written 28 November 2024

- 231arw0 contributionsBeautiful Cliffs, Freezing Cold Bus!The best part of the tour was the Cliffs of Moher. We got very lucky and had a very clear view on the day we were there. However, there were other aspects of the tour that were frustrating. Every stop felt rushed. If I'd had more time, I would've done an overnight trip to the west coast. I would also have reversed the route we took. We got to Galway around 10am and had to leave by 11:30am. Most of the shops were closed, and the Christmas Market that the tour guide told us about did not open until 12:00pm. If we'd gone to the Cliffs first, we could've enjoyed Galway more in the afternoon when more of the shops and restaurants were open. Also, we didn't stop to eat until nearly 3:30pm, and we only had 40 minutes, which felt very rushed. Luckily, I had packed some snacks and gotten a coffee in Galway. I would recommend bringing snacks, and/or purchasing food in the morning that you can eat on the bus. The bus was freezing! It was a very cold day, and the driver did not turn on the heat. We asked him to, and it seemed like he did for a few minutes, but then turned it off again. There were 6 of us on the mini-bus, and we were all shivering even with our coats, etc. It was nice to meet and chat with fellow travelers. The Cliffs of Moher are definitely worth a visit, but it may also be worth looking at other tour companies.Written 21 November 2024

Basically what we had was a transfer service. Until we reached the first stopping point - Monasterboice - the driver shared some historical but recent information that focused on the separation of the two Irish and religion. The first criticism goes to the inclusion of this cemetery / monastery in the tour, during the winter. It is already uninteresting and under adverse weather conditions worse. The trip to Belfast followed, where we were given 2 hours to explore the city without being given landmarks (except the city hall). Then the Titanic Experience, which was really interesting, but again we felt that time was short and more information about the available options was missing. To end in beauty (irony) we left Belfast at 3:10 pm when the time indicated in the tour description was 4:00 pm. The return was hurried and at a much faster speed than the outward. I am going back to Ireland but PaddyWagon, no thanks.
All the irish joy and fun was not found on this driver (Mr. Edan) and that was another sad fact.
Information on paddywagon website when i booked the tour was the following.
Depart Belfast for Dublin
We'll regroup around 16:00 and head back towards Dublin. After crossing the border we'll return through the rolling countryside of County Louth. We'll make a comfort stop en-route if required and drop you off in Dublin at approximately 18:30.

Belfast day experience was definitely an experience, a bad one at that. Our bus driver for the day, Jimmy, not only made up historical facts about the history of ireland, culture and city, but also acted in an incredibly pushy and unwelcoming manner to promote tour extras. We were asked about a dozen times to do the black taxi tour despite making it clear that we did not want to. When we stopped for a toilet break, people would not be allowed off the bus without telling if they wanted to go on the tour or not.
During the actual bus ride, the driver told stories about "Northern Ireland being 90% english", how the "protestant church" held control over northern Ireland and insensitivity compared the troubles to the war in Ukraine at the moment. An offensive joke about "Ghettos" was also made as we left O'Connel street. He also didn't seem particularly confident or interested in whathe was telling, as every statement was followed by an "I guess", "I think/suppose" or "kind of". He's also told another passenger to "shut up and stop talking" as we approached Belfast City Hall.
The air conditioning the bus wasn't functional either, and the speaker system was way turned up way too loud, to the point that you could hear the bus drivers breathing throughout the tour.
I am incredibly disappointed with this tour because of the attitude and behaviour of our driver today, which I did not expect from Paddywagon, based on my lovely past experiences on other tours with the company.
Would recommend the tour, if it was done by a driver with better manners, respect for customers and knowledge of the local history.

Booked a small bus tour through Paddywagon, which was supplied by elegant tours, was supposed to be to the Giant causeway and then a choice of the Titanic Museum or Black cab tours of Belfast.
The coach and driver were fine, but not really a tour, we might as well have got a cab.No information on route at all. Nothing was pointed out about the filming of Game of Thrones locations as described in the itinerary. We were then told that our tickets didn't cover entry to the Titanic museum and the Black cab tours were fully booked because of a cruise ship in, do we couldn't do that either.
We strongly explained to the driver that we all had emails stating that these were included, and she phoned the head office back up. They eventually managed to get us booked in the museum but quite late. I don't know if Paddywaggon was just trying it on as we were only a group of 8 or just incompetent. Either way, I would not book through this company again. I actually felt sorry for the driver who was quite new to the company and dropped in the deep end. She did do a lot of driving , was very pleasant, and dropped us back to our hotel.

This company is horrible. They are rude and wait days to return emails. With all the trouble in the world and what everything people They will not refund the money to students who had to be sent home because of the coronavirus I am studying in Dublin and bought tickets for gifts for family. And now I am being sent home. I contacted them 25 instead of 28 days out and they still refuse to refund my money. Be very careful they are not like the others I had met in Ireland. They are just about the money. Sad!

WORST EXPERIENCE ever. We did a tour on the 2nd of January 2023. I wrote an email complaining and it’s been one month and still zero reply. I called twice, no one knows anything, I went to the office, no one can do anything. My girlfriend and I, her mom and sister were left at Belfast and the bus driver had our documents and money in the bus and refused to tell where he was going to drop our belongings. He even called me liar and was very disrespectful. They replaced the Titanic experience saying they only found out that the museum was closed. But after searching on the internet I saw news from November last year. They replaced the Titanic experience for something cheaper, they left one hour earlier from what was stated in our tickets, left us four there in Belfast, had our belongings in the bus, and were really disrespectful, aside from not answering any of my complaints so far.

Terrible waste of a day. Neil the Driver was short tempered and slightly rude throughout the day. The entire experience felt rushed with no stop for morning restroom and coffee from the start. The bus was cramped and small with no air ventilation. The ruins stop was rushed and uninformative, Titanic was brief with not enough time for the exhibit, and the Dropoff at Belfast city hall was a complete waste of 2 hours with nothing to do but roam the streets. On the return ride to Dublin, Neil decided to do a restroom stop by vote. This I feel was completely unprofessional on his part.

Booked this tour on Tuesday 9th April for Wednesday 10th, for my Grandson and I who are visiting from Australia. When arrived in Belfast we were informed that the Titanic museum was closed due the roof damage sustained on the Saturday previous.
We were instead sent to a distillery tour where neither myself nor my grandson drink alcohol, and had absolutely in this activity.
Had we have been made aware of the museum closure we would have wasted an entire day of our trip travelling to Belfast from Dublin.
I contacted Paddy Wagon tours to request a refund, however although they apologised, they claimed they not made aware of the museum until our tour arrived on the day in question.
I find this rather difficult to believe as we are obviously not the only group to book this trip and surely a company who regularly sends groups to the museum would be confirming numbers for their tour dates.
In the end they claimed it was against company policy to offer refunds under these circumstances.
Well thank you very much Paddy Wagon tours, but I will certainly not be recommend your services to anyone in the future.

The bus picked us up a block from the stated pick up location about 15 minutes late. We were late getting to and leaving just about every stop, except we got back to Dublin a bit early because we didn't do the final comfort stop on the way back (as mentioned on the Paddywagon tour website). Also on their website they mentioned their coaches have "Free 4G unlimited WiFi & USB ports" and while the wifi did work the whole time, there were no USB ports. The guide, Ian, was not very entertaining or informative and was more annoying than anything, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't just me as multiple people on the coach asked him to stop talking during the drives or not to sing.
Monasterboice was an interesting quick stop, though kinda small, but fine. Free time in Belfast was fine. The biggest issue was that we only had 2 hours at the Titanic Experience, even though the website says "Enjoy approximately 150 minutes to explore the exhibition at leisure". I was very rushed toward the end of the Experience to make sure I got back to the bus on time and I didn't have any time to explore the dock area around the Experience, including the SS Nomadic.
I would absolutely return to the Titanic Experience someday, but I wouldn't use Paddywagon again.

Where to start. The driver was informative and we always felt safe. He was very attentive to everyone location and make sure we all understood when and where we should be .
Now for the bad, this was the most uncomfortable way to spend 2 hours I honestly check on prices for a private car back to Dublin that how bad it was. First the Wi-fi on the bus must be dialup or AOL.. really. Second we were picked at the Molly Malone Statue, and the bus was basically full. There were empty seat, but by people we didn’t know, and well I kinda wanted to sit with my wife. The only way we could sit together was to squeeze into the back row of 5 seats. Yea that back row no one ever sits in. No arm rest, not tray table, just the heat of the person next to you that was as uncomfortable as you. Another thing about those seats, they must be lower because it felt like my knees touched my chin.
The ride back was the worst. You sss others taking a nap, and even a couple of them stretched out over 2 seat, meanwhile I’m holding on to a coffee cup and water bottle trying not to lean on anyone..
black cab ride and Titanic were amazing, but they were kinda ruined by the transportation. I do imagine the 5 people that had rows to themselves will write glowing reviews.
